Sophia's POV

"So?" Although Alexios asked, I felt like he already knew the answer. The small smile playing on his lips, and the mischievousness of his gaze made me curious.

"Did you hear I and mom's talk?" I asked him. The possibility of him learning us is low, I had left him in the living room and moreover, when I went into mom's room, I had shut the door after myself.

"Why? Was I meant to hear something?" He is lying.

Alexios is an awful liar. When he lies, he avoids eye contact, he would always looks anywhere else but at me, at my eyes, and he tends to stammer a little when he lies.

I decided to ignore it, as calling him out on his lie would only further embarrass me since I know he was eavesdropping on our embarrassing conversation. 'Mom really needs to stop.' I thought to myself as I bit my lips.

Pushing the embarrassment to the back of my mind, I went forward and held his hand as we both walked to my room.

"I doubt I have a suitable pajamas here that you can use." I spoke as
