Chapter Seventy two: Running late

KAMARIA POV

“Mum, am I going to court with you?”

“No, baby, you are going to school,” I answered distracted. My attention was more on the eggs I was frying than on the conversation I was having with my daughter.

I woke late this morning because last night I forgot to set my alarm clock, and if we don’t leave within the next ten minutes I am going to be late to the court.

Not a good example of parent hood showing up late on the morning of your custody battle suit with your ex husband, and according to stuffy pants I must do my best to appear like a good caring and responsible mother through out this suit. Which means no dating, no questionable behaviours like driving drunk, or being caught with your pants down.

Told him emphatically that he wouldn’t have to worry about that with me, only someone with a love life worries about being caught with their pants down, my love life is as dry as the desert. Not that Mr superiority complex believed a word I said.
