“Avalor we need to stop this, we need to stop searching in vain.” Sam pleaded with Avalor who was now in a deserted area of the city as he continued to walk around.
“She is still out here, I know it!!” Avalor yelled in frustration as he stared at the environment in disgust what could have possibly brought her here?
He paced closer to the trail her scent was leaving but he was stunned and also shock to see the scent leaving up the roof.
“This is become more absorbed, is she probably walking around in her werewolf form or else there is no way Melissa in her human form would claim that high.” Sam said to Avalor who also starred around in frustration.
Sam took a step closer to Avalor, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Alpha Avalor, we must try to remain calm and think logically," he urged, his voice steady and gentle. "I understand your desperation to find Melissa, but we have been following her scent for three weeks now. It doesn't make sense for her to be in areas that she can't reach in her human form."
Avalor's eyes narrowed as he processed Sam's words. It was true. Melissa, in her human form, would not have the capability to reach such high rooftops. The scent trail they had been tracking had led them through densely populated areas, but also to locations that seemed inaccessible to a regular human.
"I don't understand, Sam," Avalor muttered, frustration lacing his voice. "Why would Melissa lead us to places where she can't possibly be?"
Sam's expression turned thoughtful, his brow furrowing in concentration. "Perhaps she is intentionally throwing us off her trail," he proposed. "Or maybe there's something else at play here. We need to consider all possibilities."
Avalor's grip tightened on his alpha pendant, his mind racing with thoughts and worries. He took a deep breath, trying to center himself. "You're right, Sam. We cannot lose ourselves to frustration. We must strategize and think critically."
Sam nodded, his eyes reflecting determination. "I suggest we retrace our steps and investigate these areas further. There may be something we've overlooked or a clue that could lead us to Melissa."
“But why would she try to lead us through the wrong she isn't running away from me but from Lucas and she must have sensed me coming.” avalor said to Sam who was also confused.
“Avalor, can you please stop trying to sniff out Melissa.” Sam said to Avalor who had a frown on his face as he wondered what Sam would want him to stop searching.
“Why?” Avalor asked Sam, who stared around anxiously before moving closer to Avalor.
“Why do I feel like someone is following us and because you are so bent on tracing Melissa who couldn't sniff out anyone around you, what if you aren't the only Wolf in this realm?” Sam whispered to Avalor who also glared around trying to see if he could stop sniffing out Melissa for the first time in few weeks.
“I can't do it, she the only thing in my head and even if I try to cut the scent off it is still being impossible.” Avalor whispered to Sam who groaned in frustration.
Sam's voice grew more desperate as he pleaded with Avalor. "Avalor, please, for once, just stop trying to find Melissa and focus on your surroundings. I have a feeling that someone else is following us, and we need to be aware of our surroundings."
Avalor's eyes widened in surprise at Sam's words. He had been so consumed with finding Melissa that he hadn't even considered the possibility of another werewolf being nearby. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, trying to silence the constant pull of Melissa's scent in his mind.
With great effort, Avalor managed to push aside his obsession with finding Melissa and opened himself up to his surroundings. His enhanced senses immediately picked up on a faint but distinct scent of another werewolf. It was a mix of familiarity and unfamiliarity, sending a shiver down his spine.
Avalor's gaze locked with Sam's, both of them realizing the gravity of the situation. There was another werewolf in their midst, and they had no idea if this individual was friend or foe.
"We need to be cautious," Avalor said, his voice low and serious. "Whoever this werewolf is, they've been able to go undetected until now. We can't afford to underestimate them."
Sam nodded in agreement, his eyes scanning their surroundings for any signs of movement. "Let's stay alert and keep our guard up," he said, his voice filled with determination. "We need to find out who this werewolf is and what their intentions are."
As Avalor and Sam continued their search, their focus shifted from solely finding Melissa to now also uncovering the identity of the mysterious werewolf lurking in the shadows.
“How would we find this stranger if their other thousand of wolfs around.” Avalor asked but the question was directed mostly to himself than to Sam.
“Up there!!” Sam yelled to avalor who looked up quickly to see someone running on the rooftop very fast, Avalor was about to chase after the stranger but he stopped as he continued to stare at the person running.
Something about this person was so familiar to him, as he stared at the shadow he started to slowly recognize who it could be.
Sam pushed avalor to bring him back to his senses that the wolf was running away but Avalor was still so busy staring at the body physiques of this person and at the same time trying to remember someone he knew looked like that.
“Lu….lucas?” Avalor stuttering in shock and after saying the name he recognized him completely,
“It cant be him! He followed after me into the human realm.” Avalor murmured in shock as Sam seemed even more stunned at what he heard Avalor say.
“How is that possible?”
“He followed me!!” Avalor yelled in annoyance, he couldn’t believe Lucas had the guts to follow here to the human world despite him being the reason why a war is brewing up in his pack.“That bastard still outsmarted me despite me giving him a second chance and not killing him!” Avalor yelled and Sam noticed he was slowly getting angry.Avalor's anger flared, his fists clenched tightly as he seethed with frustration. Lucas, the betrayer who had caused so much turmoil in their pack, had somehow managed to follow Avalor into the human world. It was a blatant disregard for the dangers he had unleashed and the potential war that was brewing.Sam quickly stepped closer to Avalor, his voice calm but firm. "Alpha Avalor, I understand your anger, but getting worked up won't solve anything. We need to focus on understanding why Lucas is here and what his intentions are."Avalor took a deep breath, trying to reign in his anger. "How is it possible?" he muttered, his mind racing to find an expla
I drove my car into the parking lot of the company, Richard had just gifted me this car few days ago for being his best employee of the month and I was ready to rock it not caring what anyone was going to say about it.I felt so happy with myself with the things i was slowly achieving as it turned out the clients I was working hard with finally accepted my project so Richard was even more than happy with me as he called me a blessing in disguise to his life.As I stepped into the company all the employees began to greet me respectful as I was now one of the most important people in the building, everything felt so perfect until I saw something on the billboard of the company’s and also on some employees tab, it was my picture.Few days ago Richard had told me he needed me to do some photo shoot just in case of any urgency as I had not filled up my application letter, was this what he wanted to use it for? I rushed up to his office almost immediately and without even knocking I stepped
It was soon nightfall and Melissa was still busy in the office and Richard was still being sad due to the fact that Melissa still took him as a mere friend, Richard felt like no matter what he did Melissa won’t still love as this made him to wonder who the real father of the triplets she was carrying was, if really she hated the father of her unborn children or if she loved him.He paced back and forth in his office unable to decide what to do as he felt like all his feels for Melissa was soon about to be thrown into the trash and being of our use…he knew deep within him that he would hate it if The person Melissa love was to ever return. Finally, Richard made up his mind. He couldn't let Melissa slip away without a fight. He approached her in her office, his expression a mix of determination and vulnerability."Melissa, I've been thinking," he began, his voice filled with sincerity. "I can't bear the thought of you going home alone tonight. Would you consider coming back to my place
Melissa rubbed her hand on her eyes sluggishly to wake her up from the slumber she was fall into due to the late night work she was giving herself. She stared at her computer screen and smiled in victory to how far she had gotten which her speech for the upcoming party as she wasn’t sure she would have the chance to right another due to all her busy schedules, she turned on her phone and went through all her messages including those from Richard making her groan loudly.“Why did you have to fall in love with me Richard, I can’t be able to handle it all.” She whispered to herself before looking around only to notice that everyone had already gone home leaving only her in the building. She arranged her bag and was just about to leave when she heard her name being called by a familiar voice.“Come out, come out wherever you are.” She heard the familiar voice call,“Who could possibly be calling my name this late at night?” Melissa whispered to herself as she stepped out of her office.Me
Melissa's mind raced as she searched for an excuse to appease Richard's curiosity. She knew that revealing her true identity as a werewolf would only complicate matters further. But she also couldn't keep hiding the truth from him forever. "I... I didn't want to burden you with my past," Melissa stammered, her voice filled with hesitation. "Lucas... he's just someone from my past who has some unresolved issues with me. It's complicated, and I didn't think it would affect our relationship."Richard's expression softened as he listened to Melissa's explanation. He could sense that she was holding something back, but he didn't want to pressure her further. He wanted to give her the space she needed to open up when she was ready."I understand that everyone has their own past, Melissa," Richard replied, his voice gentle. "But I want to be there for you, through the good and the bad. You don't have to face these challenges alone."Melissa felt a mix of relief and apprehension. She wanted
Avalor paced around his room thinking and hoping Sam was able to follow Lucas and also hoped wherever he led Sam to had Melissa there, just then Sam walked in and took off his hoody.“How did it go? Did you find Melissa?” Avalor asked anxiously.“Yes, she is alive and doing okay but there is juts a little issue.” Sam said as Avalor was happy but at the Same time hoping the little issues won’t drift him further away from Melissa.“What’s this issue?” He asked same who sighed loudly before clearing his throat in attempt to speak.“Melissa isn’t letting her guard down for one bit as she would sniff you coming from miles away and the amazing turn of events is she doesn’t even want you there.” Sam said before taking a seat and Avalor joined him.“I thought you said she was your mate and ran away because of Lucas but why else would she not want you there, even though she didn’t see you she still looked frightened that you might pop out, I am afraid we might have to let her be till she is re
Melissa tried to process everything ricard had just said, why was it when she felt like things would go back to normal? That's when he suddenly appears and everything gets ruined again.“How can he be your client?” Melissa questioned.“Why can’t it be them?” Richard questioned placing Melissa in another tight position as she though of how else to make Avalor sound bad.“I heard about his company and ugh…he is involved In illegal things, why didn’t you tell me about it before it happened?” Melissa lied.Richard sighed heavily, realizing the weight of the situation. "Avalor's company approached me for a business deal," he explained to Melissa, his voice tinged with regret. "They made an offer that was hard to refuse, and I ended up signing the contract."Melissa's eyes filled with desperation as she pleaded with Richard. "Please, you have to find a way to back out of the deal. Avalor's company is not what it seems, they are involved in illegal activities. I can't let you get caught up i
Richard's face softened, his eyes reflecting a mix of guilt and concern. He knew deep down that Melissa was right, but his responsibilities and commitments weighed heavily on him. He sighed, searching for the right words to convey his predicament."I know, Melissa, and I wish I could stay. But this business trip is crucial for our company's future, and I've already made arrangements," Richard explained, his tone filled with regret. "I've been trying to find a solution, though. I've hired a cook who will be staying here with you while I'm gone. She'll take care of everything and make sure you're safe."Melissa's eyes widened in surprise. A cook? She hadn't expected that.As Melissa processed the unexpected news, she couldn't help but feel a mixture of relief and curiosity. A cook staying with her could provide some much-needed support during Richard's absence. It would ease her worries about managing household chores and meals while also ensuring her safety. "Richard, a cook? That's..
