Alexandra walked into her apartment, turning on the light to illuminate the dark room. She still felt disoriented from the stranger's earlier. She didn't know if she should be happy that he remembered her or scared that he did. She threw her key inside a bowl and proceeded to remove her shoes.
She couldn't help but let her mind drift to the strange man. He was a very hard man to forget. Alexandra was not one to swoon over handsome faces but something about this man ignited this spark of attraction in her. The way his hair was combed, the slight scruff on his jaw which added a raw edge to his look and those intense brown eyes that seemed like it was staring right into her soul She was about to remove the second shoe when something on her table caught her eyes. Walking closer she noticed a tiny wrapped gift and a note on it. "How did this get here?" She muttered under her breath as she picked it up examining the gift. Opening the note, she recognized the familiar handwriting immediately. "You looked beautiful today" She read the words on the note over and over again, already having a clue of who dropped this gift here. Folding the note in her hand, she stepped outside to look for the gate guard. Spotting him in his usual spot, she hurried over to him. When he heard her coming closer,he turned to her before releasing a frustrated sigh. He's been avoiding her since that night and she didn't really care because she had never liked him before. "Good evening sir,umm did you see anyone go into my apartment today?" The guard looked at her wearily before turning back to his phone. "Nah, ain't seen no one" Alexandra could tell that he was being sincere. She looked around hoping to see anyone outside. She left the diner less than thirty minutes ago so that was a short time for him to keep a gift in her apartment. "Were you in your post all through the day!" Alexandra asked, squeezing her hand shut. "Yea I was,is something wrong?," he asked, looking at her in concern.. "No,I…I'm fine" She said before turning back to head back inside her apartment. She was worried that someone could get into her apartment without being seen. Locking the door behind her,she sat on her couch, the note still crumbled in her hand. — — — "Tell him I'm not interested," Luca scowled, leaning back in his chair. Marcus told him that his father fixed a family dinner tomorrow and the whole family is expected to be there. "Unfortunately he didn't give you the option not to come. He said it's an order" Marcus said, his experience blank. "It's just for dinner, what could go wrong?" "That old man never calls for just dinner, he always has something up his sleeves " Luca said with a bored look on his face. Luca sighed, running a hand through his hair as he tried to focus on the current conversation but a particular brown-eyed beauty found its way into his head. "Whatever Marc, I'll go. I just need to rest I'm pretty tired" "Fine, if you say so," Marcus said grudgingly. "And there's something else you should hear, it's about the man in the basement" Luca leaned over interested in what Marcus had to say. "What about him?" "We weren't able to get anything important from him. He bit his tongue and choked on his blood but before he died he mentioned that the main threat is someone very close to you" Luca remained silent for a few second before he spoke, " I need you to double the security camera and make sure that there's no hide spot" "I'll make sure about that, but you have to be really careful. Never trust anyone and mind who you're with" Marcus said giving Luca a long look before he left the study. Luca's thoughts drifted to possible people that were stupid enough to cross him and he thought of his dad but he wasn't like that. Luca's phone rang abruptly, pulling him from his thoughts. Picking the phone up,he answered the call. "I've delivered the package to the lady's apartment just like you instructed" the voice said from the other end of the phone. A smirk made its way on Luca's lips at the man's words. He leaned back on his chair twirling a pen in his free hand. "Good job, Donnie," he replied. "And no one saw you go in or leave her apartment?" " Yes sir,no one did," the man said on the other line. " I want you to watch over her apartment tonight," Luca said before hanging up the call. 2 months ago After Luca made sure that she was fast asleep,he limped to her phone that was on the table, his bullet wound still hurting. Dialing Marcus' number,he placed a call and waited for him to answer the phone. "Marcus," He said in a low voice as soon as Marcus answered. "Check the GPS location on this number and come get me. Bring me a change of clothes" Marcus didn't say anything and just hung up. Luca deleted the number from her phone before something on the table caught his eyes. It was an envelope. Opening it,he noticed that they were bill letters. "Alexandra Smith," he said, reading her name off the letter. He placed the envelope back on the table before making his way to her bedroom. He managed to pick the door lock on her bedroom door quietly without alerting her. He stared at her peaceful face as she slept. From where he stood he could hear her soft breath echoing through the quiet room. "How can you sleep so peacefully with a stranger in your house?" He noticed the way her hair fell over her face like a curtain of silky locks. The dim light of the moon streaming through the window casted a glow on her smooth, unblemished skin. He watched as her chest rose with each breath she took and how the thin fabric of her gown barely concealed the gentle curves of her body. He stared at her watching how vulnerable she looked, his eyes drinking in her face. He hadn't expected her to take him home. He heard a movement outside and looked through the window to see Marcus making his way towards her apartment. He locked the door behind him as he made his way to the living room. — — — For two months, he's been watching her, invading her privacy. He knew it wasn't okay to stalk her but he wasn't one to follow the rules. He had men watching her and reporting how her days went to him. He knew that he shouldn't get close to her to avoid any crazy thoughts from forming in his head and to keep her safe. A sweet girl like Alexandra didn't didn't deserve to be in his world but he was also selfish. "Alexandra, what are you doing to me?"Luca intentionally arrived late to the family dinner which didn't surprise his father. Luca has always found a way to go against him in one way or another. Ever since he found out that his father cheated on his mother when he was just seven,he vowed to have nothing to do with him and tried not to become like his father. His mother greeted him at the door with a welcoming smile on her lips."Good evening Mom" He greeted placing a soft kiss on her forehead. His father on the other hand didn't even spare him a glance. The tension in the air was so thick that you could cut it with a knife. "Luca baby, I made your favorite," Luca's mom said, trying to ease the awkwardness in the room. She stood up to dish out his food but he stopped her. "Don't worry Mom, I'll do it myself" He could sense his father's gaze on him from time to time but he chose to ignore him. His Mom asked him his work and how it has been but he replied curtly trying to keep his response short. He disliked his Mom's easy
"What did you just say?"Luca said slowly, his face blank with any emotion. "I said what you heard. I had a discussion with Don Marino and we came to an agreement that it will be beneficial to the both of us if you get married to his daughter. Just see this as a chance to strengthen the bond between the two families." Mr Giorgi replied unfazed by the look on Luca's face.Luca stood up abruptly, slamming his fist on the table. "I didn't ask for your help, old man. You can't just fix a marriage and expect me to comply" Mr Giorgi stared at Luca straight in his eyes, his face showing no emotion. He wasn't surprised at Luca's outburst. "I can give you all the time you need to process this information but make sure it doesn't take too long. Don't act selfishly and don't forget it's a family tradition.""Screw you and that damn tradition. I'm the Capo of this organization and I can decide to change the tradition if I please" Mr Giorgi's face turned hot red in anger as he clenched his jaw to
Alexandra handed the knife over to Aurora, her friend, so that she could cut the cake. Aurora has been her friend since they were in high school but as they grew up,they stopped communicating frequently but that didn't stop the bond between them."Happy birthday, Rory," Alexandra said, taking a seat on the plush cushion beside Aurora. "Make a wish and blow out your candles, I want cake" Alexandra laughed out loudly as she watched Aurora blow out the last of her candle. Aurora wiped away the imaginary sweat from her forehead as he released an exaggerated sigh."Is this a plan for you to kill me and eat all my cake?" Aurora said feigning exhaustion. " I almost lost my breath. Did you really have to put that many candles on the cake?"" Yeah duh! It's just 24 candles" Alexandra said, rolling her eyes. " Each for every year you've spent on earth, and I'm pretty sure that it's not that hard to put out a candle." Aurora rolled her eyes at Alexandra's words.Alexandra laughed at Aurora's ex
Luca and Marcus sat in the elevated area of the V.I.P section of the club, looking down at the people partying below. The voluptuous glow of the light casted shadows on their faces as they sipped from their drinks. The music pulsed through their veins as they enjoyed the view. The go-go dancers moved their bodies seductively to the slow rhythm of the music trying to get the attention of the occupant of the V.I.P. The private part of the club has a private show where they're entertained by private dancers.Luca and Marcus watched with an air of detachedness. They have come to the club plenty of times and have seen this multiple times that they have become bored of it. The dancers continued dancing, moving closer but not too close to them.Luca leaned back in his seat, swirling the amber liquid in his glass as he checked his phone.Marcus gestured at one of the dancers to come closer. She had a tall, slender physique which was Marcus's speck in ladies. She had a hungry look in her eyes
Alexandra walked closely behind Aurora as they stepped into the club not wanting to lose sight of her. The interior view overwhelmed her and she almost had a sensory overload from all the things she was feeling at that moment. The music was very loud and the beats thumped hard making her skin vibrate. The dim flashing light casted dark shadows on the faces of the people dancing in the club. This was her first time entering inside a club before. She had always seen one from afar and it had been on her highschool bucket list to go to a club. She felt her inner child squeal from delight that she had finally crossed that off.Micheal excused himself and made his way into the club getting lost in the swarm of people. Aurora held Alexandra's hand as she led her towards the crowd to the bar. "Two glasses of fruity fizz please" Aurora said to the bartender as she settled into her seat. Alexandra looked around enjoying the view around her.Leaning towards Aurora, she said loudly, "I'm glad you
Luca felt his phone vibrate in his pocket indicating a call. He pulled it from his pocket and checked the caller ID, seeing that it's from Marcus, his expression turned serious. Marcus hardly calls unless it's an emergency. "Excuse me, I'll be right back" He said to Alexandra as he walked to a more quiet part of the club."What's wrong?" He said as soon as he answered the call. "We need to head out now, just received word from our spy that Elias sent his men to the club for an ambush" Marcus's tense voice said through the speaker. Before Luca could say a word, a sudden round of gunshots fired into the air causing havoc and chaos in the club. The people in the club ran in different directions trying to protect themselves, shoving over weak people and trampling on them.Luca forced himself through the crowd of panicked people, his eyes focused on looking for Alexandra. He held the butt of his gun in his hand, aiming it to shoot at a rival that was on the top floor. He went upstairs to
TRIGGER WARNING!!!The unrestrained screams of pain echoed in the air disturbing the calmness of the night. The creaking of the crickets were overshadowed by the screams. A man strapped to a chair kept on screaming as the other people in the room pretended like there wasn't a man screaming from pain. A needle was inserted in his neck as a yellowish liquid flowed into his bloodstream. He fought against his restraint trying to get the needle off him. The more the liquid was injected in him,the more pain intensified. His muscles clenched as they were affected by the drug flowing into his system. His body felt like hot lava was being injected into it. His heartbeat increased and decreased as it strained painfully in his ribcage.Luca walked into the room, his eyes taking in the scene before him. Noticing his presence, the men stood on guard, nodding in greetings before they went on to what they were doing.Luca made his way closer to the injured man, Marcus following behind him. He observed
The early morning sunlight streaming through the tiny gap from the curtain shone on Alexandra's face, stirring her awake. The deep musky scent on the pillow invaded her nostrils making her snuggle closer into it mummering incoherently in her sleep. She held the pillow closer, inhaling the scent in an unladylike manner. She snapped her eyes open when she heard the soft creak of the door indicating that it was being opened. She stood up quickly making her head feel dizzy. The blanket fell off her body, tangling her leg and making her fall off the bed, landing face flat on the floor. Her skin flushed as a wave of embarrassment washed over her.She let out a meek squeak as her body laid on the floor in an ungraceful manner. She pressed her face on the cold hard surface of the tiled floor trying to calm her aching head. After laying on the floor for a moment, she finally pushed herself up trying to steady herself as she was still in her heels from last night. Her eyes moved to the door to s
