NINE

Levi followed her because they had to sort out the room situation. Somehow he had thought that they might share a room but after hearing what she had to say about their relationship situation, she knew that no way was ever happening. He might have to die first before they ever came in contact with each other.

"Is there anything else to say?" she asked, not turning back.

Levi gasped in amazement; he wondered how she had sensed that he was following her when he was being as quiet as he could be. "Are you a witch?" Those were not the words he was supposed to say but somehow they had gotten out. He expected her to rain down curses on him for asking her that but her reply was more calm than she had thought.

"Well, my staff call me that so I guess you won't be entirely wrong to say at." Levi did not know he was to laugh or feel sorry for her. Knowing her staff were afraid of her and she knew yet it did not get to her somehow made him feel sad for her. "Is there anything we did not discuss?"

"Not really"

"Yes or no because the response you gave just now does not fit the question," she said and he gulped.

"Well, I wanted to talk about the room situation," he said and she nodded. She could not believe that she had forgotten about that. Where was she supposed to sleep?

"Oh right," she said, crossing her hand over her chest and nodding. "So which is mine?" She had expected him to be the gentleman and give up the master's bedroom for her. After all, in all the romcoms she saw as a teenager, the man always did that and the woman would end up falling for him.

She knew that his giving up the bedroom for her did not mean anything and it was not supposed to make her fall for him but still, she wanted the comfort of the room. She did not want to have to be cramped up in one of the smaller rooms with all of her stuff.

"Since I got the house and took care of it all, I designed the master bedroom to fit my taste," he said, causing her to be shocked. He wanted to tell her that this was the first time he had seen another expression that was not an angry face on her. She always pulled an angry face, especially with him.

"You did? Didn't you?" She asked, trying her best to maintain her composure. It was just a room and it made sense for him to want the master's bedroom as well; he had grown up in luxury and it would not be different for him. He would want to stay in a spacious room as well. Why should he have to give it up for her? The houses they both lived in growing up were ten times bigger than this so she was sure the rooms would be smaller than what she was used to.

"Except you want it," he said as if he was willing to give it up for her. She was almost agreeing but then shook her head.

"If you had it designed for yourself, I am sure you wanted it for ourselves," she said. He shook his head.

"I can be a gentleman and..."

"There is no need to be a gentleman with me," she said, realizing what he meant. He would be the good guy and she needed both of them to be the bad guys to each other.

"Or we can share the room; it is big enough for both of us to share without getting in our way."

"Which one is mine?" she asks instead of responding to his claim. How were they supposed to share a room? She was still trying her best to wrap her head around the fact that they got married and now live together and he wants them to share a room. He must have some kind of plan she was not aware of and giving in to him was the most risky thing she could do.

"This," he said, pointing to the door as he began regretting the suggestion they share the room.

"Okay then," she said, walking to it with her hand on the handle.

"Wait," he said as the door flung open.

She turned to him and hoped he was going to say something actually beneficial to them both. "I can vacate the master's bedroom if you want it so much." He walked to the door and stood a few meters away from her. She stepped into the room and drew her lips into a thin line with her head shaking.

"I don't need the room," she said loudly

"But I just think that you might..."

She raised her hand in the air and waved it in his face. "What do you think you are doing?" Her tone was back to the icy cold one he was familiar with. He blinked in response because he was not sure what she was trying to ask him. "If you wanted me to have the master bedroom, you should have figured that out before I got here; all you had all of that time, you do not want to give the room to me; you just want me to think you are a good person, she stopped and took a deep breath.

"Well, news flash I already know you and I know what kind of person you are, you evil man," she said and he stood there stunned, unable to defend himself. He realized he had made a mistake by taking the master's bedroom and was now willing to give it up but her words were too harsh for him.

"I don't need the room and that is final," she said as she shut the door in his face before he could think of anything else to say.
