Chapter 2

The clock struck five in the morning, and Mona woke up and sat up in bed. Eyes swollen, she picked up the small mirror on the nightstand and looked at her reflection. Her chest felt tight again, and yesterday's events immediately came to mind.

"It wasn't a dream," Mona mentally exclaimed softly.

"I used to admire you, Sister," Mona muttered under her breath.

"But not now, you bastard subjugated me to replace you," Mona continued holding the mirror tightly.

"What should I do...," Mona's words were cut short by Arka's shouting at her door.

"Mona hurry up and make me breakfast!" Arka shouted and the man walked away to the dining table, sitting on a chair playing with his cell phone.

Mona quickly got up to put the mirror away and smoothed her hair just enough to tie it together. Stepped into the bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth. After finishing, she immediately went to the kitchen to cook.

"Next time wake up early and prepare breakfast!" Arka ordered without looking at Mona who turned her head.

"Yes, Brother-in-law," Mona replied.

"You must have read the letter," said Arka in a cold tone.

"You're taking her place as my wife," Arka exclaimed and looked at Mona who was frozen at his words.

"Make me some coffee!" Arka ordered and Mona quickly prepared what she was told.

"Here, Brother-in-Law." Mona put the coffee on the table and looked down, not daring to look at Arka's face.

"After a leisurely run, breakfast and work clothes should be ready!" Arka joked and got up without waiting for Mona's answer.

Mona just sighed softly, did her chores then quickly changed for school. It was lucky that the man still wanted to send her to school, wasn't it? Otherwise, what would Mona's fate be? Energizing herself, Mona hurried through the household chores.

"Finally finished too," Mona said then rushed to her room to clean up and get ready.

Arka had just finished a leisurely run, she looked at the dining table where breakfast was served. Stepping closer and sitting down to enjoy Mona's fried rice. The man glanced at the coffee that had cooled, he hadn't drink it earlier, so he went straight to exercise. Arka grabbed her cell phone and sent a message to her sister-in-law.

[Prepare more coffee, it's already cold. Hurry up!] - Arka

Mona, who had just finished combing her hair, immediately grabbed her cell phone as it vibrated with an incoming message. She hastily tied her mane again, grabbed her bag, and ran to the kitchen to prepare the coffee. After that, she quickly put it on the dining table, giving Arka a quick glance.

"I'm done, you have breakfast!" After saying that, Arka stepped into the room making Mona sigh, and then sat down on the chair to have breakfast.

"Patience Mona, you better have breakfast," Mona monologues to herself then devours the food in front of her eyes.

Arka finished getting dressed grabbed her bag and stepped out into the kitchen. Putting a fifty rupiah note on the table. Glanced at her coffee briefly and exhaled harshly.

"This is money for your school fees," Arka said and left Mona without taking another sip of the coffee the girl had made.

After eating, Mona immediately got up and took the money that Arka had put down. She put it in her pocket and quickly cleaned up the dirty dishes. After that, she quickly stepped outside and stared at the empty garage.

"I'm so stupid! I wonder if Mas Arka would be willing to take me to school after Kak Dinda's betrayal," Mona scolded herself, then chose to walk to school because it wasn't too far away.
