Chapter 4

    Leonardo's secretary came to the office to inform him about the email sent by Eva's assistant. He opened the email and smirked at the thought of Eva being a shareholder. 

He called for a meeting with all the shareholders scheduled for the next day. He then went out to meet with his friends at their usual meeting spot. A club house where they relax and have fun. 

         "Leonardo! It's so good to see you. You've been avoiding the club these days. Simeon told me you were so busy." Diego said as he got there. 

Leonardo got himself a seat and ordered for a drink. 

         "I have a life you know. I have a lot of responsibilities on me." He replied sarcastically. 

Alfonso smirked. 

          "You should stop being the good guy for once Leo. Cheer up! Your wife is still pretty and you've been with her for years without complaining." 

Leonardo rolled his eyes. As if having to see Isadora everyday is not enough. His mind drifted to the beautiful woman he saw today. For years he's seen very beautiful women but none has caught his eye like Eva. Eva just seem to have a great aura around her. 

        "Leo are you still here?." Alejandro asked. 

He nodded. 

        " You were staring into space. You seem lost what's up with you?." Alejandro asked again. 

     "We have a new shareholder. She goes by the name Eva Guerrero." 

They all looked at each other and faced him serious. 

         "Wait. You mean that beautiful damsel Eva is now a shareholder at the Acosta empire? When did this happen?." Diego asked excited. 

      "Why are you so excited like you've been waiting for her to come for a long time?." Alfonso asked Diego. 

       "We have a meeting with her tomorrow. That's the main reason why I came here today." Leo added. 

      "So you didn't want to come? What's your problem Leo. You've been avoiding the dragons for a long time now. You need to know something Leo, you're a part of us and you're going nowhere." Simeon seethed. 

Leonardo got up and drank the rest of his drink. Then he left the club ignoring his friends who are calling him. He decided to go home and rest. Luckily for him, Isadora wasn't home. Rissa must have also gone out with all of her friends.

Violet Hernandez is a young pretty girl who lives with her adopted family. They are not really good to go but they're trying. 

The Hernandez family took care of Violet since she was a baby. They had to tell her everything about herself when she grew up. She also showed gratitude to them by working hard and helping them with everything. 

They named her Violet because she was found with violet clothes on and also violet shawl. 

The Hernandez family consists of Rosa Hernandez the mother, Lorenzo Hernandez the father, Maya Hernandez the first daughter, Ximena Hernandez the second daughter and second child, and Luis Hernandez the only son and last child of the family. 

Lorenzo Hernandez owns a small engineering tools shop while his wife Rosa runs a small hair salon. 

        "What are you thinking about mother?." Violet asked Rosa who was lost in thought that she didn't know when Violet came in. 

Rosa sighed softly.

        "It's nothing to worry about Rosa. I'm only thinking about the bills and the ways to settle them. Meanwhile someone delivered this to you." Rosa gave Violet a letter that was delivered when she went out. 

         "What's it about mother?." She asked. 

Rosa shrugged. 

       "I'm not sure. Open it let's see. I didn't want to open it since you aren't around." 

Violet opened the letter and screamed in shock and happiness. 

         "Oh my God!." 

Rosa's heart jumped. She rushed to Violet. 

       "What's it Violet?." She asked confused. 

       "Mom I just got a scholarship into The Acosta group of schools. The best and most expensive school in the country!." 

Rosa got excited and hugged her. 

        "Darling that's so amazing. I'm so happy for you." 

       "Thanks mother. It's tuition free and also I get free textbooks, everything will be paid for by the school." Violet explained excited. 

Maya and Luis came in. 

         "What's all the excitement about?." Maya asked. 

Rosa collected the letter from Violet and gave it to Maya. 

          "Your sister just got a scholarship to that school. Now we don't have to worry about her tuition anymore." 

Maya smiled happy for Violet. Luis also hugged Violet but sad that she's not going to be with him anymore. They won't be going to school together anymore. 

          "I'm going to miss going to school with you Violet." Luis pouted. 

Violet hugged him with a smile. 

         "Come on little brother. I'm not leaving forever. We'll still see everyday. It's just our schools that is different." 

       "Enough of acting like a baby. Come with me let's go prepare something to celebrate this. I'm sure your father would be excited to see this." Rosa said and dragged her to the kitchen. 

Even though they're happy for her, they still have a load of bills and debt to settle. Violet thought of a way to settle it. She wants to help and also go to school. Then she remembers the vacancy she saw at the work agency where she went to make someone's hair on behalf of her mother. 

        "I'm going back there." She thought. 

After helping her mother cook dinner, she went out to look for her friend Raul and tell him the good news.

Raul is a boat engineer who's four years older than her. She's seventeen. Raul is better off and has a good paying job. He likes the blonde violet a lot but he hasn't found the right opportunity to tell her. 

Raul may be good friends with Violet but she never used that as an opportunity to burden him with her problems. 

         "I can do this on my own." She always tells herself. 

Raul works as one of the top engineers at the Acosta empire. His pay is good and he's also good looking. Violet likes him but then finds it hard to date someone like him, especially because she thinks they're not on the same level. 

Raul thinks that perhaps he's not good enough for her. He decided to struggle hard to reach the top and really become worthy of her. Violet is a very beautiful girl with a lot of guys after her. Some are sincere and some are not. 

Raul has made sure he protected her ever since he met her. He's not going to let any man lay his hands on Violet as long as he's concerned. Violet is his.
