Chapter Sixty eight: An insurance

DAMIEN POV

I walked into Max office unannounced, luckily he had no client in and his secretary was missing.

“Damien!”

My presence was a surprise to him, like I said unannounced. Before he could say another word I dropped an envelope in front of him.

“I want you to use this during trial.”

Next week is the start of the custody trial and I am not leaving anything to chance.

Max picked up the envelope without an iota of interest on his face.

“What is this?”

“Just an insurance.”

My cold tone made Max look at me sharply, his dark brown eyes narrowing suspiciously in my direction.

“What did you do?”

I relaxed back in his sofa crossed my legs at the knees, looking totally unconcerned by the accusation in his tone.

“Damien!!!”

Dragging out my name was supposed to prompt me into talking, but the envelope can speak for itself.

“Why don’t you open it and see for yourself.”
