I looked at him and smiled as if I hadn't experienced the turmoil he put me through yesterday.

'Yes, I've moved on, but the pain in my heart still hasn't healed. It's like a fragile thing that, once broken, is hard to put back together, with a scar etched into it,' I thought to myself while raising an eyebrow at him.

"Yes! Mr. Jackson?" I asked formally.

"A-ah, n-nothing," he stammered, making my eyebrow raise even higher at his reaction.

But I quickly turned my attention to Eli, who was speaking and furrowing her brow.

"You two know each other?" Eliana, my manager, asked.

I quickly responded to her question.

"Yeah!" I said, causing Andrew to look at me.

"Ohhhh! Can I know how you two met?" she asked again. I just smiled because I knew she was teasing me.

"I met him during a part-time job at a fast food restaurant," I replied.
