Unexpected Meeting

"How is Clara?" Alpha Daniel asked Sierra, who was playing with her cell phone while eating snacks in the backyard.

Sierra turned her head, "I went to her room earlier and saw that she was still sleeping. I just got back from the pack house too."

Alpha Daniel nodded and then placed an invitation on the table next to Sierra.

"An invitation from the Silverhide Alliance?" said Sierra, who opened the cream-coloured envelope with a rose-gold floral design.

Sierra continued to read and it was an invitation to the councils of all the packs in the Silverhide Alliance. The leader of the Alliance, Alpha King Raymond, wanted to celebrate his daughter's wedding.

"You're coming with me again, Sierra. Actually, I was reluctant to go because I was lazy with the Alpha's questions, asking me to have Luna soon. However, it would be rude to refuse the invitation," Daniel grumbled in front of his sister.

Sierra nodded thoughtfully and had an idea.

"Hmm, how about you go with Clara. It would be fun and let her think you've found your mate," Sierra said enthusiastically.

Daniel paused while he considered his sister's suggestion, then looked at Clara's door and smiled.

The door to Clara's room suddenly opened, and she was awake. Daniel and Sierra were surprised at the same time. Clara squirmed and yawned and came out of her room.

"Hm... Why are you looking at me like that? Is there something wrong with me?" Clara asked. She then closed the door to her room and approached Daniel and Sierra.

Sierra grinned and replied, "We're just surprised. By the way, Clara, you're going with Alpha Daniel to the Silverhide Alliance event tonight?"

"What's the occasion? Why me and not you?" Clara asked with a furrowed brow.

Alpha Daniel looked at Sierra with round eyes as if he wanted his sister to answer Clara's question.

"I have to work for the Cubs tomorrow, can you cover for me?" Sierra pleaded with cupped hands and a pitiful look on her face.

Clara smiled, "Hmm okay. But I've never been to an Alliance event before because the Moonlight Pack hasn't joined an Alliance, so I have no experience and__" Clara continued, holding the hem of her shirt.

Sierra nodded and replied, "You don't have to worry about clothes. I'll prepare it for you.

Clara nodded again and agreed to Sierra's request. Alpha Daniel was made happy by Clara's ability and the man felt his heart blossom at the thought that he could be alone with Clara again that night.

In the evening, Alpha Daniel and Clara prepared to go to the Silverhide Mansion.

Alpha Daniel was fascinated by Clara's unusual appearance. She was wearing a shiny red satin sundress and Sierra's diamond necklace. Her hair was down, and she looked very elegant.

"Perfect!" said Alpha Daniel.

Clara looked embarrassed and smiled at Daniel's words.

"Let's go, you'll be late! Enjoy the evening romantically," Sierra said as she winked at Daniel, who responded by putting a slight pinch on Sierra's waist.

Clara just laughed at the sibling' behaviour. They finally left and drove for about forty-five minutes.

They arrived at the Silverhide Mansion. Clara was amazed at the luxurious building in front of her. This was Clara's first time attending an Alliance event.

Several pairs of eyes began to notice the arrival of Alpha Daniel, who was walking hand in with Clara, even though Clara looked a little awkward.

It wasn't long before Alpha King Raymond took a microphone and stood beside his daughter with her husband.

"Thank you to all of you Alphas and also to the council of each pack that is a member of the Silverhide Alliance. I hope you enjoy this celebration party of my daughter's marriage and pray that they will be faithful to each other until death do us part," Alpha King Raymond explained.

Everyone applauded the Silverhide Alliance Alpha King's speech.

"He's so handsome and dashing. I just saw him!" Clara whispered to Daniel amidst the glittering party lights.

Daniel smiled in response, "Don't I look like him?" the man continued with a chuckle.

"I admit... a bit!" replied Clara, holding back her laughter and shaking her head.

Then Alpha King Raymond spoke again.

"I also have some important news for you tonight. I have just received a new member for the Silverhide Alliance, so I hope you can accept and adapt to Alpha Robin of the Moonlight Pack. The pack is now part of our alliance and let us welcome Alpha Robin with a big round of applause," Alpha King Raymond roared.

"What?" said Clara.

Clara and Alpha Daniel were in shock. They looked at each other.

"We have to get out of here right now, don't let that man know you're here!" Daniel told Clara with a panicked expression.

She nodded, but he said again, "You don't have to leave here, you follow this event to the end. Alpha Robin won't recognize you, let me go home," Clara said.

"Are you sure?" asked Daniel.

Clara nodded again with a convincing look. Daniel agreed and watched Clara's departure from a distance.

Clara knew Alpha Robin was coming with Susan, her new chosen mate, and also the Council members.

"I have to hurry, because I'm sure someone from the Moonlight Pack will recognize me besides Alpha Robin," Clara muttered.

Sure enough, she saw a scout and a guard talking at the mansion's exit. Not knowing why they were there, Clara panicked a little because, of course, these two people would recognize her.

She saw the hallway leading to the toilets and hoped there was another way out. Without wasting any time, she quickly turned around and went there.

Clara sighed as she managed to avoid the Moonlight Pack members. Then she checked her phone and found a message from Alpha Daniel.

Alpha Daniel: [Are you in the car already? Just take the car home. Beta George will pick me up later.]

Clara: [Okay, I'm walking safely to the car. I took a little detour to look for another exit because there were scouts and guards from the Moonlight Pack who must have recognized me.]

Alpha Daniel: [Alright, be careful! If anything happens, contact me immediately.]

Clara: [Okay, take it easy.]

After Clara had answered Daniel's message, she rushed to the car park.

She was in such a hurry, Clara unknowingly bumped into the car door as it opened.

"Aw!" Clara shouted, immediately falling.

"Oh my goddes, are you okay, miss?" said a man who got out of the car Clara had hit in a panic.

Clara held her forehead, which had been hit by the car door, "Okay, it's okay, it's my fault for rushing!" she replied.

"Let me help you up!" the man said, lifting Clara's body.

Clara smiled at the man, "Thanks, I have to go!"

"Okay, be more careful next time," the man said to Clara, and Clara nodded as she immediately walked to her car, which wasn't far from the man's position.

Clara started the car and drove away, although she looked back at the man and smiled again.

"You know her, Beta Drake? I just saw her at our Alliance event," the man, an Alpha, asked the Beta accompanying him.

"Looks like she's a first-timer to the event, or maybe she's a Luna from the pack who, according to new information will be joining the Silverhide Alliance tonight," Beta Drake replied.

The man nodded, but suddenly he clutched his chest as he felt his heart pounding. For some reason, the man kept staring in the direction Clara had gone earlier.

"Why do I feel strange when I see this woman, it feels familiar and like there is a strong bond. Who is she?" the man muttered to himself.

The man immediately broke out of his reverie and entered the mansion. The party was also lively with various entertainment and dancing.

Unfortunately, Alpha Daniel enjoyed the party without Clara. Some of the Alphas from other packs also asked why Clara left and even mocked Daniel, even though they thought it was just a joke.

"She hasn't even been introduced to us yet, she just left. Poor you, Alpha Daniel!" an Alpha from another pack taunted Daniel.

Daniel just sighed resignedly. He didn't care about the talk because the most important thing was that Clara didn't meet the person who had hurt her again.

The man who had passed Clara in the parking lot was about to approach Alpha King Raymond to greet the Alliance leader. Suddenly, someone recognized him and called out to him,

"Alpha Edward, is that you?" Alpha Robin exclaimed loudly over the loud music to the man who had met Clara earlier.

"Alpha Robin, hello my old friend! It turns out that your pack is the new member that joined," said Alpha Edward, who then hugged Alpha Robin.
