Chapter Seventy: I am scared

KAMARIA POV

We called it a night at eleven pm, deciding to go home before we get absolutely drunk. We are no longer as young as we used to be.

Being reminded that you are growing old can be depressing.

Outside the bar I tightened the red coat I had over the black gown I wore for the evening. It has gotten pretty cold.

As the winter months draws closer the nights are getting chillier.

It is a lot quieter than usual on the streets, with few drunk teenagers making ruckus here and there.

“Do we use one taxi?” Jonathan asked clutching his jacket closer to his slim frame. He had his hands protectively tucked into the pockets of his leather jacket.

“Might be wise,” Bobby agreed. He looked unaffected by the weather, and had the list covering over the shirt he wore for the evening.

Even though we leave in different streets using one Uber means we don’t get to leave someone behind.
