Sophia's POV

The continuous ringing of my phone had woken me up. The thought that the caller might be Alexios had me awake almost immediately.

"Hi." I hated how disappointed my voice had sounded.

"Hey... How are you doing? I called twice earlier but your mom said you were sleeping." Skylar sounded concerned and worried which only made me feel even worse.l for being disappointed that she was my caller.

"Yeah. I was stressed so I slept it off." I hadn't realized how long I had slept for not until I looked at my phone. How on Earth was I able to sleep for four long hours?!

"As long as you are okay." Skylar said, the worry in her voice reducing.

"I am okay I promise. So what about you? How are you doing?" I have to be the worst friend in existence. I had totally forgotten to check in on Skylar, all I had in mind all day was Alexios.
