Luca's men opened the door to reveal a small, barely lit room with a man strapped to a seat in the corner. The flimsy underpant he wore did nothing to cover his dignity. His face and body was covered in horrible bruises of different colors. Luca walked into the room, taking the seat opposite of the man. He stared at the man with menacing eyes as he spoke in a dark, low voice, "I must say you're really tough but too bad I'm not here for games, I hope you're ready to talk"
The man threw his head back as he laughed hysterically before looking straight into Luca's eyes with defiance crossing his face. " I don't care what you do to me but I'm not saying a fucking word" he shouted in a hoarse voice. He tried to spit on Luca's face but due to the distance between them the saliva landed on the floor. Luca stood up, circling his seat before coming to stand in front of him. "I've heard that line so many times from people like you but do you want to know what's funny?" He asked in a low, dangerous voice. "I always ensure that they crack and you'll be no exception" Luca stepped closer to the shivering man,his footsteps echoing off the concrete walls. " There's a limit of pain one can take, and you're getting to your limit" He studied the man's face, pinning him down with his menacing glare. The man's face paled even though he tried to act like he was unaffected by Luca's words. "Just kill me, fucking do it" He managed to say,his voice cracking slightly. "Don't worry about that, I will" Luca said before signaling for his men. He instructed them on what to do before leaving the room. On his way to his study,he saw Marcus, his best friend and right hand man waiting for him at the entrance. Marcus has been his friend since they were teenagers. Marcus was slightly more muscular than Lucas but he was more calm and one barely knows what goes on in his head. "Were you able to get anything out of him?" Marcus asked, closing the door behind him. "Not yet but soon" Luca replied, rolling his shoulders. "He's persistent on keeping it to himself even if he dies" "I'm sure we will get something from him before that happens " Marcus chuckled, before taking a seat. "So how's the number looking? Better than last week I hope" Luca asked, changing the topic to business talk. His company is a cover for his mafia underground business to get the press from trying to know how he gets his money. Marcus unlocked his phone, scrolling through the record of this week's account as he spoke. "It's better than last week, I can say that but it's not up to this week's expectancy. The profit looks good but they're few new competitors that are trying to gain access into our territory" " Those pesky rats, always trying to ruin someone's mood" Luca muttered, his annoyance evident in his voice. "That's how all business is,some small dogs trying to take on the big dogs but that should be the least of our worries because we have a bigger problem" Marcus replied, putting his phone into his pocket. Marcus stood up from his seat as he spoke. "I think we need to eat, I'm starving. There's this new diner I visited last week. It's a little different from the fancy restaurant you frequent but the food there is killer and the atmosphere is cozy" " And how different is this diner?" Luca asked Marcus, raising an eyebrow. "Chill Luca, it's a 15-minutes drive from here and it's worth it, Daria made me go there saying it's the best and I agree" Marcus said,a sly smile on his face. Daria is Marcus' younger sister. — — — The past few months have been very busy for Alexandra but sometimes she couldn't help but let her mind drift to the strange man she had led to her house two months ago. After that night, she had hoped to come across the man again but she didn't. With the money he had left, she was able to get a cheap phone and sort her bills. Today was an exceptionally slow day at the diner and there weren't many customers today. Alexandra was taking the order of an old couple when the bell of the door jingled indicating that a customer walked in. She looked up to see two men standing in the doorway, their presence getting everyone's attention. Her eyes widened as she recognized one of them as the stranger she took to her house. He walked into the diner in a confident stride, occupying the booth closer to the window. His friend who was more muscular and taller followed behind taking a seat in front of him. They were both dressed in suits that looked like it cost an arm and a leg. She watched as his friend picked the menu looking at it before saying something to him. Alexandra felt jittery and she didn't know why. She was too busy staring at the two men that she didn't remember the elderly couple she was serving. The old lady clicked her fingers in Alexandra's face, getting her attention. "Back to earth, can we get the check now please?" The old man said politely but Alexandra noticed the hint of irritation in his voice. She laughed awkwardly trying to lighten the air and forget that she was staring at them like an idiot. She offered an apologetical smile to the couple before grabbing the checkbook from her apron. "I'm so sorry, hope you enjoyed our service and I'd really appreciate it if you gave me a high rating" She said as she handed them the check. She took a quick glance towards their booth to see him already staring at her. Once the couple were out of the diner, she checked the time and noticed that her shift was almost over. She cleaned the dirty tables and refilled the salt shakers stealing glances at the two men. They were discussing something that looked important, noting the stoic expression on their faces. They made no effort to order anything, like they came here to enjoy the environment. She wanted to tell them that they have to order something if they spend more than five minutes inside the diner but they looked like people that shouldn't be messed with. She continued with serving other customers while also packing her bag. She noticed that they still didn't order anything. She wanted to thank the stranger for the money but decided against it. "I'll take that as a payment for saving his life" She said to herself before turning to go to the back to get her bag but stopped when she heard a voice calling out. "Miss, excuse me." She noticed that she was the only waiter around. She walked over to their booth. The stranger stared at her without a hint of recognition in his eyes. "Maybe he doesn't recognize me," Alexandra thought. The slightly bulkier man picked the menu before placing his order." We'll have the medium steak and fries" She scribbled their order down on her notepad before tucking the pen back into her pocket. "Okay sir, I'll get your order right away" The larger man nodded in response before continuing their conversation. Her thoughts had been drifting to the stranger she helped for the last few months only to discover that he didn't even recognize her. When she returned their order, they turned to her for a split second before continuing their conversation. She set their order down on the table and then the stranger from that night leaned closer to her before whispering in her ears, low enough for only her to hear, "We meet again Alex" She froze for a second as she stared at him in surprise.Alexandra walked into her apartment, turning on the light to illuminate the dark room. She still felt disoriented from the stranger's earlier. She didn't know if she should be happy that he remembered her or scared that he did. She threw her key inside a bowl and proceeded to remove her shoes. She couldn't help but let her mind drift to the strange man. He was a very hard man to forget. Alexandra was not one to swoon over handsome faces but something about this man ignited this spark of attraction in her.The way his hair was combed, the slight scruff on his jaw which added a raw edge to his look and those intense brown eyes that seemed like it was staring right into her soulShe was about to remove the second shoe when something on her table caught her eyes. Walking closer she noticed a tiny wrapped gift and a note on it. "How did this get here?" She muttered under her breath as she picked it up examining the gift. Opening the note, she recognized the familiar handwriting immediately
Luca intentionally arrived late to the family dinner which didn't surprise his father. Luca has always found a way to go against him in one way or another. Ever since he found out that his father cheated on his mother when he was just seven,he vowed to have nothing to do with him and tried not to become like his father. His mother greeted him at the door with a welcoming smile on her lips."Good evening Mom" He greeted placing a soft kiss on her forehead. His father on the other hand didn't even spare him a glance. The tension in the air was so thick that you could cut it with a knife. "Luca baby, I made your favorite," Luca's mom said, trying to ease the awkwardness in the room. She stood up to dish out his food but he stopped her. "Don't worry Mom, I'll do it myself" He could sense his father's gaze on him from time to time but he chose to ignore him. His Mom asked him his work and how it has been but he replied curtly trying to keep his response short. He disliked his Mom's easy
"What did you just say?"Luca said slowly, his face blank with any emotion. "I said what you heard. I had a discussion with Don Marino and we came to an agreement that it will be beneficial to the both of us if you get married to his daughter. Just see this as a chance to strengthen the bond between the two families." Mr Giorgi replied unfazed by the look on Luca's face.Luca stood up abruptly, slamming his fist on the table. "I didn't ask for your help, old man. You can't just fix a marriage and expect me to comply" Mr Giorgi stared at Luca straight in his eyes, his face showing no emotion. He wasn't surprised at Luca's outburst. "I can give you all the time you need to process this information but make sure it doesn't take too long. Don't act selfishly and don't forget it's a family tradition.""Screw you and that damn tradition. I'm the Capo of this organization and I can decide to change the tradition if I please" Mr Giorgi's face turned hot red in anger as he clenched his jaw to
Alexandra handed the knife over to Aurora, her friend, so that she could cut the cake. Aurora has been her friend since they were in high school but as they grew up,they stopped communicating frequently but that didn't stop the bond between them."Happy birthday, Rory," Alexandra said, taking a seat on the plush cushion beside Aurora. "Make a wish and blow out your candles, I want cake" Alexandra laughed out loudly as she watched Aurora blow out the last of her candle. Aurora wiped away the imaginary sweat from her forehead as he released an exaggerated sigh."Is this a plan for you to kill me and eat all my cake?" Aurora said feigning exhaustion. " I almost lost my breath. Did you really have to put that many candles on the cake?"" Yeah duh! It's just 24 candles" Alexandra said, rolling her eyes. " Each for every year you've spent on earth, and I'm pretty sure that it's not that hard to put out a candle." Aurora rolled her eyes at Alexandra's words.Alexandra laughed at Aurora's ex
Luca and Marcus sat in the elevated area of the V.I.P section of the club, looking down at the people partying below. The voluptuous glow of the light casted shadows on their faces as they sipped from their drinks. The music pulsed through their veins as they enjoyed the view. The go-go dancers moved their bodies seductively to the slow rhythm of the music trying to get the attention of the occupant of the V.I.P. The private part of the club has a private show where they're entertained by private dancers.Luca and Marcus watched with an air of detachedness. They have come to the club plenty of times and have seen this multiple times that they have become bored of it. The dancers continued dancing, moving closer but not too close to them.Luca leaned back in his seat, swirling the amber liquid in his glass as he checked his phone.Marcus gestured at one of the dancers to come closer. She had a tall, slender physique which was Marcus's speck in ladies. She had a hungry look in her eyes
Alexandra walked closely behind Aurora as they stepped into the club not wanting to lose sight of her. The interior view overwhelmed her and she almost had a sensory overload from all the things she was feeling at that moment. The music was very loud and the beats thumped hard making her skin vibrate. The dim flashing light casted dark shadows on the faces of the people dancing in the club. This was her first time entering inside a club before. She had always seen one from afar and it had been on her highschool bucket list to go to a club. She felt her inner child squeal from delight that she had finally crossed that off.Micheal excused himself and made his way into the club getting lost in the swarm of people. Aurora held Alexandra's hand as she led her towards the crowd to the bar. "Two glasses of fruity fizz please" Aurora said to the bartender as she settled into her seat. Alexandra looked around enjoying the view around her.Leaning towards Aurora, she said loudly, "I'm glad you
Luca felt his phone vibrate in his pocket indicating a call. He pulled it from his pocket and checked the caller ID, seeing that it's from Marcus, his expression turned serious. Marcus hardly calls unless it's an emergency. "Excuse me, I'll be right back" He said to Alexandra as he walked to a more quiet part of the club."What's wrong?" He said as soon as he answered the call. "We need to head out now, just received word from our spy that Elias sent his men to the club for an ambush" Marcus's tense voice said through the speaker. Before Luca could say a word, a sudden round of gunshots fired into the air causing havoc and chaos in the club. The people in the club ran in different directions trying to protect themselves, shoving over weak people and trampling on them.Luca forced himself through the crowd of panicked people, his eyes focused on looking for Alexandra. He held the butt of his gun in his hand, aiming it to shoot at a rival that was on the top floor. He went upstairs to
TRIGGER WARNING!!!The unrestrained screams of pain echoed in the air disturbing the calmness of the night. The creaking of the crickets were overshadowed by the screams. A man strapped to a chair kept on screaming as the other people in the room pretended like there wasn't a man screaming from pain. A needle was inserted in his neck as a yellowish liquid flowed into his bloodstream. He fought against his restraint trying to get the needle off him. The more the liquid was injected in him,the more pain intensified. His muscles clenched as they were affected by the drug flowing into his system. His body felt like hot lava was being injected into it. His heartbeat increased and decreased as it strained painfully in his ribcage.Luca walked into the room, his eyes taking in the scene before him. Noticing his presence, the men stood on guard, nodding in greetings before they went on to what they were doing.Luca made his way closer to the injured man, Marcus following behind him. He observed
