Determination

“Avalor we need to stop this, we need to stop searching in vain.” Sam pleaded with Avalor who was now in a deserted area of the city as he continued to walk around.

“She is still out here, I know it!!” Avalor yelled in frustration as he stared at the environment in disgust what could have possibly brought her here?

He paced closer to the trail her scent was leaving but he was stunned and also shock to see the scent leaving up the roof.

“This is become more absorbed, is she probably walking around in her werewolf form or else there is no way Melissa in her human form would claim that high.” Sam said to Avalor who also starred around in frustration.

Sam took a step closer to Avalor, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Alpha Avalor, we must try to remain calm and think logically," he urged, his voice steady and gentle. "I understand your desperation to find Melissa, but we have been following her scent for three weeks now. It doesn't make sense for her to be in areas that she can't reach in her human form."

Avalor's eyes narrowed as he processed Sam's words. It was true. Melissa, in her human form, would not have the capability to reach such high rooftops. The scent trail they had been tracking had led them through densely populated areas, but also to locations that seemed inaccessible to a regular human.

"I don't understand, Sam," Avalor muttered, frustration lacing his voice. "Why would Melissa lead us to places where she can't possibly be?"

Sam's expression turned thoughtful, his brow furrowing in concentration. "Perhaps she is intentionally throwing us off her trail," he proposed. "Or maybe there's something else at play here. We need to consider all possibilities."

Avalor's grip tightened on his alpha pendant, his mind racing with thoughts and worries. He took a deep breath, trying to center himself. "You're right, Sam. We cannot lose ourselves to frustration. We must strategize and think critically."

Sam nodded, his eyes reflecting determination. "I suggest we retrace our steps and investigate these areas further. There may be something we've overlooked or a clue that could lead us to Melissa."

“But why would she try to lead us through the wrong she isn't running away from me but from Lucas and she must have sensed me coming.” avalor said to Sam who was also confused.

“Avalor, can you please stop trying to sniff out Melissa.” Sam said to Avalor who had a frown on his face as he wondered what Sam would want him to stop searching.

“Why?” Avalor asked Sam, who stared around anxiously before moving closer to Avalor.

“Why do I feel like someone is following us and because you are so bent on tracing Melissa who couldn't sniff out anyone around you, what if you aren't the only Wolf in this realm?” Sam whispered to Avalor who also glared around trying to see if he could stop sniffing out Melissa for the first time in few weeks.

“I can't do it, she the only thing in my head and even if I try to cut the scent off it is still being impossible.” Avalor whispered to Sam who groaned in frustration.

Sam's voice grew more desperate as he pleaded with Avalor. "Avalor, please, for once, just stop trying to find Melissa and focus on your surroundings. I have a feeling that someone else is following us, and we need to be aware of our surroundings."

Avalor's eyes widened in surprise at Sam's words. He had been so consumed with finding Melissa that he hadn't even considered the possibility of another werewolf being nearby. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, trying to silence the constant pull of Melissa's scent in his mind.

With great effort, Avalor managed to push aside his obsession with finding Melissa and opened himself up to his surroundings. His enhanced senses immediately picked up on a faint but distinct scent of another werewolf. It was a mix of familiarity and unfamiliarity, sending a shiver down his spine.

Avalor's gaze locked with Sam's, both of them realizing the gravity of the situation. There was another werewolf in their midst, and they had no idea if this individual was friend or foe.

"We need to be cautious," Avalor said, his voice low and serious. "Whoever this werewolf is, they've been able to go undetected until now. We can't afford to underestimate them."

Sam nodded in agreement, his eyes scanning their surroundings for any signs of movement. "Let's stay alert and keep our guard up," he said, his voice filled with determination. "We need to find out who this werewolf is and what their intentions are."

As Avalor and Sam continued their search, their focus shifted from solely finding Melissa to now also uncovering the identity of the mysterious werewolf lurking in the shadows.

“How would we find this stranger if their other thousand of wolfs around.” Avalor asked but the question was directed mostly to himself than to Sam.

“Up there!!” Sam yelled to avalor who looked up quickly to see someone running on the rooftop very fast, Avalor was about to chase after the stranger but he stopped as he continued to stare at the person running.

Something about this person was so familiar to him, as he stared at the shadow he started to slowly recognize who it could be.

Sam pushed avalor to bring him back to his senses that the wolf was running away but Avalor was still so busy staring at the body physiques of this person and at the same time trying to remember someone he knew looked like that.

“Lu….lucas?” Avalor stuttering in shock and after saying the name he recognized him completely,

“It cant be him! He followed after me into the human realm.” Avalor murmured in shock as Sam seemed even more stunned at what he heard Avalor say.

“How is that possible?”
