Chapter 73

Dom’s POV

My men had Kit’s father’s estate now like a fortress, as I made my way up the lane to the house. There was no one getting in or out without me knowing about it, but I still didn’t feel at ease knowing that they had already tried to send a message.

Ms. Caroline was at the door waiting for my arrival and ushered me to the back patio. When I stepped outside, I was shocked to see only Kit’s sister waiting on me at the table, but of course that was why Kit had called me over.

“Sophia, it is good to see you. Kit said that you needed to talk to me and needed my protection.” I told her as I moved to take a seat next to her, and I could see that her face was tear stained telling me this was hard on her to go against her mate like this.

Nervously, Sophia shakes her head yes, as she says to me, “If I tell you what I know, I can’t ever go back. Katrina tells me that you will protect me and my children if I talk.”
