"Clara, we're here!" said the man named Daniel.

The rain was still pouring down as the car pulled into the gate of the Dark Moon Pack.

Clara sat quietly in the passenger seat, her head leaning weakly against the car door. Her gaze was blank as if she was looking out the window without seeing anything.

"Clara!" Daniel shouted again, breaking the silence between them.

Then Clara gasped, "Oh yes, I'm sorry, Daniel. Do I still deserve to set foot in the Dark Moon Pack again?" she asked.

Daniel smiled, "Why not? You will always be part of the Dark Moon Pack, and this is your most comfortable home, isn't it?"

Daniel's words made Clara's heart melt. She was touched that the Dark Moon pack still wanted to accept her, who had left the pack long ago without any news.

Daniel then opened the car door and helped Clara into the pack house. Cold air and the smell of wet earth surrounded him. Arriving at the main entrance, they were greeted by running footsteps.

A young woman appeared with a beaming face.

"Daniel, did you find Cla-" Her words were cut short, and her face turned worried as she looked at Clara, who was drenched and dazed.

"Oh Serene! What happened to you, Clara?" Sierra, Daniel's sister immediately approached gently took Clara's hand, and hugged her tightly.

"Let's take her to the room, change her clothes, I'll tell Omega to bring food to Clara's room," Daniel pleaded with Sierra.

Sierra took Clara to the room that Sierra had prepared. After a while, Clara changed her clothes and sat on the bed. Omega came in with a cup of hot tea.

"Drink it, it will make you feel better." Sierra said and sat down next to Clara.

Clara held the cup with trembling hands, the steam warming her cold face. Then Clara tried to take a sip of the tea, but her throat felt dry, and her tears started to flow again.

Sierra hugged her again as she gently rubbed Clara's back.

"It's okay, you'll be okay here. What did Alpha Robin do to you that you texted me that you just wanted to end your life?"

Sierra asked because Clara had sent a message earlier apologizing and thanking Sierra and Alpha Daniel. Clara said that she wanted to meet Sierra at the Dark Moon pack first, and then she would go to end her life.

Sierra was worried and asked Daniel to get Clara. However, fate accidentally brought them together on the way. Alpha Daniel had no idea that the woman he almost hit was Clara.

Clara could barely speak and was crying in Sierra's arms. The long-lost warm embrace Clara longed for.

"He rejected me just because I couldn't give him an heir and he chose another woman." Clara explained later.

Immediately, Sierra felt unbearable emotions, but the wolf in her tried to overcome them.

"Damn it, he took you from us without permission and now he gives you back without ethics? What kind of man is he?" Sierra grumbled.

In the middle of their conversation, Alpha Daniel entered Clara's room.

"Do I have to avenge you right now?" Daniel asked Clara, clutching his arm.

Clara shook her head and tried to restrain Daniel. Daniel reluctantly held back. Seeing Clara crying was honestly painful for him.

Sierra replied with comforting words, "Clara, we are here. We are family, even if we didn't come from the same womb."

Clara slowly raised her head, her eyes reddened with tears.

"I'm sorry I left and chose to be with someone who turned out to be a false love," Clara said, and Sierra responded with a smile and a hug.

Later the night, Clara sat in front of the pack house overlooking the dark forest. The rain had stopped, leaving only fresh air mixed with the scent of wet earth.

Daniel, who had been watching her, came over with a cup of warm milk for Clara.

"Clara, may I join you?" Daniel asked with an embarrassed expression.

Clara smiled and nodded, "Of course, please."

Daniel approached slowly and then offered Clara the cup he was holding.

Clara raised an eyebrow, "More tea?" she asked with a smile.

Daniel chuckled, "It's warm milk, I knew you'd get tired of drinking tea since Sierra often makes it for you."

They chuckled together as they shook their heads.

"Thanks!" Clara said with a smile.

Daniel sat beside her and let the silence fill the space between them. After a while, Clara finally began to speak with a sigh.

"I feel so stupid, Daniel. I cut off communication with you, Sierra and the Dark Moon Pack just because I chose Alpha Robin. I gave up everything. How did he return my feelings?" Clara paused as she chuckled, "He betrayed me to the point that I didn't know how to go on, and that took away my feelings for him."

Daniel nodded slowly, looking at Clara intently.

"You're not stupid, Clara. You just love someone too much. It wasn't a mistake, but it was a strong heart."

Clara turned to Alpha Daniel, "How do you know that?"

"Because I did, I loved that person with all my heart, loved her so much that it was hard to forget, even though that person had already found his love."

Clara frowned, "Who is this woman, you never told me."

Daniel laughed, although he was feeling nervous. "Haha forget it, how can I tell you, you just cut off communication."

"Okay, okay, I'm sorry."

Clara smiled at Daniel and vice versa. Their eyes met, and there was something in Daniel's look. There was warmth and sincerity, but Clara didn't notice it.

They were silent again for a while and finally decided to return to their respective rooms.

Clara went first, and Daniel followed later, but Sierra, his sister, suddenly intercepted him.

"Hmm, a warm and meaningful conversation, but unfortunately you didn't include me." Sierra said as she pursed her lips at Alpha Daniel.

Daniel roughly rubbed Sierra's head, "You're just a nuisance"

Sierra pouted, and Daniel chuckled. Then Sierra said again, "How long will it take?"

Daniel nodded his head slowly. He looked a little confused.

"I don't know when the time is right. I don't seem to have a place in her heart."

Sierra said, "How could Clara know how you feel, Daniel? You've always kept them to yourself."

"I'm just afraid, Sierra. These feelings will destroy our bond of brotherhood. I don't want that to happen and I can be happy if Clara is happy with her choice."

Sierra shook her head, "Yes, yes, yes, and you know that Clara's choice turned out to be - painful, do you still think that you can be happy and continue to hide behind your hidden feelings?"

Without waiting for an answer from Daniel, Sierra knew that Daniel wouldn't answer her either. Sierra left for her room, leaving Daniel behind.

Clara may have found refuge in the Dark Moon Pack, but the journey to heal her heart has just begun.

She tried to control her thoughts, as most acid reflux flares up when the sufferer has too much on their mind, coupled with an empty stomach. "But this feels so nauseous. I'm going to the kitchen today to fill my stomach before my acid reflux worsens," Clara muttered. She got out of bed and started to go to the kitchen. But before she could take a step towards the exit, the feeling on her face intensified and made her want to vomit. She rushed to the bathroom. At the same time, Sierra was about to enter her room next to Clara's. Sierra heard Clara's voice vomiting. "Clara, are you okay?" asked Sierra, who opened the door to Clara's room and looked inside. However, there was no answer from Clara; she continued to vomit until it sounded like a pretty severe nausea condition. Sierra got worried and knocked lightly on the bathroom door. "How is Clara?" Alpha Daniel asked Sierra, who was playing with her cell phone while eating snacks in the backyard. Sierra turned her head, "I went to her room earlier and saw that she was still sleeping. I just got back from the pack house too." Alpha Daniel nodded and then placed an invitation on the table next to Sierra. "An invitation from the Silverhide Alliance?" said Sierra, who opened the cream-coloured envelope with a rose-gold floral design. Sierra continued to read and it was an invitation to the councils of all the packs in the Silverhide Alliance. The leader of the Alliance, Alpha King Raymond, wanted to celebrate his daughter's wedding. "You're coming with me again, Sierra. Actually, I was reluctant to go because I was lazy with the Alpha's questions, asking me to have Luna soon. However, it would be rude to refuse the invitation," Daniel grumbled in front of his sister. Sierra nodded thoughtfully and had an idea. "Hmm, how about you go with Clara. It woul
