Chapter 66

Dom’s POV

After the pack doctor insured me that Kit would be okay, I had the two men that assaulted her to deal with. They would pay dearly for laying their hands on my mate, and so would their boss.

I should have known after I had spoken to her father’s lawyer that I should have put protection detail on her, but I never thought that they would come for her. I was the one digging into the estate not her, but I should have known that they would have gone after her, sending a message to me, a message that I had heard loud and clear, and that they would all pay with their lives for.

After leaving Kit last night like I had, I found myself not able to go home, or sleep and ended up in my office at the Town Hall. There I spent the rest of my night digging into the dealings of Kit’s brother-in-law, where I had found him doing dealings with individuals that my father had band from our territory. With further digging, I also found out that these individuals were investors of hi
