Troubles unending

Anna was in a bad mood throughout that day. She was still bitter over losing Mister Hamilton as one of her stakeholders.

There was a knock on her door, she frowned and got down from her bed. She went to the door and opened it.

She saw a maid outside the door.

""Ma'am, it is time for lunch."" She said.

Anna frowned, ""I do not want to eat. I am not hungry.""

""But, ma'am, your mother told me to call you down for lunch. She wants you to be present.""

""Did you not hear me?"" She said tiredly, ""I am tired."" She frowned and walked back to her bed.

The maid closed the door and left. A few minutes later, there was another knock on the door.

         ""Who is it?"" She groaned.

""Anna dear, are you in?"" A voice came from outside.

She got down from bed and went to the door. Her mother was outside.

""Mom? What are you doing here?"" She asked.

""Anna dear, what is wrong? Why will you not come down for lunch?"" She furrowed her brows.

""I am not hungry."" She looked away.

        She went inside the room.

""Why are you so upset? What is wrong dear? Tell me."" She said.

Anna sighed and sat on the bed, ""Mister Hamilton is no longer our stakeholder anymore."" She pouted.

Bella, Anna's mother, raised her brows in surprise.

""Oh my dear, what happened?"" She sat beside Anna.

""Evelyn came today and accused the PA Dad got for me, she called him a thief. Mister Hamilton tried defending him, but Evelyn insulted him."" She palmed her face, ""And I could not do anything."" She sniffed.

           ""So what happened after that?""

""I fired him."" She said quietly.

           ""Who?""

""The guy who was supposed to be my PA."" She replied.

Bella arched her brows, ""How did the innocent guy contribute to you losing Mister Hamilton?""

""If Evelyn had not seen him there, she would not have created a scene."" She whined.

""She was the one who created a scene, she was also the one who insulted Mister Hamilton. What did the young man do?"" She probed further.

""He is the cause of everything. He is bad luck."" She fumed.

""Why are you saying that, Anna? You can not just accuse someone of something when you are not sure of his past or his background."" Bella said.

Anna was silent, she never thought of that.

""But if whatever Evelyn said was true?"" Anna folded her arms.

""You are not even sure of his background, you do not even know this guy."" Bella sighed.

""What you did to the poor man was wrong, Anna, you have just made him lose a job that might have been beneficial to him."" Bella said calmly.

Anna began feeling a little guilty, she did not allow him to explain himself, she just fired him, allowing rage to fill her head.

""I am scared Mom, I do not want anything Evelyn said to be true."" She held her hand.

""You will not know unless you find out for yourself. Sometimes you have to do the findings yourself and not let other people's opinions rule yours."" Bella said.

Anna was quiet, she thought for a while.

""I think I wronged him Mom, I have to go look for him and apologize."" Anna said.

Bella nodded, ""That is exactly what you need to do at the moment.""

Anna stood up from the bed, ""I am going to look for him, but I do not know where he lives."" Anna twisted her lips.

Bella thought for a moment, ""Well you could try to skip tracing.""

Anna blinked, ""Skip tracing? How will that work? I really do not know much about him.""

""Well, well, just try any online searching, that would help. You have to be quick about that too.""

""Yes Mom, thank you so much."" She hugged her and walked to the door.

""Will you not have lunch at least?"" Bella asked.

""No Mom, I do not think I have that time."" She shook her head.

She left the room in haste.

""Take care of yourself!"" She shouted after her.

Kelvin was on his knees pleading.

""Missus Hiller, please have mercy on me. I do not have anywhere else to go."" His eyes were filled with tears.

Alexander was also on the floor pleading with Kelvin.

""Missus Hiller, please just give us some more time. We just need some more time."" Kelvin pleaded.

""I have given you enough time. I can not give you any more time than this."" She shook her head.

""Throw their things out! Come on, do not waste time."" She told the people who were busy throwing their things out of the house.

Jacky was confused and he held Kelvin's hand.

""Why are they throwing our things out, Kelvin?"" he asked.

           Kelvin was heartbroken.

""I am so sorry Jacky."" That was all he could say.

""What are you waiting for? Stand up and get out of here!"" Missus Hiller yelled at them.

Jacky did not know what was going on, but he joined Kelvin and Alexander in pleading.

""Missus Hiller, please do not throw us out."" He said tearfully.

Missus Hiller looked at him and laughed at them mockingly.

""You think your useless pleadings will save you? I have had enough. Please leave my house, I beg you."" She rolled her eyes angrily.

One of the men came to meet her.

""We are done throwing their things out, ma'am."" he said.

She looked at them, ""Now, please leave.""

""Missus Hiller, please just consider us for once. This is a very hard time for me."" Kelvin cried.

""Do I look like I care? I am not the reason you lost your job, am I?"" She scoffed, ""Now please stop your useless pleadings and leave my house now!"'" She ordered.

""Missus Hiller, where do you want them to go to?"" Alexander asked.

""Well, they can go to your house come, it is not as if you owe your homeowner as they do."" She smirked.

          Kelvin was bitter and embarrassed.

""If you do not leave right now, I will tell these men to throw you out!"" She yelled, ""Leave right now!"" She screamed at them.

Kelvin sniffed and wiped the tears from his eyes. He took Jacky by his hand, and they all left the house.

He was completely shattered and angry. What did he do to deserve all this?

""Let us go Alexander."" He said quietly.

They all left the house with their heads hung low.

The neighbors watched as they were being evicted. There were murmurs among them.

Kelvin was so embarrassed. He hid his face as he left the compound amidst the murmurs coming from them.

What would happen to them now?
