Luca felt his phone vibrate in his pocket indicating a call. He pulled it from his pocket and checked the caller ID, seeing that it's from Marcus, his expression turned serious. Marcus hardly calls unless it's an emergency.
"Excuse me, I'll be right back" He said to Alexandra as he walked to a more quiet part of the club. "What's wrong?" He said as soon as he answered the call. "We need to head out now, just received word from our spy that Elias sent his men to the club for an ambush" Marcus's tense voice said through the speaker. Before Luca could say a word, a sudden round of gunshots fired into the air causing havoc and chaos in the club. The people in the club ran in different directions trying to protect themselves, shoving over weak people and trampling on them. Luca forced himself through the crowd of panicked people, his eyes focused on looking for Alexandra. He held the butt of his gun in his hand, aiming it to shoot at a rival that was on the top floor. He went upstairs to where the dead man was and collected his gun. Checking the man's pulse,he noticed that he was still alive. Making a call to one of his men,he tapped his feet on the ground impatiently. "Come up to the second floor, there is an injured man here. Take him to the base and try to keep him alive." He said into the phone before hanging up not waiting for a response. His hawk-like eyes scanned the club trying to make out Alexandra's figure in the crowd of people. He finally saw her hurdled up under a table with some other people. Relief washed over him as he saw that she was safe. Walking over to where she was,he guided them outside while holding Alexandra's hands in a firm but gentle grasp. "Are you okay?" He asked once they were in the private parking lot. The distant sound of people shouting as they ran reached their ears from there. Alexandra's hand trembled slightly as she tried to calm her racing heart. "What just happened there?" She leaned over a nearby car as she tried to catch her breath and then she remembered Aurora. "Aurora,my friend" She said in a rushed breath. "I think she's still in there, I'm going to go find her" Luca pulled her closer as she tried to run, preventing her from moving. "Stop! You'll get yourself killed. I'll send someone to go look for your friend but it's better to stay safe yourself" Alexandra stared at Luca, her eyes darting from his left eyes to the right. " You don't even know what she looks like, what if she was shot?" She asked, her voice filled with worry. Luca held her forearm pressing her against the car. "I'll find your friend, trust me" He said. "For now you need to take care of yourself first, you must be very tired" "Didn't you advise me that it's stupid to trust strangers?" Alexandra asked, her voice barely above a whisper. She craned her neck to get a look of his face but the limited light made it impossible. Luca released a deep, amused chuckle at her words. Turning his head to the side as though in thought,he said. "But we are not strangers anymore" his expression slowly turned serious before he continued. "yeah, you shouldn't trust me either but I'll not hurt" Something about the way he said it made her slightly relaxed. She knew it was stupid to trust a complete stranger, who she had found with a gunshot wound months ago. Holding her hands firmly in his,he guided her to a car and opened the passenger side door for her. "You must be very tired," he said in a low voice, buckling her seatbelt in place. "Let's get out of here" Luca made his way to the driver's seat and started the car. The loud roar of the engine came to life filling the silent parking lot with its sound. He glanced over at Alexandra from time to time, noticing how she yawned indicating that she was sleeping. Training his eyes on the road he drove far from the club. "You'll have to give me your house a…" he said quietly but stopped when he noticed that she was fast asleep. He observed her sleeping form, his eyes tracing her features. He took a right turn taking a different path. He decided to go to his penthouse. He hasn't brought any women to his penthouse but the thought of leaving Alexandra in a lonely motel here didn't sit well with him. He kept glancing at her as he drove, noticing how her eyelashes casted shadows on her cheeks. Her lipstick was smudged and her head bent to the side in an uncomfortable position. After driving for a few minutes,he finally pulled up in front of a beautiful building. He made his way into the driveway and killed the engine of his car. Opening the car door,he picked up Alexandra sleeping form, holding her gently. He moved carefully to avoid waking her up. It was already pretty late and his staff were already asleep. His penthouse was eerily quiet. His shoes clicked against the marbled floor. He knew that she would freak out when she woke up in the morning but he decided not to worry about it now as he had something to worry about. He carried her into the bedroom, taking light steps as he climbed the stairs. He placed her gently on the center of the bed, tucking her into bed. He watched how peaceful she looked as she slept. Pushing the baby hairs that fell over her face he whispered, "Oh Alexandra, I really need to stop this" Closing the door quietly behind him,he pulled out his phone, placing a call to a number. The phone was immediately answered after the first ring. "We got something" The voice said from the other end of the phone. Luca's expression turned serious as he said. "I'll be there in five," he said before hanging up. Opening a drawer,he pulled out a gun. Making sure that there were bullets in it,he tucked it securely in his belt.TRIGGER WARNING!!!The unrestrained screams of pain echoed in the air disturbing the calmness of the night. The creaking of the crickets were overshadowed by the screams. A man strapped to a chair kept on screaming as the other people in the room pretended like there wasn't a man screaming from pain. A needle was inserted in his neck as a yellowish liquid flowed into his bloodstream. He fought against his restraint trying to get the needle off him. The more the liquid was injected in him,the more pain intensified. His muscles clenched as they were affected by the drug flowing into his system. His body felt like hot lava was being injected into it. His heartbeat increased and decreased as it strained painfully in his ribcage.Luca walked into the room, his eyes taking in the scene before him. Noticing his presence, the men stood on guard, nodding in greetings before they went on to what they were doing.Luca made his way closer to the injured man, Marcus following behind him. He observed
The early morning sunlight streaming through the tiny gap from the curtain shone on Alexandra's face, stirring her awake. The deep musky scent on the pillow invaded her nostrils making her snuggle closer into it mummering incoherently in her sleep. She held the pillow closer, inhaling the scent in an unladylike manner. She snapped her eyes open when she heard the soft creak of the door indicating that it was being opened. She stood up quickly making her head feel dizzy. The blanket fell off her body, tangling her leg and making her fall off the bed, landing face flat on the floor. Her skin flushed as a wave of embarrassment washed over her.She let out a meek squeak as her body laid on the floor in an ungraceful manner. She pressed her face on the cold hard surface of the tiled floor trying to calm her aching head. After laying on the floor for a moment, she finally pushed herself up trying to steady herself as she was still in her heels from last night. Her eyes moved to the door to s
"You have nothing to worry about, your friend is fine" he assured her, watching as her shoulders relaxed at his words. He released a deep chuckle before he added, "Now the table is turned. You're at my house this time" Alexandra raised her head to look at him before saying, " I guess we are even now" She said in a soft voice. " I really think it's time for me to go"" Sure, I understand," Luca replied with a nod. " But we'll have to get you something presentable to wear before heading home. How about we go buy some clothes and then you go"Alexandra immediately shook her head in protest. " That's very generous of you but I…" Luca held up a hand stopping her mid sentence. "I'm not taking no for an answer" He said in a firm tone as he stared at her. "Just a dress, this one you're wearing right now looks like it was made in the late 1800s" Alexandra's face heated up at his words. She knew that the clothes were too big on her but he didn't have to point it out like that. Swallowing the
Alexandra got closer to her apartment with a huge grin playing on her lips. She half skipped and half walked to her apartment, her face bright with excitement. Her smile dropped when she noticed a figure crouched in front of her door.As though noticing her presence, the person looked towards Alexandra's direction, revealing a family face. "Aurora!" Alexandra's voice echoed in the hallway as she saw her friend. She had forgotten the main reason she was worried at first and suddenly she felt like a bad friend for forgetting her friend.Aurora quickly stood up as she rushed towards Alexandra before enveloping her in a very tight hug.Aurora hugged her tightly, not letting go as tears formed in her eyes. "Thank Goodness that you're safe," she breathed out in a shaky voice. "I was so worried when I couldn't find you in the club. I thought… I thought something bad had happened to you."Alexandra patted Aurora's back feeling bad that she had caused her friend so much worry. " I tried to look
Adele's lips pulled up in a wide smile at his words. "I don't care what you call it, it's a date to me," She said in a confident tone, her eyes admiring the beauty before it. "I'm just glad that you thought that it's a good idea for us to bond before we finally get married" Luca signaled for a waiter to get another bottle of wine. When the waiter returned with the bottle and poured a glass for him he finally spoke. " That's why I called you here. You have to tell your father that you're no longer interested in this marriage"Her eyes hardened as she glared at Luca, her face devoid of any emotion as she responded, " I'm not going to do that"Luca's cool gaze was fixed on her face with indifference as he spoke in a steady voice. "You weren't given an option," He said in an unwavering tone." I'm not calling off this marriage Luca, you'll get married to me and that's final" Adele retorted, not shrinking under his intimidating eyes."I really don't want to make a big deal from this so you
Alexandra sat in the very high class restaurant as she waited for Luca. He had sent his driver to pick her up and bring her here. The restaurant was so fancy with a very serene atmosphere. A week ago, Alexandra didn't think that she'd step foot into a fancy restaurant like this today but here she was.She observed the place subtly taking in the magnificent setting. A waiter had asked her what she wanted to eat but she decided to wait for Luca to make the order. The restaurant was empty except for her and the staff. She was glad that no one was around because she was feeling a little self conscious about herself.Hearing footsteps approaching her, Alexandra turned to see Luca walking towards her. His hair was slightly tousled as though he had run his hands through them repeatedly but that didn't do anything to make him less handsome. He smiled as he noticed her looking at him which made her drop her gaze.He sat across from her, "Sorry for keeping you waiting, something…important came
In the dark corner of the driveway, two tall figures hid in the shadows. One of them visibly angry and the other calm as he stared at the enraged man. He clenched his fist as he glared at his friend."What the f**k,Russo?" He said through clenched teeth. "What the f**k was on your mind? What the f**k were you thinking?" Russo remained unfazed, his expression betraying no emotion as he remained silent, taking a huge puff of his cigarette. A punch landed on his face, the cigarettes falling from his lips to the slightly wet floor. He allowed his friend to vent his anger on him.The angry man continued with his attack on Russo, his face twisted into a snarl of anger. "I TOLD YOU TO CHILL THE F**K OUT" he said loudly with each punch. " We needed to keep him off our tail for now and you decide to pull this crazy stunt now"Russo, who had had enough, pushed him away. His nose was bloody from the attack. The huge scar on his face glinted under the dim light as he took a few steps away from hi
"Good night,Mira" Alexandra waved goodbye to her coworker as she made her way towards the path that led to the bus stop. She checked the phone on her phone and saw that it was five minutes past nine. "I need to hurry home before the wicked lady locks me out" She muttered under her breath as she clutched the strap of her bag closer to her shoulder. Alexandra always tried to get home early because her landlady gave a curfew but today, the restaurant had lots of customers making them close late. Alexandra is a twenty-one year old graduate of international relations but due to some circumstances, she works in a little end family diner. She lives alone after her parents cut off ties from her after she refused to marry an old man who they insisted she marry. "Music to calm my nerves down" She said but decided against it as she was in a dangerous neighborhood and it was advisable to be on guard. Alexandra flinched with every sound she heard. A news story came out last year that a you
