Domโs POV While Alpha Jace and the other Alpha coerced a plan of attack, I stared at my cell phone on the table in front of me. As I stared at it lost in thought of how to save Kit and now not one son but two, I noticed the red-light blinking telling me there was a voice message. Picking my cell phone up I quickly move to the inbox, and see that the voicemail was from Kit, time stamped minutes before the text came through, and my heart sank now remembering her trying to call me, and me sending it straight to voicemail. Once again, I had foolishly put the pack over her wellbeing. Pressing play, I pulled the phone to my ear, but the voice on the voicemail wasnโt Kitโs but Rebecaโs instead. Another voice now joined in the conversation, and it sounded similar to Kitโs, but something was off. Thatโs when I realized that Kit must have been in disguise, and didnโt want Rebeca to figure out who she was. It was clear as I listene
Domโs POV The impact never came from Kitโs wolf, but the sound of snarls and growls filled the air, making me open my eyes immediately to see Kitโs wolf ripping a wolf to pieces directly behind my car, as another wolf was on the verge of charging her. Without hesitation, I shifted into my own wolf intercepting the second wolf in mid-air, before it could lay a paw on her. As I took the wolf to the ground, sinking my canines into his flesh, I realized that the kill was easy, maybe a little too easy, and I had to wonder if this wolf was one of Red Moonโs finest warriors that every pack feared so badly. Kitโs wolf stood back up from its crouched position, and her eyes moved back to me, as I could see the wound on her hind leg begin to bleed more intensely. Shifting back into my human form, I popped the trunk of my car, pulling out a blanket, before I looked at her and said, โShift Kit. We need to get out of here.โ Thankfully,
Domโs POV We moved our conversation into the house, as Ms. Caroline brought us a cup of coffee, and Damian a cup of hot coco, while we waited for Kitโs surgery to be completed. We only had a few hours before the attack on Red Moon was to take place, but we knew that Damian held valuable information to help us save the Alphasโ heirs since he had been held with them. Turns out that the heirs were being held at Alpha Orionโs estate, and there were twelve boys in total there, each of them with the same names given to them of their fathers. There was no doubt in my mind that this was how Kit had put it all together what was happening there, because she had helped me the night before, making all the calls to the Alphas of the region and saw the complete list of all their names. Now that Alpha Jace and I had this information, Alpha Jace changed the subject and asked Damian, โDid you see another lady with mommy there?โ Letting me know that he mu
Jaceโs POV It was clear that Dom was struggling with leaving Katrina like this, but he had his packโs future to deal with. Plus, my Luna was still there, I am sure in danger at the hands of Alpha Orion, and I was going to make him pay for whatever he had done to her. It infuriated me that it had been her plan to go into Red Moon territory, deceiving me, but like Katrina had said, she was a female Alpha and a true Luna, and she thought she was doing this for the sake of all our packs. With that, I had to swallow my anger, and not take it to heart, because I knew if the shoe was on the other foot, I would have done the same thing. As we had been waiting to hear the outcome of Katrinaโs surgery, the other packs had been getting into position, completely surrounding Red Moon packโs borders. The plan that I had put in place after Alpha Domonic had left was a sure thing, at least it looked that way on paper. With having twelve packs backing us
Domโs POV Seeing Rebecaโs wolf now standing before me, fueled a fire inside of me, as I began to see red at the sight of her, and I had no doubt she was a major player in what was happening here. She had accompanied these wolves here for a reason, and something told me that reason was to see my end come to me, but by the look in her eyes, it was clear that she wasnโt expecting to see Alpha Jace with me. Alpha Jace at that moment began to move to his right, and I knew that he was trying to block her from being able to escape to warn Alpha Orion of our arrival, as I remained having eye contact with her, to try and distract her from what he was doing. But Rebeca wasnโt stupid, as she took a step to her left, and I quickly mimicked her, not allowing her to get past me. But her foolishness to think that she could get past me, cost her ground, as Alpha Jace closed in on her. Rebeca was now trapped between the two of us, and she had no means of
Jaceโs POV Alpha Domonic lets out a growl as he holds Luna Rebecaโs body by her throat, and I knew that I had to stop him from killing her at this moment, because it was now clear that we had our own bargaining chip to get Elizabeth back. Luna Rebeca obviously had a fated mate here at Red Moon, and I knew that her mate would do whatever it took to keep her safe. Even though I wanted Luna Rebeca dead for Kit and Damianโs safety, right now wasnโt the time to take her life, as we needed her to ensure my own mateโs safety. Shifting back into my human form, I move to Alpha Domonic, and say to him, โDonโt kill her yet. We need her to get Elizabeth back.โ Alpha Domonicโs eyes move from Luna Rebeca to me, and I could see the anger in them for everything she had done to him, but right now he needed to focus on the task at hand and that was getting my mate back and saving the Alphasโ heirs. Releasing his grip, Luna Rebeca fell to the ground, gaspi
Jaceโs POV Not even bothering to wait for a response from Alpha Domonic, I race towards the house, knowing that my mate could very well be inside, especially since Luna Rebeca disappeared inside moments ago. As soon as I stepped inside the house, I could smell Elizabethโs sweet scent filling my senses, and I knew that she had to be recently here in the foyer. Following her scent, I moved towards my right, down a hallway that look to be leading to Alpha Orionโs office. Voices now filled the air, as I could hear Luna Rebeca arguing with someone, and by the sounds of it, that someone was her mate, as she was scolding him for going to leave her. Pausing in the hallway, I heard her say to him, โEverything I have ever done has been for you. You promised me that we could finally be together soon, with our son.โ A growl rippled from the room and down the hallway, letting me know that the male in the room was no other than Alpha O
Domโs POV I had loaded all the Alphasโ heirs in the van, like Alpha Jace had told me to, but as I began to drive down the lane with them, I found myself bringing the van to a complete stop, when I heard one of the Alpha boys say, โDomonic what is going on?โ Looking into my rearview mirror, I realized quickly that he was talking to another little Alpha boy in the backseat, instead of me, and my eyes set on the little Alpha boy that was called Domonic. There was nothing about the Alpha boy that remotely looked like me, and it made me wonder if my intuition of Rebeca, not actually having my child was true. As I stared at him, I quickly realized who he resembled, and I knew now who Rebecaโs fated mate was. Damian at that moment whispers back to the other Alpha boy, โDonโt worry, you know our father will come for us.โ As his eyes move to mine, looking at him in the rearview mirror.I didnโt have to think much on who he meant by their father,
Kitโs POVSeven years laterโฆ โDamian, grab your brother, and your sister and get in here. We have to leave now, if we are going to make it.โ I yelled out the backdoor, as I was now in a panic that we were going to miss the ceremony. Dom was making sure that all our luggage made it to the SUV, as I rounded up our children to head to Mystic Shadow. Ms. Caroline at that moment moved from the kitchen with a basket in her arms, and I knew from the smell coming from it, she had baked a fresh batch of her famous cookies for the road trip there. It didnโt take much convincing on my behalf to get Ms. Caroline to come and live with us at our new estate. She was treated more as family then she was as hired help, and she had a cottage on our estate to call home, when she needed her own space. โYou heard your mother, lets get a move on it.โ She yelled out the backdoor, reinforcing what I had already said, and I gave her a smile knowing
Kitโs POVFor a moment, I wanted to believe that I was seeing what my mind wanted me to see, but I knew it couldnโt be him, because we had buried his body, the day after the war was won against Red Moon. But there standing at the bottom of the grand stairs stood a man, with the same eyes that Dom had, staring back at me. It was as if I was witnessing a frozen moment in time from the night of the ball, and everything around me now wasnโt real. My sisterโs hand that I was once holding for support, slowly evaporated from my own grasp, like it was never there in the first place. My head at that moment began to spin, as if time was rewinding, and everything that had happened had all been a dream. If this was true, I knew if I looked to my right, Alpha Jace would be surrounded by a group of starving women trying to get his attention. Closing my eyes, I turned my head to the right, half scared to open them, because in my heart, I wanted this to so badly to be
Kitโs POV Red Moon thankfully fell that day, but so much was lost in taking them down, and my heart ached at the pain it has brought to all of us. But by taking down Red Moon, an alliance among those packs that fought together, had been formed, and Alpha Jace was deemed as head of a council that was created, so that not one pack was solely in control of the region. Dom had made the ultimate sacrifice that day, and my world and Damianโs, will be forever changed because of it. I no longer had to worry about Damianโs safety, as Alpha Orion was dead, and Luna Rebeca was also gone, at the hands of Lizzy, who I will forever be in her debt for. My fatherโs estate was now my home, and for the first time it actually felt like a home to me, especially since I had Ms. Caroline in my life again. It all felt so surreal being here, since it was the place that I had feared coming back to, for so long, but now I wouldnโt want to be anywhere else.Even t
