Sophia's POV

It was already 9 PM and mom had done her rounds with locking up. Since dad traveled, we would always make sure we locked the doors early to avoid any intruder from coming in, but since we were mostly in all day, mom still felt the need to reconfirm that all the doors have been locked.

While we sat in the living room watching a series together, we heard a knock.

"Who could be at the door at this hour?" Mom asked and I shrugged. I wasn't expecting anyone to visit. It can't be him right? It is late already...

"Could it be him?" I asked, and I got my response when we heard his voice.

"It is me, Alexios. Please open the door." His voice had me sprinting toward the door as I pulled it open to let him inside.

"Hey baby." He whispered as he looked at me smiling. I hugged him, I felt like he needed a hug. Although he was smiling, he looked unhappy, sad.

"I am glad to see you alright Alex. I am going to give you kids some privacy but don't go making kids in my absence." Said mom w
