Determination.

It was soon nightfall and Melissa was still busy in the office and Richard was still being sad due to the fact that Melissa still took him as a mere friend, Richard felt like no matter what he did Melissa won’t still love as this made him to wonder who the real father of the triplets she was carrying was, if really she hated the father of her unborn children or if she loved him.

He paced back and forth in his office unable to decide what to do as he felt like all his feels for Melissa was soon about to be thrown into the trash and being of our use…he knew deep within him that he would hate it if The person Melissa love was to ever return.

Finally, Richard made up his mind. He couldn't let Melissa slip away without a fight. He approached her in her office, his expression a mix of determination and vulnerability.

"Melissa, I've been thinking," he began, his voice filled with sincerity. "I can't bear the thought of you going home alone tonight. Would you consider coming back to my place with me? We can talk, spend some time together."

Melissa looked up at Richard, guilt weighing heavy on her heart. She appreciated his concern and affection, but she couldn't bring herself to accept his offer. She knew that deep down, she had rejected the opportunity to be the face of the new product not because of him, but because of the danger it would bring to her and her true identity.

"Richard, I appreciate your offer," she replied softly, trying to find the right words. "But I think it would be best if I go home alone tonight. I need some time to sort through my thoughts and emotions."

Richard's face fell, disappointment evident in his eyes. He had hoped that Melissa would choose to be with him, to give their budding relationship a chance. But she couldn't let her guilt and fear dictate her decisions.

"I understand, Melissa," Richard said, his voice tinged with sadness. "Just know that I care about you deeply. If you ever need someone to talk to or a shoulder to lean on, I'll be here for you."

Tears welled up in Melissa's eyes as she nodded, grateful for his understanding and support. "Thank you, Richard. Your friendship means the world to me. I just need some time to figure things out."

“Are you expecting him to return.” Richard subconsciously asked Melissa who paused immediately staring up at Richard.

“Who?” Melissa asked Richard making the words stuck in his throat as he wondered what her response could be.

“The father of your unborn children.” Richard murmured and just as he had expected Melissa had a huge frown on her face.

“He is as good as dead to me.” Melissa said.

Richard looked at Melissa, his heart filled with a mix of sadness and determination. He had always cared for her deeply, and seeing her reject the father of her unborn children only reinforced his desire to be there for her.

"Melissa, I want you to know that you deserve so much better," Richard said, his voice filled with conviction. "You deserve someone who will cherish you and your children, someone who will be there for you through thick and thin."

Melissa looked up at Richard, her eyes filled with a mixture of gratitude and vulnerability. "Richard, I... I don't know what to say."

Richard took a step closer to her, his gaze unwavering. "You don't have to say anything, Melissa. Just know that I'm here for you. I want to be the one to support you and your children, to be the father figure they deserve."

Melissa's voice trembled as she spoke. "Richard, I... I never expected this from you. You've always been such a good friend, but I never imagined..."

Richard gently placed a hand on Melissa's shoulder, his touch filled with warmth and comfort. "Melissa, I've loved you for a long time. I've seen how strong and resilient you are, and I want to be by your side. Let me be there for you, let me love you and your children."

Tears welled up in Melissa's eyes as she looked into Richard's sincere gaze. She had never expected him to feel this way about her, and a part of her was scared to let him in. But another part of her longed for the love and support he offered.

"Richard, I... I don't know if I'm ready," Melissa whispered, her voice filled with vulnerability. "I still have so much to figure out, and I don't want to burden you."

Richard smiled softly, his eyes filled with understanding. "Melissa, love isn't a burden. It's a gift. And I want nothing more than to be there for you and your children. Take all the time you need, but know that my feelings for you won't waver."

Melissa nodded, her heart filled with a mix of hope and fear. "Thank you, Richard. I appreciate your patience and understanding. I just need some time to process everything."

Richard leaned in and gently kissed Melissa's forehead. "Take all the time you need, Melissa. I'll be here, waiting for you."

As he turned to leave the office, Richard couldn't help but feel a sense of hope.

But unknown to Richard he was walking out of the company and danger walked right past him into the company, Richard hummed a happy song in his mind as he walked past the figure and just after he had drove his car and left Lucas took off his hoodie with an evil grin.

He breathed in the air in the environment and it was filled of Melissa’s scent, he smiled in satisfaction…he had finally found her. She was in this company and he wasn’t going to let her walk out alive.

“Come out, come out wherever you her.” He sang with a knife in his hand, he had already made up his mind Melissa dies tonight.
