Chapter 5

Chapter 5

Years passed, days and months went by, and I became one of the most famous models in the world. Today, we are celebrating the birthday of my princess, the princess of our lives. Mommy Matilde named her.

She is named Angie Suarez. At the age of 5, she has already achieved so much in school. She's intelligent, cheerful, kind, beautiful, and affectionate. She inherited her beauty from her father, not from me.

I can't help but remember him. I am just grateful to the Almighty that I inherited my kindness and affection from him.

Well, that was before. I will leave that in the past because Rhian is different now—no longer the one who was ridiculed and always wrong in the eyes of my former parents.

I have long forgiven them, but their shattered love for me can never be restored. Then someone offered me a modeling contract for their clothing line. Even though their brand wasn't well-known, I accepted it immediately because it was my way of helping promote their creations.

I’m not like other models who refuse to model for lower-class products just because they’ve become famous. I accepted two contracts: one for a new clothing line and the other for a perfume company.

JACKSON'S COMPANIES

The company belongs to my child’s father, Andrew Santorini Jackson.

'Wait for my return, because when I come back, I’ll make sure to have him chasing after me like a lovesick puppy,' I thought with a smile on my lips.

"What? Are you ready to go back to the country you came from? Are you ready to meet Angie's father again?" asked my friend Eli. "Are you ready to get hurt again?" he added.

"Someone offered me a contract, Eli, and I couldn't say no. He was one of my classmates in high school; even though we weren't close, he was kind to me," I explained.

"Are you bringing Angie with you?" he asked. "And have you really moved on?" he added, raising an eyebrow.

I smiled and chuckled softly at his question. "Yes! I've moved on, and yes! I want her to see the Philippines and how beautiful it is," I replied.

"What else can I do? You’ve already made your decision, so I’ll just go with it," he said. "So, do your second parents know that you’re going back? And is the place you'll stay comfortable and safe?" he asked. I just nodded in response.

"We don't have any issues with where we'll stay because we live in Mommy Matilde's mansion, and she has already helped both me and my child so much," I said. "And they know my decision and support the path I've chosen," I added.

Flashback

"If that's your decision, child, we will not stop you. We are happy with your choices," Dad said to me.

"Thanks, Dad, Mom," I said with a smile.

"But you have to follow what we want!" Mom said, making me a bit nervous. "We want you to live in the mansion and visit our business while you're there!" she added, and I sighed in relief.

"But Mom, what if they don't let me in? They don't even know me, Mom, Dad!" I said to both of them.

"Don't worry; we will take care of everything," Dad assured me, easing my worries.

Present

"Just be careful there, and by the time we come back, maybe our little Angie will have a sibling," I laughed at his joke.

"Okay, bye! I have to pack important things and Angie's stuff," I said.

"You're so mean to your manager," he teased, and I just laughed. "Okay, bye! Be careful on your trip. I'll join you once I finish cleaning up your mess here, just kidding!" he said.

"I'll wait for you. Bye, Eliana," I said.

After hanging up, I immediately started packing my things and Angie's things because we were leaving for the Philippines tomorrow morning.

THE NEXT MORNING: This morning was our flight back to the Philippines, and my child was super excited. I could see the excitement in her eyes, making me smile at her joy. Eliana would follow us after sorting out her other schedules.

"Yeahhh, we’re going to the Philippines, we’re going to the Philippines!" my child exclaimed while clutching her favorite stuffed toy, Hello Kitty. As we entered the airplane, she happily sang.

Once the plane took off, I glanced at my child, who suddenly fell silent. I smiled at the sight; perhaps she was so excited that she got tired and fell asleep in her seat.

Hours went by, and finally, we arrived in the country that motivated me to work hard in life.

'WELCOME TO PHILIPPINES AIRLINES, WE ARE HAPPY THAT YOU ARRIVED SAFELY IN THE COUNTRY.'

The greeting for all of us made me wake my child to prepare for our exit. I could see the excitement in her eyes.

"Are we here?" she asked me.

"Yes! Baby, so let’s go?" I replied. She stood up immediately and slung her little backpack over her shoulder.

Many people noticed her beauty. If someone looked at her, she would smile back immediately.

Then I spotted our driver and smiled, heading in their direction.
