Fiona’s POV

I turned on the bed, closing my eyes halfway just to be certain that I didn’t imagine all that happened yesterday. A short laugh rumbled in my throat. This is really happening. I have finally gotten my freedom after what felt like forever. Even though a lot of things had gone underwater for this to finally present itself. I don’t mind being selfish this one time.

Inhaling deeply, I curled further into the bed wishing I could get swallowed up by it. The material used in making the bed is definitely nothing short of luxury. My bed back at home wasn’t even as half as good as the one I slept in during my hiding days. Many servants have attended to my needs without me calling for them. For a brief moment, I felt like royalty.

If only this would continue for long. It's just a short time, but I will make sure to enjoy it to the fullest.

“You do know now that you can no longer escape and it is expected of you to keep your side of the promise.” Rin reminded me.

I gulped hard at

Ronan’s POV“This is wrong!” I kept repeating to myself as I hastened my steps towards the study. Dion seems to be having a good time watching me feel miserable. What was I thinking staring down at Fiona’s lips and hoping I could get a kiss? My heart raced so fast that I feared it would jump out of its cage. Memories of the moments we shared back in Abian village flooded my sight. For a brief moment, I wanted to feel that again. She looks so beautiful. Her face keeps glowing and calling out for me to caress and kiss. I can’t help but imagine how it would feel to have my dick inside of her while staring down at her growing belly. My dick tingled and leaped at the same time. I stared down at the bulge feeling ashamed of myself. I opened the study door quickly, mumbling a thank you to the goddess for helping me reach here without being noticed. Closing my eyes, I steadied my breath. This constant desire for Fiona would land me into unwanted trouble. I thought I had been able to get ov

Ronan’s POV Timon’s announcement sounded like a strange gong in my ear. How can she be dead? There is no way she died within these past few weeks. Elder Callum said she was fine and only wanted to be away for a while. What happened? The questions kept reeling in my head and for a moment it got me dizzy. “Your majesty?” Timon tapped on the table to bring me back to the present. I held his gaze with my tear-filled eyes. Knowing the waterworks might begin. I stumbled out of the study heading for the woods. My wolf wanted to break free. I want to run so hard until my lungs feel twisted and my hindlegs give way to the ground. How is this even possible? My aunt can’t be dead. The only person who treats me like her own can’t be gone like that. Dion felt my pain and took it all in. Converting it into strength to push through the soil. I could hear Timon coming after me in the distance, but that didn’t stop me. I kept running until I hit a big stone that threw me smack into a tree bark. I

Author’s POVElder Dante shifted in his chair, holding Callum’s gaze. He has been seated for about an hour entertaining the absence surrounding them. But he was determined to not leave until his grievances had been let out. “Callum, why are you so quiet?” Dante asked. Callum sniffed, sitting up. “What do you want me to say, Dante?” “Anything. Your nephew came out of the blue to announce the coming of his heir and you are unbothered about it. I expected you to call Elder James and me to talk about what to do next. Since he became the Alpha King we have been tuned into less importance. He does whatever pleases him without seeking our permission.” He remained quiet not saying anything. Having to express himself to a few of the elders he considers as accomplices can be dangerous for his ambition. Even though Callum knows they would give their head to him as long as he scratches their back. He has never been one to list out his plans recklessly. “Dante, you know this is a risky discus

  • His Destined Luna   Chapter 85

Author’s POVCallum cleared his throat at the awkwardness. Ronan caught a clue and released the older man. He had been overwhelmed by the emotion that came with the death of Celine at the sight of his uncle. “I am sorry. Didn’t know what came over me.” Ronan mumbled. “Is everything okay? Why are you acting so emotional all of a sudden?” Callum inquired. Ronan’s wolf reminded him of the possibility of Callum being the culprit. He suddenly tucked his emotions away and furrowed his brows. “What is going on, uncle?” “What do you mean?” “I am going to go straight to the point. Before Aunt Celine went away she had come to me to talk about your maltreatment of her. And as heavy as this is on my mind, I have no other choice but to make the announcement. Aunt Celine is dead.” He stayed frozen on the spot not knowing what to say. That was the last thing he expected Ronan to say to him. His thoughts ran aimlessly before he eventually picked one out of it in response. “I…is this some sort o

  • His Destined Luna   Chapter 86

Ronan’s POV I stared intently at the letters opened on the table comparing each line to see if there might be any kind of mistake there. But everything appears the same and nothing is amiss. Aunt Celine no doubt wrote the letters. I am surprised she didn’t write to me after the first one I got. If truly Elder Callum knows nothing about her being missing and now I have to provide a response to the help I had rendered without permission. I held both of my head in my palm groaning in despair. I had spent last night going through the letters over and over again until I slept off. And now I am here again this morning to see if I missed anything last night. I had a terrible nightmare last night. Aunt Celine was running after me in her wolf form accusing me of leading her to her death. As powerful as my wolf was, I couldn’t shift in the dream or do anything to defend myself. It felt like I had a huge weight on my shoulder that prevented me from moving right. I struggled and was almost pou

  • His Destined Luna   Chapter 87

Ronan’s POVI didn’t have the slightest idea about what Timon was up to. But he seemed to have been able to find the bodies of the guards. The door opened abruptly and two dead bodies in the familiar guard uniform came into view Everyone gasped and covered their noses as they were pushed in. I felt pity and guilty at the same time. If I knew these poor men would meet their end on such a small errand, I wouldn’t have let them go. The families they bid goodbye to would never get to see them again and that is my fault. “What is the meaning of this?” Elder Callum asked. Timon looked towards me for permission to speak. I gave him a nod to go ahead. He cleared his throat and stood up. “Since you all are hellbent on accusing the Alpha King of something he knows nothing about. I will take my time to explain things to you.” He stayed quiet and switched to mind-linking me. “Should I mention the things your aunt said?” “No,” I replied keeping a stern look. “You are wasting our time. Are y

  • His Destined Luna   Chapter 88

Fiona’s POVI inhaled the smell of fruits and flowers in the air and it calmed my nerves. I can’t remember the last time I got to see a place beyond the corners of the room I was put in in broad daylight. I rubbed at my belly in delight. My baby seems just as relaxed as I am. The doctor wouldn’t need to give me any instructions. Because a dose of all this a day would have me feeling healthy like never before. I am beginning to think the royals were just worried over nothing. Ever since it has been announced that they have a child bearer, nobody seems interested in me. My wing is only filled with needed maids and guards. And when I walk past they just bow briefly and go about their businesses. It's not like I want any attention in the first place. I just want to move freely. “Here you go, my lady. You must be thirsty.” Isla said with a grin as she poured me a cold lemonade from the tray she just brought with her. “Thank you,” I mumbled taking a long sip. “This tastes so good.”She s

  • His Destined Luna   Chapter 89

Author’s POVCallum yelled as he kept hitting his men with the plank in his hand while they dug the ground. He couldn’t get the conversation at the meeting out of his head. It made him so mad that all he could think of was committing another murder. Maybe he had gone too far in confronting Ronan. He just didn’t want to appear too relaxed and raise suspicions. “Be fast with it. How long will it take you to dig up a land?” He bickered at them as he gave Celine's stiff body a dry look. She has always brought him nothing but trouble. “Make sure she is reduced to nothing and buried properly or I will have every one of you skewered to taste.” He threatened to storm back into the house. The intention is to make the body disappear by pouring acid to get rid of any flesh and have her buried. Burning her now would pollute the air and many people will smell her. He can’t risk that. It would be best for him to quickly resolve the situation of her death and prevent Ronan from investigating furth

Ronan’s POVLouis let out his loud childish laugh as I tickled his side. It feels so good to finally get the chance to play with my child. We have gotten closer as it should be. He has stuffed himself with every sweet chewables the party has to offer. I have a feeling Isla would have a hard time putting him to bed.“So sorry, Your Highness. I will take him now.” Isla pleaded.“It is alright, Isla. Thank you. Where is my wife?”“She is getting changed.”“Alright, thank you.”After the usual open ceremony that involved every member of the Nestorian kingdom, Fiona was crowned as the Luna Queen. We returned to the palace to celebrate with a ball, ushering in anyone who desired to attend. Fiona made the most beautiful bride I have ever seen in her wedding dress. I wish we didn’t have to be so engaged in honoring our guests and just have her to myself.“Wow, he is, the man of the hour.” Timon teased sitting next to me.“I have been looking around for you. Where have you been?” I questioned.

  • His Destined Luna   Chapter 179

Fiona’s POVI glanced discreetly at Ronan and smiled to myself. He looks much better than he was a month ago. When Lord Timon arrived with a carriage saying we were returning to the palace, I thought it was a joke. I had almost given up on the thought that we would ever get to return since Ronan never seemed to have an answer. When we arrived there was a lot of acknowledgment from the very people who didn’t care to see me. I never knew Ronan’s uncle and didn’t think too highly of him after hearing about all that he did. What I didn’t expect was the situation of Freya. It was okay when she plotted to have me dead, but shocking at her intention to kill Ronan. You never know what people are capable of. Dawn didn’t appear too concerned about the death of her father, but she finally got the chance to mourn her mother properly.I felt sorry for Dawn and Ronan, even though my experience wasn’t as epic as theirs. I do know what it feels like to have the ones you trust to play on your heart an

  • His Destined Luna   Chapter 178

Ronan’s POVMy entire world felt like a lie. I still can’t get over everything that Elder Callum expressed. To think I felt guilty for ever suspecting him. All the while I had sleepless nights and battled for my life, he was plotting against me.“Why don’t you go back to the palace, Your Majesty, and let me sort this out,” Timon said.I shook my head feeling a nasty ache making its way to my head. “No, please, I want to see for myself.” I insisted. We were headed for Elder Callum’s house to search properly this time. Even though I still can’t get over the shock of all that he said and his death, I want to get a glimpse of everything. The house was agog when we arrived. All of the maids and guards looked on in fear as Timon and his men searched every room in the house. The remains of Aunt Celine were the first thing that was found. Callum had it wrapped up in a bag and put it into the room she had slept in when she was alive. It was obvious that it was her from the burnt remains of her

  • His Destined Luna   Chapter 177

Author’s POVThere was an eerie feeling in the air as Ronan moved through the woods stealthily. He could sense some presence behind the thick bushes, and even though whoever it was did try to hide its scent, he caught a whiff of it and it almost seemed familiar. He should have listened to Timon who advised that he took a carriage to meet with his family. But something told him to go his usual route. He halted his steps to listen to be sure he heard right. All of sudden a big wolf matching his frame jumped at him from nowhere sinking his teeth into Ronan’s upper body, but he missed and only got to tear out a bit of his fur. Before he could get a grip on the situation, the attacker pushed him to the ground aiming for his neck vein. Ronan fought hard and gave the wolf a wild kick that sent him reeling backward.Ronan hurried to his feet, gnashing his teeth at his attacker. Just then the attacker shifted into their form leaving Ronan in shock. Callum turned out to be the one behind the wo

  • His Destined Luna   Chapter 176

Ronan’s POVSomeone banged recklessly on the door waking me up roughly from my sleep. I have barely gotten an hour of sleep in. My mind has been laced heavily with thoughts that had prevented me from sleeping at the due time. Groaning, I sat up with my back bent. It's actually morning, how long was I asleep?Timon made his way in, bowing slightly towards me. “Your majesty,”“Really? Why would you hit on the door like that?” I questioned.“It was not my doing. Ava was at the door.”“Has she lost her mind? Where are the guards when you need them to do their jobs? Why wake me up so early in the morning?”“It's not exactly morning your majesty. It is way past noon. Are you alright? You don’t look well rested.”I rubbed my forehead, staring intently at the wall. “Something is coming, Timon. But I do not know what it is and my heart is burdened. I couldn’t get any sleep because of it. If anything goes wrong please protect my family.”He sighed. “Don’t be like that, we will resolve whatever

Ronan’s POV“Where is that bastard?” Levi yelled as he stormed my study.Three guards stood behind him ready to strike at my order. They must have restrained themselves since he is my in-law. I nodded towards them to excuse us. Timon gave me a questioning nod.“What is all this about Levi?” I inquired.“Oh, really? So you do not know what all this is about? Where is my sister, Ronan? Did you have your child bearer skin her alive? So what if she tried to kill her? Isn’t she an intruder in the first place? You should be ashamed of yourself for picking a mere stranger over your mate.” He ranted.I exchanged a confused look with Timon before looking back at the fuming man. “What you are saying now is that you do not see any wrong in what your sister did?”“Yes, and for what it is worth, you are to blame. If you didn’t turn away from her and make her feel unneeded she wouldn’t have gone that far. But what excuse do you have now that she is carrying your child and your child bearer is very

  • His Destined Luna   Chapter 174

Author’s POV“Freya?” Callum called out. No response came. He rubbed at his neck in discomfort and moved closer. She was unmoving and blood appeared to be flowing from her head to the ground. He gulped hard and felt her pulse. Callum cursed under his breath at the eventuality of his action. Not only had her breath seized, she couldn’t be revived. Freya was dead. Covering his eyes with both hands, he groaned like a wounded lion. This wasn’t supposed to end like that. The only death he intends to have on his hands next is Ronan’s.His breath hitched at every passing second. Rising to his feet, he took in a deep breath to calm himself. There is no need to start hyperventilating when the deed has already been done. First, he has to get her cleaned up and find a way to dispose of her body, but then it will take a lot of work. If anyone gets to know that the queen is missing, it won’t take long for her to be traced down to him.Callum searched around for anything that would do to stuff her

  • His Destined Luna   Chapter 173

Author’s POVFreya gasped for breath like she had been hit in the chest. Nothing prepared her for the murderous look in his eyes. She could sense the irritation in his expression. Her legs wobbled and her lips quivered. Ronan was supposed to be obsessed with her now that she was pregnant. He is meant to cherish her like no other. Instead, he appears to be disgusted by her.She pulled at her hair with shaky hands. A muffled scream escaped her lips, she tried hard to let it all out but nothing came. The tears rolled down her face, almost blinding her. Freya sat still just staring blankly into space. It is as if every time she tries to give Ronan a chance to amend his ways, he walks onto the destructive path.Regret creeps in as she thinks of Callum. He had been the only one who came to her rescue and assured her of a secure future. Instead of making sure their relationship is sealed and they have themselves to count on. She plotted his death. All because of Ronan. The more she thought a

Ronan’s POV“You didn’t find anything?” I asked Timon for the umpteenth time like my ears had gone deaf.He bowed his head, “I am sorry, Your Majesty. I must have gotten the wrong information.”Ruffling my hair, I sank onto the couch feeling an unexplained exhaustion. I had eventually hurried back to the palace in the hope that Timon would catch onto something. Even though we do have a missing knife to prove that my uncle had something to do with his friend's death, it is not enough to accuse him of killing his wife.Even though it doesn’t sound right, I am beginning to hope he might have a link to the enemy tormenting me. It probably was Elder James. What if my uncle was trying to defend me? Won’t it be wrong of me to be so hard on a person who is more like my parent?Timon dragged a foot on the ground. “Please say something.”I held his gaze, shrugging. “I really wish I could say something to you, but I do not know what to say. I must admit that I was eager to hear the outcome of yo
