Chapter 5

Eva walked downstairs later at night to have dinner. Her employees had called her to come have dinner but she sent them away. Her grief about finding the blue dragons is still fresh in her heart. 

She sat down in the dining room when Alma started to bring her dinner with the help of the other maids. Eva suddenly remembered the young boy who came to seek for a job earlier. 

"Alma where is that new boy." She asked folding her napkin. 

" He's somewhere around the house working my lady." Alma replied bowing. 

"From now on, he should be the one to serve me dinner. I know he's going to school so I'm going to spare him for breakfast." Eva ordered. 

"Yes my lady." Alma bowed and left with the maids. 

Alma keeps wondering what Eva saw in that boy that she had to accept him so close to her. She is serious about accepting him as her new personal maid. No one knows where he's from, for all they know he could be out to hurt Eva.

Miguel stayed in the garden looking at the beautiful view of the mansion. He never expected himself to be somewhere close to a place like this. He has been in an orphanage for years till he decided to leave at the age of fifteen. 

That was two years ago. He has been struggling to make ends meet since then. He lives in the streets and works for money anywhere. He's a very good looking boy but he's a bit skinny because he hasn't had good food in a long time. 

"Thank you for this opportunity miss Eva. I'm going to make sure I work hard so you don't regret accepting me. You're my angel and I'm going to do whatever it takes to make sure you're safe. I promise you with the Stars." He said raising his thumb up to the sky. 

"Hey what are you still doing here?." A voice said behind him. 

He turned and saw a very pretty brown haired girl around his age dressed in the maids uniform. The girl also looks shocked to see him, he's so handsome. 

"Ummm... I'm sorry I was just looking at the stars." Miguel replied her. 

"You must be the new employee. Well the lady doesn't want her employees out late." She said. 

Miguel sprang up. "Oh sorry. I didn't know. I'll be going in now." 

"What's your name?." She asked. 

"I'm Miguel."

She raised her brow. Doesn't he have a surnname? 

"I'm Ciara. Next time don't stay out this late or you'll get into big trouble with the lady." She informed him. 

He nodded. 

"I'll be leaving now. Good night." 

Ciara watched him leave. 

"Wow Ciara, you need to stop being an idiot." She scolded herself and walked inside.

The next day, Eva is prepared to go the the Acosta empire. Today she's going to meet her long time enemies. The people who ruined her life and who has been giving her sleepless nights. 

Every night she has nightmares about them and they keep doing the same thing over and over again. 

Damien was already waiting for her downstairs. She walked out of the house and Damien opened the car door for her to get in. 

He got into the front seat with the driver. 

"Eva are you sure you need this introductory meeting? Are you gonna be okay?." He asked her. 

"I am fine Damien. Sooner or later, I have to face them and no time is better than now. I won't let them slip out of my hands." She replied with so much hatred. 

Damien nodded. 

"I'll be there in case you need anything." 

The ride to the Acosta empire was a long one but they got there on time before the meeting. Eva was led to Leonardo's office while Damien waited outside with Leonardo's secretary. 

Leonardo walked in with his briefcase. There's no doubt that Leonardo is a very good looking man, one can also take his looks to that of a gentleman. 

Who would have thought he's part of the people who made her life miserable?

"Good morning Miss Guerrero. I'm sorry if you've been waiting for long." He said softly. 

Eva stood up with a smile and shook his hands. 

"Not at all Mr Acosta. I just got here too."

Leonardo is once again staring at her beautiful face. She just had this killer smile that can melt anyone. 

"Have a seat Miss Guerrero." He offered.

Eva sat back down, she maintained her smiling face even though she is feeling so much anger and hatred inside. She doesn't want to do anything that will ruin her plans. 

"Relax Eva. You can do this. You're stronger than this." She said to herself. 

"The meeting would proceed in a few minutes, we're just waiting for the other major shareholders to arrive. They're not really staying here so I hope you understand." Leonardo said. 

"Do I have a choice?." She shrugged. 

Leonardo smiled. Maybe what he has heard about Eva isn't totally true. She does have a lot of enemies who would do nothing but spread rumors about her. The only thing no one knows is where she is from exactly. 

No one knows her family members or history. Only what she told people and no one has been able to find that out. 

"I think the meeting room is ready. Shall we proceed?." 

"Sure Mr Acosta." She replied and got up. 

They both left the office for the meeting room with their assistants. They took the elevator to the floor where it is situated.

As soon as Leonardo and Eva entered the room, everywhere fell silent. Eva walked in with a smile that made her look very beautiful. 

The blue dragons couldn't take their eyes off her. Eva loved the effect she is having on them. There's no way her plans for them wouldn't work now. 

"Good morning everyone. Before we start this meeting, I would like to introduce the newest member of the board. She's the new shareholder at the Acosta empire. Welcome Miss Eva Guerrero." Leonardo introduced. 

Eva smiled while everyone clapped. 

"Thank you everyone. I hope we will do a lot together to continue with the growth of this empire." She said and sat down. 

"And to introduce the major shareholders in this group... "

Eva already became so tensed. He looked at the three men sitting beside each other staring at her. She needed no one to tell her who they are. They're the infamous blue dragons. 

Damien was standing behind her, he put his hand on her shoulder to calm her down. It doesn't show that she's uncomfortable but he knows she is. 

"Calm down Eva. You can do this." He whispered to her ear. 

She suddenly felt relieved that Damien is behind her. She calmed down and looked them straight in the eyes. 

"It's nice to meet all of you."
