After wrapping up his discussion with the Alpha of the White Fang pack, Dane glanced in my direction. He emerged from the bathroom, wearing nothing but a towel wrapped around his neck. Drying his hair with that towel, he smirked. “Alpha Nathan will ask the Gater family to visit our pack in a few days.”

Wow. Translation: Alpha Nathan will order the Gater family to visit me. Was it so easy for the Alphas to order around? I couldn’t help but chuckle, my earlier anger vanishing into thin air. I got out of bed and walked towards him. Circling my arms around his chest, I said, “Thanks.” My hands rested on his hip. I tilted my head up and gazed at him with fondness. “That was quick.”

He stared intensely into my eyes. “How about a quickie?”

I jerked my head back, but he immediately arrested me in his arms. “What the hell?” I rasped, but my Alpha was already so erect that even through the layers of fabric I was wearing, I could feel his rock-hard erection.
