Chapter Sixty nine: Bar scene

KAMARIA POV

“Hey are you alright?”

I put down the drink I had in my hand to look towards Jonathan sitting across from me. “What do you mean?”

It is Friday night and I am hanging out with my best friends. We haven’t hung out like this since I came back to the State, and Bobby being a family man hopping bars seems to be a thing of the past.

It was Jonathan’s idea we come out this night. Cost me a fortune to get a baby sitter at a short notice despite Davina insistent argument that she is old enough to be on her own.

Well I don’t want child services knocking on my door trying to take my kid away, have got enough of that from her father.

“You seem distracted,” Jonathan yelled in a slightly loud voice from across the table.

The bar is getting rowdier as more people came in. It is Friday night and the bar is bound to get crowded as the evening wears on.

With the added loud music conversation is a tad hard.
