Running Away

Thea gritted her teeth as she leaned back trying to paste on the smile on her face as soon as she heard Lucian’s voice. Although she prepared herself for this moment over the past few days she spent hours rehashing this moment in her mind.

Nothing prepared her to hear Lucian’s voice as he called her name. As she felt her whole body tremble as she readied herself to turn around and resume her acting, as she had been doing throughout her stay in this forsaken place.

As Thea smiled, she turned around to look at him only to almost lose her composure as she looked at him. The face she saw before her was one filled with uncertainty and worry, one she used to think held so many honest emotions toward her that she thought she was going to burst from the excess of it.
