CHAPTER 42

GAIA

Javon was already at the restaurant when I got there. He was sitting at the far end corner of the room with a glass of water in his hand while he stared out of the window.

He looked lost in thought and I thought he'd even notice my presence as I stood at the door but he didn't. What was he thinking about?

He looked at me then, giving me a small smile as I started to approach him. This reminded me of the rare occasions that he took me out on dates. Everything was same, asides the smile.

“Hey.”

He greeted as I sat.

I nodded and dropped my bag in the floor beside me..

“Hey.”

The waiter came immediately as I sat. He took Javon's order first and then turned to me.

“Water is just fine. The sauce in the spaghetti, does it have an atom of fish in it? Or any seafood infact?”

The waiter nodded.

“There's a side of prawns that served with it.”

“He's allergic to seafood.”

The waiter's eyes widened.

“My apologies for not asking about your allergies. I'll tell the chef to take note of th
