A Miracle

The next day, Sierra knocked on Clara's bedroom door.

"Clara, it's time for breakfast! I made your favorite sandwich." Sierra said as she opened the door.

Her mouth fell open when she saw Clara crying.

"Are you okay?" Sierra asked.

Clara wiped the tears from her cheeks and turned to Sierra, trying to smile.

"I'm fine, just trying to adjust to my current state," Clara said.

Sierra knew she was lying and rushed over to hug Clara. Then she saw a blue diamond-stone ring that Clara was holding.

"This must have been Alpha Robin's gift." Sierra guessed.

Clara sighed and replied, "Yeah, right. It was a wedding present from him and I was going to throw it away."

"Why?" Sierra asked briefly.

Clara smiled and rubbed the ring, "If you want, take it. I need to get rid of his memories so I can move on quickly!"

Sierra nodded, understanding Clara's words. She supported her best friend's decision because it could hinder Clara's better life in the future.

Then Sierra gave some advice, "There's no need to throw it away. It will be valuable someday, so let me keep it. If you need it, you can take it back."

Clara pursed her lips while rolling her eyes, "Okay, whatever take it!"

Then, the two of them immediately went to the dining table for breakfast, where Alpha Daniel was already waiting.

The man was silent and concentrated on looking at Clara. He felt that the woman looked even more charming. It had been a long time since they had seen each other. Clara had decided to leave the Dark Moon Pack to go to college and live independently in Georgia.

Maybe Daniel hadn't paid much attention to Clara yesterday because he had been afraid and panicked. Now everything was so clear again, and he saw someone he had still admired until this moment.

"Daniel, are you okay?!" Clara called back, waving her hands at her best friend's face.

Sierra chuckled at her brother's behaviour, and then Alpha Daniel blinked.

"Ah yes, bon appetit!" He said with an awkward expression.

While Clara concentrated on eating her breakfast, Daniel kept stealing glances. The man didn't even notice that he continued to play with his fork and knife on the empty plate, even though the food was already gone.

"Daniel, how long are you going to keep cutting into that empty plate?" asked Sierra, who had been watching her brother.

Daniel blinked again and made another mistake to hide it, he laughed.

"Ha... ha you're right. I am so weird, what's wrong with me, Sierra?" the ridiculous question came out of Alpha Daniel's mouth.

Sierra raised an eyebrow, not at all amused by her brother's joke while Clara chuckled.

"Are you still hungry? Or__ thinking about something?" Clara asked in response.

Daniel shook his head, his lips curling inward.

"I think I have to go to my office soon. I have some important things to discuss with Beta John," Daniel said.

Sierra stifled her laughter again and Clara felt slightly uncomfortable with Alpha Daniel's behaviour.

"I think Clara has managed to distract you again," Sierra said, and Daniel immediately shut his sister's mouth.

During their light conversation, Clara suddenly felt nauseous and ran to the bathroom. Daniel and Sierra looked at each other in surprise.

Daniel and Sierra heard Clara's sick voice. Sierra immediately took some aromatherapy oil, and Daniel prepared a glass of hot tea.

"Clara, do you need help?" Sierra called from outside the bathroom door.

Clara still didn't answer Sierra's question, and she continued to vomit until her oesophagus hurt. Her head was so important that she tried to hold on to the side of the toilet. Clara had never felt like this before.

The sisters panicked and immediately took the initiative to call a pack doctor to come to the house.

Not long after Clara opened the bathroom door, her body became even more limp and her face looked pale. Daniel immediately carried Clara's body, sat her on the sofa, and gave her a glass of warm tea.

"Drink this to warm you up a bit and ease your nausea," Daniel said.

The pack doctor checked Clara's condition, it wasn't long before he smiled as he cleaned up.

"You two don't need to worry! Mrs. Clara is just experiencing something normal for some pregnant women," the doctor explained.

Clara, who was almost unconscious due to her weakness, was immediately shocked, and her eyes widened, as did her two friends, Daniel and Sierra.

"Pregnant?!" the three of them said in unison.

Clara was perplexed about whether she should be happy or sad about the news she had just received. The Pack Doctor then gave Clara some vitamins and prescription medication to help with the nausea.

"The first trimester of pregnancy is very trying for a woman, both physically and mentally. My advice to Miss Clara isn't to let fatigue, lack of rest and keep the nutritional intake of food also don't be too stressed!" The pack doctor explained again in detail and then excused himself.

Sierra and Daniel nodded, then looked seriously at Clara.

"Weren't you diagnosed as barren?" Sierra asked Clara.

"Yes, and that's why I was surprised and shocked," Clara replied.

Clara nibbled her thumb as she tried to remember something. Then she realized it had been a few days before Alpha Robin rejected her. They had in heat before he changed his mind and cheated on her.

"Alpha Robin needs to know this, Clara!" said Sierra, who grabbed her cell phone immediately. Daniel stopped her.

"No, don't tell anyone from the Moonlight Pack. I hid Clara on purpose, the pack isn't safe for her or her unborn child. Do you know how Alpha Robin treated Clara last time?" Daniel explained while holding one of Sierra's hands that was about to take her cell phone.

Sierra sighed, "Okay, but he's the father responsible for the pregnancy, Clara."

Clara smiled and rubbed her stomach gently, looking at Sierra and Daniel.

"Daniel is right, Sierra. It's useless, this man doesn't care about me anymore. I can take care of this pregnancy on my own." Clara said.

"No, Clara! I will always be there for you and your child," Daniel interrupted Clara's speech.

Hearing that Clara was feeling touched and she was shedding tears, Daniel hugged her again and gently rubbed her head.

"Thank you, Daniel. I'm sorry that I ever left here just to follow my ambitions. I should have realized that the most comfortable and safest place is here." Clara said as she returned Daniel's hug.

"It's okay, the most important thing now is that you are happy, so that the baby in your womb is also happy. I will do anything for that," Daniel explained.

Clara felt the warmth of the Dark Moon pack. Especially when she was with Daniel, she always felt calm and peaceful.

"I love you, Clara. No matter what happens. I will never stop it!" Alpha Daniel murmured to himself.

The next day, Sierra got ready to go to the academy. She taught the cubs there.

"Will you be okay if I go to pack house?" Sierra asked to be sure.

Clara nodded and replied, "Don't worry, I can ask an Omega for help."

Sierra nodded and hugged Clara.

"Bye Clara!" she said and walked out the door, munching on an apple.

Clara shook her head. She stood up after finishing a glass of milk at the dining table. The woman wanted to rest again in her room because her body still felt weak.

When she turned around, she almost fell because she bumped into Alpha Daniel's body, who had just come down from the stairs. The man was in a hurry and looked at the clock in his hand until he didn't see Clara, who was about to turn around in front of him.

Then, Alpha Daniel quickly grabbed Clara's body, who almost fell into his arms. The two of them looked at each other again.

"I'm sorry, Clara. I didn't see you before. Are you okay?" asked Daniel, stuttering, his face slightly sweaty and his heart beating fast.

The woman's hand was right on Alpha Daniel's chest. Realizing that Clara could probably feel his heartbeat, Daniel was a little worried and quickly apologized.

Clara always managed to make him feel out of sorts.

"Damn, I almost lost control, she's such an intoxicating opiate!" muttered Alpha Daniel, who walked away smiling.
