Kit’s POV My wolf at that moment took complete control just as she had the night of my first shift, but I was happy this time that she did, because we were in a dire situation, and we needed to get not only ourselves, to safety, but Damian now too. I couldn’t believe that I had found him in my last few seconds there, telling me that the Moon Goddess heard my prayers, and that she favored our fight against Red Moon. There was no doubt in my mind, that she disapproved of the conduct and behavior coming from Red Moon, especially their Alpha. Something that Alpha Orion said to me moments ago still stuck in my head, of what kind of revenge he could possibly be seeking, because I could only remember Red Moon always being at the top of the food chain. But it was clear that all of them had gone mad, and that he had to be delusional, because what Alpha condones, taking Alpha heirs from their packs. The sound of multiple wolves coming our way filled the air around us, and my wol
Dom’s POV While Alpha Jace and the other Alpha coerced a plan of attack, I stared at my cell phone on the table in front of me. As I stared at it lost in thought of how to save Kit and now not one son but two, I noticed the red-light blinking telling me there was a voice message. Picking my cell phone up I quickly move to the inbox, and see that the voicemail was from Kit, time stamped minutes before the text came through, and my heart sank now remembering her trying to call me, and me sending it straight to voicemail. Once again, I had foolishly put the pack over her wellbeing. Pressing play, I pulled the phone to my ear, but the voice on the voicemail wasn’t Kit’s but Rebeca’s instead. Another voice now joined in the conversation, and it sounded similar to Kit’s, but something was off. That’s when I realized that Kit must have been in disguise, and didn’t want Rebeca to figure out who she was. It was clear as I listene
Dom’s POV The impact never came from Kit’s wolf, but the sound of snarls and growls filled the air, making me open my eyes immediately to see Kit’s wolf ripping a wolf to pieces directly behind my car, as another wolf was on the verge of charging her. Without hesitation, I shifted into my own wolf intercepting the second wolf in mid-air, before it could lay a paw on her. As I took the wolf to the ground, sinking my canines into his flesh, I realized that the kill was easy, maybe a little too easy, and I had to wonder if this wolf was one of Red Moon’s finest warriors that every pack feared so badly. Kit’s wolf stood back up from its crouched position, and her eyes moved back to me, as I could see the wound on her hind leg begin to bleed more intensely. Shifting back into my human form, I popped the trunk of my car, pulling out a blanket, before I looked at her and said, “Shift Kit. We need to get out of here.” Thankfully,
Dom’s POV We moved our conversation into the house, as Ms. Caroline brought us a cup of coffee, and Damian a cup of hot coco, while we waited for Kit’s surgery to be completed. We only had a few hours before the attack on Red Moon was to take place, but we knew that Damian held valuable information to help us save the Alphas’ heirs since he had been held with them. Turns out that the heirs were being held at Alpha Orion’s estate, and there were twelve boys in total there, each of them with the same names given to them of their fathers. There was no doubt in my mind that this was how Kit had put it all together what was happening there, because she had helped me the night before, making all the calls to the Alphas of the region and saw the complete list of all their names. Now that Alpha Jace and I had this information, Alpha Jace changed the subject and asked Damian, “Did you see another lady with mommy there?” Letting me know that he mu
Jace’s POV It was clear that Dom was struggling with leaving Katrina like this, but he had his pack’s future to deal with. Plus, my Luna was still there, I am sure in danger at the hands of Alpha Orion, and I was going to make him pay for whatever he had done to her. It infuriated me that it had been her plan to go into Red Moon territory, deceiving me, but like Katrina had said, she was a female Alpha and a true Luna, and she thought she was doing this for the sake of all our packs. With that, I had to swallow my anger, and not take it to heart, because I knew if the shoe was on the other foot, I would have done the same thing. As we had been waiting to hear the outcome of Katrina’s surgery, the other packs had been getting into position, completely surrounding Red Moon pack’s borders. The plan that I had put in place after Alpha Domonic had left was a sure thing, at least it looked that way on paper. With having twelve packs backing us
Dom’s POV Seeing Rebeca’s wolf now standing before me, fueled a fire inside of me, as I began to see red at the sight of her, and I had no doubt she was a major player in what was happening here. She had accompanied these wolves here for a reason, and something told me that reason was to see my end come to me, but by the look in her eyes, it was clear that she wasn’t expecting to see Alpha Jace with me. Alpha Jace at that moment began to move to his right, and I knew that he was trying to block her from being able to escape to warn Alpha Orion of our arrival, as I remained having eye contact with her, to try and distract her from what he was doing. But Rebeca wasn’t stupid, as she took a step to her left, and I quickly mimicked her, not allowing her to get past me. But her foolishness to think that she could get past me, cost her ground, as Alpha Jace closed in on her. Rebeca was now trapped between the two of us, and she had no means of
Jace’s POV Alpha Domonic lets out a growl as he holds Luna Rebeca’s body by her throat, and I knew that I had to stop him from killing her at this moment, because it was now clear that we had our own bargaining chip to get Elizabeth back. Luna Rebeca obviously had a fated mate here at Red Moon, and I knew that her mate would do whatever it took to keep her safe. Even though I wanted Luna Rebeca dead for Kit and Damian’s safety, right now wasn’t the time to take her life, as we needed her to ensure my own mate’s safety. Shifting back into my human form, I move to Alpha Domonic, and say to him, “Don’t kill her yet. We need her to get Elizabeth back.” Alpha Domonic’s eyes move from Luna Rebeca to me, and I could see the anger in them for everything she had done to him, but right now he needed to focus on the task at hand and that was getting my mate back and saving the Alphas’ heirs. Releasing his grip, Luna Rebeca fell to the ground, gaspi
Jace’s POV Not even bothering to wait for a response from Alpha Domonic, I race towards the house, knowing that my mate could very well be inside, especially since Luna Rebeca disappeared inside moments ago. As soon as I stepped inside the house, I could smell Elizabeth’s sweet scent filling my senses, and I knew that she had to be recently here in the foyer. Following her scent, I moved towards my right, down a hallway that look to be leading to Alpha Orion’s office. Voices now filled the air, as I could hear Luna Rebeca arguing with someone, and by the sounds of it, that someone was her mate, as she was scolding him for going to leave her. Pausing in the hallway, I heard her say to him, “Everything I have ever done has been for you. You promised me that we could finally be together soon, with our son.” A growl rippled from the room and down the hallway, letting me know that the male in the room was no other than Alpha O
