Logan’s POV

“What is it?” Freya asks, peering over my shoulder as I stand in front of the shelves.

“It’s nothing.” I don’t touch it. I am confused though. I hadn’t worn it in ages and I definitely did not leave it here.

“Well it’s gotta be something, or do I need to send for help because you have lost the plot?” She let’s a little laugh, stopping the moment I look at her.

“You’re part witch. Can you sense anything?”

“Around that?” She points to the bracelet and looks closer to it, suddenly pushing me back. “Don’t touch it.”

“What the hell are you talking about, Freya?”

“Don’t touch it.” She glances around the room and picks up one of my father’s ties that still sat on display. She carefully drapes the tie over it, covering the bracelet entirely, carful to avoid it with her own bare fingers.

“Are you going to tell me what you are doing?”

“It’s a talisman, Alpha. Not a good one either.” She turns around to look at me, her blue eyes wide. “You have been wearing this?”
