Chapter Seventy five: Called up as a witness

DAMIEN POV

“Did he just fucking call me up as a witness?”

“Yep,” Max muttered in spite of my words being rhetorical.

“Do you know why he would do that?”

“I think it is because of your infidelities. We know this was going to happen, unfortunately you weren’t discrete with your affairs.”

“Good thing she is not a saint either,” I said ignoring Max disapproving tone.

I got to my feet buttoned up my blue suit and made my way to the witness box. Max have already drilled me on how to do this.

Keep my answers shot and try not to give away too much information that can be used against me.

The clerk administered the oat and I watched as the defending council approached me with the seriousness of a tiger ready to maul its prey.

“Please state your name for the court.”
