Alexandra walked closely behind Aurora as they stepped into the club not wanting to lose sight of her. The interior view overwhelmed her and she almost had a sensory overload from all the things she was feeling at that moment. The music was very loud and the beats thumped hard making her skin vibrate. The dim flashing light casted dark shadows on the faces of the people dancing in the club. This was her first time entering inside a club before. She had always seen one from afar and it had been on her highschool bucket list to go to a club. She felt her inner child squeal from delight that she had finally crossed that off.
Micheal excused himself and made his way into the club getting lost in the swarm of people. Aurora held Alexandra's hand as she led her towards the crowd to the bar. "Two glasses of fruity fizz please" Aurora said to the bartender as she settled into her seat. Alexandra looked around enjoying the view around her. Leaning towards Aurora, she said loudly, "I'm glad you made me come here" "You're welcome, Alex" The dance floor was filled with dancing forms, the pulsator flashing shifting patterns on the dance floor. The thick scent of sweat mixed with alcohol filled the air. Alexandra bopped her head to the bass of the music that thumped through her body like a second heartbeat. "This club is amazing, is this how it is everywhere?" She asked Aurora, raising her voice so that Aurora could hear her over the loud music. The bartender returned later with their drink, two glasses which were slightly filled with a lemon colorful liquid and a slice of lemon on the rim of the glass. "One for me and one for you" Aurora said as she handed over a glass to Alexandra. Alexandra took a sip from her drink and licked her lips in surprise. Her eyes widening slightly from the fizzy tart flavor of the drink on her taste buds. The girls quickly downed their drinks for a little liquid confidence. They ordered another round of drinks but this time they asked for shots instead. After paying for their drink, Aurora led Alexandra onto the dance floor. They managed to find a spot that wasn't too crowded. The people moved their body to the beats of the music in a carefree way. Alexandra loosened up, dancing and laughing as they danced. They shouted and laughed anytime a song they knew came in moving their body in perfect sync. They danced with a few guys who asked for a dance as the night went on. Alexandra was high from excitement as the people around her looked like a blur of color. ——— After their wild dancing session, they both made their way to the bar to catch their breath to avoid passing out. Alexandra leaned her head on the counter to hold herself, the excitement and buzz of the alcohol still in her system. Aurora leaned over and said something in Alexandra's ear which made her burst out in laughter, the sound of her laughter blending with the music. Aurora excused herself for a moment to use the restroom. Alexandra sat by herself waiting for Aurora to return. From where she sat she could see Micheal talking with a guy just a few steps away from her. The bartender approached her holding a drink in hand. "Hey,that man over there ordered this for you" he said with a bored expression on his face as he placed the drink in front of her. Alexandra turned towards the direction that the bartender had pointed, her eyes trying to make out the silhouette of the man but the light was too dim making it difficult to discern his features. She contemplated accepting a drink from someone she didn't know but decided to take a sip while thinking what was the worst that could happen. The sweet taste of the liquid rolled down her throat as she took slow sips. She turned to look at the man when she noticed him coming closer to her. As he got closer the light shone on his face. Alexandra's eyes widened as she saw his face. It was the stranger she had helped in the Alley. "You..." she breathed out, shocked that he was here. Luca took a seat in front of Alexandra,on the one that Aurora was seated on a few minutes ago. He stared at her with a dark expression on his face. "You know, it's dangerous to accept drinks from people you don't know, especially ones that weren't closed," he said in a serious tone before offering her a charming smile to ease the tension. Alexandra felt like a little kid that was being reprimanded. She knew that it was a smart thing to do. "I'm pretty sure no one has the time to drug anyone, everyone seems so happy" Luca shook his head at her words, his gaze fixed inertly on her. " You have no idea. There are plenty of creeps here waiting for an opportunity" he said before taking a sip from his glass. "It's better to be safe than sorry, just like it's not safe to bring a stranger to your house" Alexandra looked at him, defiance shining in her eyes. " I was just being helpful. I couldn't just leave an injured person when I can at least try to help," she said in a blunt voice. Luca stared at her silently with an unreadable expression on his face. "Ummm, thank you for the money from the other day" Alexandra finally said after an awkwardly long silence. "That was a lot of money, more than I make in a month" She continued mentally facepalming herself for saying that last part. "I didn't give you free money, I just paid for your phone which I ruined" he said, raising an eyebrow at her as he found her amusing. ——— Somewhere in the dark crowded club,a figure stood in the dark watching Luca as he talked to Alexandra. The man's sharp eyes watched him intently with a dark expression. "I promise to ruin your life and bring you down, Luca" the man muttered under his breath as he continued to watch Luca. "... even if it's the last thing I do" The man raised his glass to his lips and took a long, deliberate sip, a smile making its way up his lips.Luca felt his phone vibrate in his pocket indicating a call. He pulled it from his pocket and checked the caller ID, seeing that it's from Marcus, his expression turned serious. Marcus hardly calls unless it's an emergency. "Excuse me, I'll be right back" He said to Alexandra as he walked to a more quiet part of the club."What's wrong?" He said as soon as he answered the call. "We need to head out now, just received word from our spy that Elias sent his men to the club for an ambush" Marcus's tense voice said through the speaker. Before Luca could say a word, a sudden round of gunshots fired into the air causing havoc and chaos in the club. The people in the club ran in different directions trying to protect themselves, shoving over weak people and trampling on them.Luca forced himself through the crowd of panicked people, his eyes focused on looking for Alexandra. He held the butt of his gun in his hand, aiming it to shoot at a rival that was on the top floor. He went upstairs to
TRIGGER WARNING!!!The unrestrained screams of pain echoed in the air disturbing the calmness of the night. The creaking of the crickets were overshadowed by the screams. A man strapped to a chair kept on screaming as the other people in the room pretended like there wasn't a man screaming from pain. A needle was inserted in his neck as a yellowish liquid flowed into his bloodstream. He fought against his restraint trying to get the needle off him. The more the liquid was injected in him,the more pain intensified. His muscles clenched as they were affected by the drug flowing into his system. His body felt like hot lava was being injected into it. His heartbeat increased and decreased as it strained painfully in his ribcage.Luca walked into the room, his eyes taking in the scene before him. Noticing his presence, the men stood on guard, nodding in greetings before they went on to what they were doing.Luca made his way closer to the injured man, Marcus following behind him. He observed
The early morning sunlight streaming through the tiny gap from the curtain shone on Alexandra's face, stirring her awake. The deep musky scent on the pillow invaded her nostrils making her snuggle closer into it mummering incoherently in her sleep. She held the pillow closer, inhaling the scent in an unladylike manner. She snapped her eyes open when she heard the soft creak of the door indicating that it was being opened. She stood up quickly making her head feel dizzy. The blanket fell off her body, tangling her leg and making her fall off the bed, landing face flat on the floor. Her skin flushed as a wave of embarrassment washed over her.She let out a meek squeak as her body laid on the floor in an ungraceful manner. She pressed her face on the cold hard surface of the tiled floor trying to calm her aching head. After laying on the floor for a moment, she finally pushed herself up trying to steady herself as she was still in her heels from last night. Her eyes moved to the door to s
"You have nothing to worry about, your friend is fine" he assured her, watching as her shoulders relaxed at his words. He released a deep chuckle before he added, "Now the table is turned. You're at my house this time" Alexandra raised her head to look at him before saying, " I guess we are even now" She said in a soft voice. " I really think it's time for me to go"" Sure, I understand," Luca replied with a nod. " But we'll have to get you something presentable to wear before heading home. How about we go buy some clothes and then you go"Alexandra immediately shook her head in protest. " That's very generous of you but I…" Luca held up a hand stopping her mid sentence. "I'm not taking no for an answer" He said in a firm tone as he stared at her. "Just a dress, this one you're wearing right now looks like it was made in the late 1800s" Alexandra's face heated up at his words. She knew that the clothes were too big on her but he didn't have to point it out like that. Swallowing the
Alexandra got closer to her apartment with a huge grin playing on her lips. She half skipped and half walked to her apartment, her face bright with excitement. Her smile dropped when she noticed a figure crouched in front of her door.As though noticing her presence, the person looked towards Alexandra's direction, revealing a family face. "Aurora!" Alexandra's voice echoed in the hallway as she saw her friend. She had forgotten the main reason she was worried at first and suddenly she felt like a bad friend for forgetting her friend.Aurora quickly stood up as she rushed towards Alexandra before enveloping her in a very tight hug.Aurora hugged her tightly, not letting go as tears formed in her eyes. "Thank Goodness that you're safe," she breathed out in a shaky voice. "I was so worried when I couldn't find you in the club. I thought… I thought something bad had happened to you."Alexandra patted Aurora's back feeling bad that she had caused her friend so much worry. " I tried to look
Adele's lips pulled up in a wide smile at his words. "I don't care what you call it, it's a date to me," She said in a confident tone, her eyes admiring the beauty before it. "I'm just glad that you thought that it's a good idea for us to bond before we finally get married" Luca signaled for a waiter to get another bottle of wine. When the waiter returned with the bottle and poured a glass for him he finally spoke. " That's why I called you here. You have to tell your father that you're no longer interested in this marriage"Her eyes hardened as she glared at Luca, her face devoid of any emotion as she responded, " I'm not going to do that"Luca's cool gaze was fixed on her face with indifference as he spoke in a steady voice. "You weren't given an option," He said in an unwavering tone." I'm not calling off this marriage Luca, you'll get married to me and that's final" Adele retorted, not shrinking under his intimidating eyes."I really don't want to make a big deal from this so you
Alexandra sat in the very high class restaurant as she waited for Luca. He had sent his driver to pick her up and bring her here. The restaurant was so fancy with a very serene atmosphere. A week ago, Alexandra didn't think that she'd step foot into a fancy restaurant like this today but here she was.She observed the place subtly taking in the magnificent setting. A waiter had asked her what she wanted to eat but she decided to wait for Luca to make the order. The restaurant was empty except for her and the staff. She was glad that no one was around because she was feeling a little self conscious about herself.Hearing footsteps approaching her, Alexandra turned to see Luca walking towards her. His hair was slightly tousled as though he had run his hands through them repeatedly but that didn't do anything to make him less handsome. He smiled as he noticed her looking at him which made her drop her gaze.He sat across from her, "Sorry for keeping you waiting, something…important came
In the dark corner of the driveway, two tall figures hid in the shadows. One of them visibly angry and the other calm as he stared at the enraged man. He clenched his fist as he glared at his friend."What the f**k,Russo?" He said through clenched teeth. "What the f**k was on your mind? What the f**k were you thinking?" Russo remained unfazed, his expression betraying no emotion as he remained silent, taking a huge puff of his cigarette. A punch landed on his face, the cigarettes falling from his lips to the slightly wet floor. He allowed his friend to vent his anger on him.The angry man continued with his attack on Russo, his face twisted into a snarl of anger. "I TOLD YOU TO CHILL THE F**K OUT" he said loudly with each punch. " We needed to keep him off our tail for now and you decide to pull this crazy stunt now"Russo, who had had enough, pushed him away. His nose was bloody from the attack. The huge scar on his face glinted under the dim light as he took a few steps away from hi
