Logan’s POV

Blake makes his excuses fairly quickly and disappears. From the window, I watched him go back into the trees, in the exact spot he had appeared..Something was off with him, I watched the colour drain from his face before he took off. If anyone had linked him, he hid it well.

“I told you that you shouldn’t trust him.” Freya leans against the office door, her arms folded across her chest.

“You’re right. I think I need to stop trusting anyone.”

“Are you talking about me?”

“It seems like everyone is keeping secrets from me.”

She stares at me with her bright blue eyes. “I have told you everything that I know. If you need to, just look. I haven’t got anything to hide anymore.”

I eye her up, people didn’t normally offer such a thing. I had always done it by force except for one. I had never been able to get into Blake’s mind. Not even as a child. I was pretty sure it was to do with this death thing that surrounds him.
