Finding him

Kelvin could neither cry nor laugh. He was just numb.

Alexander felt sorry for him, ""I think you both should come and stay with me. It is better than staying in the streets moping."" He sighed.

""Alexander, how did it get to this?"" He sniffed, ""Where do I go from here?"" He palmed his face and began to sob.

""Crying will not solve anything, Kelvin, you have to stand up and think about the way forward."" Alexander told him.

Kelvin removed his hands from his face, ""What else am I supposed to think? I have nothing in my head."" He heaved.

""We can only think of something when you are much calmer. Right now is not the time you should think."" he said calmly.

""I can not think of anything right now. I do not have any ideas."" He sniffed.

""Come on Kelvin, let us go to my house."" He sighed, ""At least I have paid for the next three months' rent."" He smiled a little.

""I am so sorry Alexander, you are already stressing yourself up because of me."" He sniffed and palmed his face again.

""It is okay. You do not have to worry about stressing me, we are friends and that is what friends do for each other."" He smiled.

Kelvin heaved heavily and took Jacky's hand. They all went to Alexander's house.

They got there and they all went in. Kelvin was in a hell of a state and was not settled at all.

""You have to calm down Kelvin, at least for Jacky's sake."" Alexander sighed.

Kelvin sat on a couch, held his head and closed his eyes. Nothing at that moment made any meaning to him.

Jacky went to him and sat beside him beside Kelvin's hand and squeezed it gently.

""We will be fine, right Kelvin?"" He asked innocently.

Kelvin raised his head, he wiped the tears from his eyes.

""Yeah, we will all be fine."" He nodded and wiped his face.

""Why are you crying?"" Jacky asked again.

""I am alright now."" He faked a smile, ""There is no need for you to worry about me. I am no longer crying because you are here Hun?"" He smiled sadly.

""You will be fine."" Jacky hugged him.

Alexander sighed, ""Let us go arrange these things inside."" He said.

Kelvin nodded and stood up, he followed Alexander inside.

Once inside the room, Kelvin broke down in tears. He had been trying to hold himself from breaking down in front of Jacky.

""I am finished Alexander, I am totally finished. I do not know where else to start from."" He cried.

Alexander sat on the bed and held his head, ""I am as confused as you are. I equally do not know what else we can do, but we should keep trying.""

""Trying? Alexander, I have tried everything. What else should I try? It just seems that bad luck follows me wherever I go."" He inhaled sharply.

""You do not have to think like that, maybe those are not the places you are destined to be in."" He pressed his lips together.

Kelvin heaved again and wiped his face, ""If there is a solution we need to think of, we should think of it very fast. I have a month and some weeks left to pay Justin back his money.""

Alexander nodded, ""That will be later. For now, you need to rest your head. You can only think of a solution in a sound mind.""

          ""Alexander?""

""Yes?"" Alexander turned to face him.

        Kelvin hugged him.

""Thank you so much Alexander, I do not know where we would have been without you. Thank you so much."" He said in what sounded like a whisper.

""You are always welcome."" Alexander patted his back.

""Come on now."" They disengaged from the hug, ""Let us arrange these things properly, and then you rest."" He said softly.

Kelvin nodded and, together, they properly arranged all the properties.

Anna was in her home office, she was using the Whitepages website, trying to locate anything relating to Kelvin.

It was fruitless as she did not even have his phone number or email to track him.

She groaned and held her head, ""I made a big mistake, I blamed my loss on a young man."" She said, totally pissed off with herself.

She rested back on her chair and looked around, ""How do I get to him? I am not even sure of his neighborhood."" She sighed deeply.

""Should I use a private investigator? That would go too far."" She propped up her chin.

""I have to find him and apologize to him. I wronged him."" She closed her eyes.

She sighed and shut down her laptop.

""How will he get another job? He lost this one because of me."" She felt guilt pricking her conscience.

""If only I could find him and make it up to him."" She thinned her lips.

""I have to search for him anyhow and anywhere."" She nodded.

""A private investigator would not be bad because I will definitely not find him like this."" She picked up her phone.

At that instant, her phone rang. It was Evelyn.

She frowned and answered the phone.

          ""Hey."" She said dryly.

""What's up Anna? Are you at home?"" She asked.

""Yeah, I am. What is the matter?"" She asked, a little irritated.

""I just wanted to console you, you know, I know you are in a bad mood, so I just called to check on you as the good friend I am."" There was a hint of pride in her voice.

""Evelyn, you are the cause of everything that happened today, you made me blame the poor guy."" She was obviously displeased.

Evelyn stopped chewing her gum. Anna was sure of that because she had heard the loud smack while she was talking earlier.

""You are blaming me now?"" Evelyn asked.

""Well, yeah, it is your fault."" She said firmly.

""You do not know what you are saying, I am telling you the truth, and you are supporting someone else?"" She asked, disappointment clear in her voice.

""You were the one who caused Mister Hamilton to leave. If you had not said those things to him, he would not have left."" She was beginning to get angry.

""Oh wow, Anna, that is so great, really? I am the one who caused Mister Hamilton to leave?""' She almost yelled.

""You should stop this annoying attitude of yours. You are so rude, Evelyn, that is the reason he left.""

Evelyn nodded, ""Oh. Today is the day I realize you chose a stranger over me. No worries then, bye."" She hung up.

""What the hell are you saying?"" But she was too late, Evelyn had already ended the call.
