Kit’s POV

For a moment, I wanted to believe that I was seeing what my mind wanted me to see, but I knew it couldn’t be him, because we had buried his body, the day after the war was won against Red Moon. But there standing at the bottom of the grand stairs stood a man, with the same eyes that Dom had, staring back at me. It was as if I was witnessing a frozen moment in time from the night of the ball, and everything around me now wasn’t real.

My sister’s hand that I was once holding for support, slowly evaporated from my own grasp, like it was never there in the first place. My head at that moment began to spin, as if time was rewinding, and everything that had happened had all been a dream. If this was true, I knew if I looked to my right, Alpha Jace would be surrounded by a group of starving women trying to get his attention.

Closing my eyes, I turned my head to the right, half scared to open them, because in my heart, I wanted this to so badly to be

Kit’s POVSeven years later… “Damian, grab your brother, and your sister and get in here. We have to leave now, if we are going to make it.” I yelled out the backdoor, as I was now in a panic that we were going to miss the ceremony. Dom was making sure that all our luggage made it to the SUV, as I rounded up our children to head to Mystic Shadow. Ms. Caroline at that moment moved from the kitchen with a basket in her arms, and I knew from the smell coming from it, she had baked a fresh batch of her famous cookies for the road trip there. It didn’t take much convincing on my behalf to get Ms. Caroline to come and live with us at our new estate. She was treated more as family then she was as hired help, and she had a cottage on our estate to call home, when she needed her own space. “You heard your mother, lets get a move on it.” She yelled out the backdoor, reinforcing what I had already said, and I gave her a smile knowing

Kit’s POV My chest heaved as I looked down at my untouched plate at the dinner table. I didn’t know that he, of all people, was going to be here. It had been five years since I had laid eyes on him. Five whole years, since I had to tolerate the feeling that one look gave me, just at the sight of him, and five years later, he gave me the same feelings. Feelings that I didn’t want, at least not from him. Our destiny had been written in stone as the elders would have said, two born on the blood full moon, four years apart, one of Alpha’s blood, and one of Beta’s blood, joined to breed the perfect next heir. But I had taken my destiny into my own hands years ago, when I stumbled acrost my perfect to be mate with another. The whole facade of this crazy world our Alpha was allowing to happen wasn’t what our Moon Goddess had wanted for us, and I wasn’t going to be apart of it. I wasn’t going to allow myself to be bred to the Alpha’s son, becaus

Kit’s POV His eyes instantly meet mine as I take a step back finding myself pinned against the wall, with no where to go, as he says to me, “It’s been far too long Kit.” His tone was so cool and smooth as if nothing had ever happened wrong between the two of us, and it sickened me that he thought he had the right to just come after me like he had. My tongue at that moment got the better of me as I said back to him, “Not long enough, if you ask me. I see things haven’t changed.” His body moved to me like the speed of light, pinning my body against the wall, making me realize that I had made a grave mistake, not because I feared that he would hurt me, but because I knew that I couldn’t allow him to be this close to me. His breath now tickled against my flesh as he leaned down, and I dared not to inhale his intoxicating scent, in fear the pills aren’t enough to keep my wolf at bay. His hand at that moment lifted, and the bac

Kit’s POV Thankfully, my sister’s party went on, and Dom and his cascade of she wolves disappeared for the rest of the night, leaving me to somewhat enjoy the rest of the party. Of course, my sister’s successful union was a reminder of my failure to the family, but I was happy for her as long as she was happy. As the night died down, and the guest began to leave, the few she wolves that lingered began to speak of tomorrow night’s ball, while the men were off talking, I assume business. The ball was the main ball of the year, where all the most eligible and wealthiest among all the packs in the regions would be attending. The she wolves of our pack would go all out for this event trying to snag themselves the wealthiest, highest rank mate, and this year proved to be the same, as I listened in on the conversation among those, she wolves that remained. For the last two years I have been of age to attend, but I had no desire to attend or fin

Kit’s POV Stepping out of the car, I wondered to myself, what the hell was I thinking as I made my way up the grand staircase into the ballroom. Last night this sounded like a great idea, but now as I make my way through all the people gathered here, as they part and their eyes are on me, I wonder how grave of a mistake I have made. My sister had pulled through for me with the most lavishing dress I have ever set eyes on. It was the most stunning shade of light blue, that sparkled in the moonlight, with a million tiny crystals embroidered delicately among the sheer fabric. It hung on my body, accenting my curves in all the right spots, and I looked like the Moon Goddess herself as my light blonde hair cascaded down my right shoulder in soft curls. It had been over five years since I had seen a soul around here, and not a face in sight looked familiar to me, but I guess none of that really mattered because I was on a mission and that miss

  • Luna Renounced   Chapter 5

Kit’s POV A growl radiated from Dom, before, “Kit” slipped from his lips, and I knew by the way he said my name, he wasn’t in the least bit liking the fact that I was on Alpha Jace’s arm, and that was exactly what I wanted. I wanted him to feel the pain of seeing me with another, the same pain that he had caused me all those years ago, and I wanted him to know that he would never have what he so desired. Alpha Jace turns to me at that moment and says, “I thought you said your name was Katrina.” A nervous giggle slipped from my lips, before I say to him, “It is, but Domonic and I grew up together, and he has always called me Kit.” I began at that moment to fan myself once again as I turned to look at Dom still standing in our way and then add, “Please don’t mind him, he is a bit overprotective of me, like an older brother, and he doesn’t know when enough is enough.” As my eyes remained on Dom’s hoping he was taking in all the words I was

  • Luna Renounced   Chapter 6

Dom’s POV When my eyes met with Kit’s tonight, I sensed something different about her, and to be honest, I couldn't take my eyes off her. Last night at her sister’s dinner party I wanted her more than I thought I ever had before, but tonight that need grew even more, especially when she showed up to the ball looking so enticing. But when her affection wasn’t for me but for Alpha Jace, I found myself unable to control my inner wolf, but thankfully I got ahold of myself before my wolf challenged him. It wasn’t until Kit stepped past me, did I smell her irresistible scent, and I turned to watch her take the dance floor in his arms. Taking another inhale of her intoxicating aroma, my wolf now came alive within me, making me realize why she was smelling so enticing, but it made no sense since Kit was without wolf, or was she? Making my way around the outskirts of the dance floor, I watched the two of them dance, as they took the dance floor o

Dom’s POV We had finally made it to the cabin, but Kit’s heat was almost in full bloom, and I was having a hard time restraining myself from taking her, especially since I could smell her innocence mixed with the sweet aroma of her heat. Picking her body up from the back seat of the SUV, to carry her into the cabin, heat poured from her skin, almost unbearable to touch, as she no longer screamed but moaned out in pain.I knew that I had to get her body temperature cooled down, or she was going to burn up. There were only two ways of taking the pain away, and one way I knew I couldn’t do it, at least not with her permission, even though I wanted her more than anything in this world, I wasn’t like my father, and I wouldn’t just take what I wanted. So, there was only one other option, but I knew that it was only a temporary fix, but I hoped that it was enough, that Kit could come back to her senses enough to allow me to take her pain away. Laying her fragile body onto th

  • Luna Renounced   Chapter 114

Kit’s POV Red Moon thankfully fell that day, but so much was lost in taking them down, and my heart ached at the pain it has brought to all of us. But by taking down Red Moon, an alliance among those packs that fought together, had been formed, and Alpha Jace was deemed as head of a council that was created, so that not one pack was solely in control of the region. Dom had made the ultimate sacrifice that day, and my world and Damian’s, will be forever changed because of it. I no longer had to worry about Damian’s safety, as Alpha Orion was dead, and Luna Rebeca was also gone, at the hands of Lizzy, who I will forever be in her debt for. My father’s estate was now my home, and for the first time it actually felt like a home to me, especially since I had Ms. Caroline in my life again. It all felt so surreal being here, since it was the place that I had feared coming back to, for so long, but now I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.Even t

  • Luna Renounced   Chapter 113

Dom’s POV I had loaded all the Alphas’ heirs in the van, like Alpha Jace had told me to, but as I began to drive down the lane with them, I found myself bringing the van to a complete stop, when I heard one of the Alpha boys say, “Domonic what is going on?” Looking into my rearview mirror, I realized quickly that he was talking to another little Alpha boy in the backseat, instead of me, and my eyes set on the little Alpha boy that was called Domonic. There was nothing about the Alpha boy that remotely looked like me, and it made me wonder if my intuition of Rebeca, not actually having my child was true. As I stared at him, I quickly realized who he resembled, and I knew now who Rebeca’s fated mate was. Damian at that moment whispers back to the other Alpha boy, “Don’t worry, you know our father will come for us.” As his eyes move to mine, looking at him in the rearview mirror.I didn’t have to think much on who he meant by their father,

  • Luna Renounced   Chapter 112

Jace’s POV Not even bothering to wait for a response from Alpha Domonic, I race towards the house, knowing that my mate could very well be inside, especially since Luna Rebeca disappeared inside moments ago. As soon as I stepped inside the house, I could smell Elizabeth’s sweet scent filling my senses, and I knew that she had to be recently here in the foyer. Following her scent, I moved towards my right, down a hallway that look to be leading to Alpha Orion’s office. Voices now filled the air, as I could hear Luna Rebeca arguing with someone, and by the sounds of it, that someone was her mate, as she was scolding him for going to leave her. Pausing in the hallway, I heard her say to him, “Everything I have ever done has been for you. You promised me that we could finally be together soon, with our son.” A growl rippled from the room and down the hallway, letting me know that the male in the room was no other than Alpha O

  • Luna Renounced   Chapter 111

Jace’s POV Alpha Domonic lets out a growl as he holds Luna Rebeca’s body by her throat, and I knew that I had to stop him from killing her at this moment, because it was now clear that we had our own bargaining chip to get Elizabeth back. Luna Rebeca obviously had a fated mate here at Red Moon, and I knew that her mate would do whatever it took to keep her safe. Even though I wanted Luna Rebeca dead for Kit and Damian’s safety, right now wasn’t the time to take her life, as we needed her to ensure my own mate’s safety. Shifting back into my human form, I move to Alpha Domonic, and say to him, “Don’t kill her yet. We need her to get Elizabeth back.” Alpha Domonic’s eyes move from Luna Rebeca to me, and I could see the anger in them for everything she had done to him, but right now he needed to focus on the task at hand and that was getting my mate back and saving the Alphas’ heirs. Releasing his grip, Luna Rebeca fell to the ground, gaspi

  • Luna Renounced   Chapter 110

Dom’s POV Seeing Rebeca’s wolf now standing before me, fueled a fire inside of me, as I began to see red at the sight of her, and I had no doubt she was a major player in what was happening here. She had accompanied these wolves here for a reason, and something told me that reason was to see my end come to me, but by the look in her eyes, it was clear that she wasn’t expecting to see Alpha Jace with me. Alpha Jace at that moment began to move to his right, and I knew that he was trying to block her from being able to escape to warn Alpha Orion of our arrival, as I remained having eye contact with her, to try and distract her from what he was doing. But Rebeca wasn’t stupid, as she took a step to her left, and I quickly mimicked her, not allowing her to get past me. But her foolishness to think that she could get past me, cost her ground, as Alpha Jace closed in on her. Rebeca was now trapped between the two of us, and she had no means of

  • Luna Renounced   Chapter 109

Jace’s POV It was clear that Dom was struggling with leaving Katrina like this, but he had his pack’s future to deal with. Plus, my Luna was still there, I am sure in danger at the hands of Alpha Orion, and I was going to make him pay for whatever he had done to her. It infuriated me that it had been her plan to go into Red Moon territory, deceiving me, but like Katrina had said, she was a female Alpha and a true Luna, and she thought she was doing this for the sake of all our packs. With that, I had to swallow my anger, and not take it to heart, because I knew if the shoe was on the other foot, I would have done the same thing. As we had been waiting to hear the outcome of Katrina’s surgery, the other packs had been getting into position, completely surrounding Red Moon pack’s borders. The plan that I had put in place after Alpha Domonic had left was a sure thing, at least it looked that way on paper. With having twelve packs backing us

  • Luna Renounced   Chapter 108

Dom’s POV We moved our conversation into the house, as Ms. Caroline brought us a cup of coffee, and Damian a cup of hot coco, while we waited for Kit’s surgery to be completed. We only had a few hours before the attack on Red Moon was to take place, but we knew that Damian held valuable information to help us save the Alphas’ heirs since he had been held with them. Turns out that the heirs were being held at Alpha Orion’s estate, and there were twelve boys in total there, each of them with the same names given to them of their fathers. There was no doubt in my mind that this was how Kit had put it all together what was happening there, because she had helped me the night before, making all the calls to the Alphas of the region and saw the complete list of all their names. Now that Alpha Jace and I had this information, Alpha Jace changed the subject and asked Damian, “Did you see another lady with mommy there?” Letting me know that he mu
