Chapter 1

All the items were scattered on the floor, many of them broken. Mona was surprised to hear the sound of falling objects, she immediately ran even though her bag was still attached to her back. Seeing his brother-in-law sitting on the bed while holding a paper made Mona curious, she approached and asked quietly.

"Brother-in-law, what's wrong?" asked Mona looking at Arka who immediately looked up when she heard her voice.

"Go away!" snapped Arka, getting up and glaring at Mona.

Mona looked down as she was surprised to get yelled at by Arka. With weak steps, she left and rushed to her room to change her clothes. After that, she went around looking for her sister.

"Sister Dinda, where are you?" Mona kept shouting trying to find her sister who invited her to live with her two months ago when their parents were gone.

Until a voice made her stop looking, it sounded very cold. The man who pampered her and even sent her to school here turned into a creepy man. You could see the hatred in his eyes.

"She's not there," Arka exclaimed coldly looking at Mona who was downstairs while he was upstairs.

"Is Dinda's Sister shopping?" asked Mona, feeling a chilling air as she looked up to meet Arka's gaze, making her shudder in horror and look down.

"She left, and she's never coming back," Arka replied, making Mona's eyes blink and her brain tries to digest Arka's words.

"What does Brother-in-Law mean?" Mona tried to push the bad thoughts out of her brain, instead, she asked Arka who immediately smiled sarcastically while stepping closer to her.

Fear rising in her heart, she stepped back as Arka approached. The man grabbed the arm of his sister-in-law who was trying to get away. Arka roughly grabbed Mona's hair making the girl groan in pain and tried to remove Arka's hand from her mane.

"Sister-in-law, it hurts," Mona moaned as water slowly fell from her eyelids.

"It hurts! It hurts me more! Don't you understand, that your savage sister ran away? Taking the money and jewelry I gave her," Arka snapped and then released the hold turning to stare at Mona's reddened cheeks.

"That's impossible, Brother-in-Law," Mona said shaking her head, her knees felt weak and she fell to the floor.

"I didn't think it was possible either, but this is what happened!" Arka snarled, kicking Mona to her back and causing the corner of her lip to bleed.

"Go to your room, or you'll die by my hands right now!" Arka ordered, making Mona try to get up and step into the room while sobbing with pain.

"Sis, is it true you're leaving? You're such a bastard! Leaving me and Brother Arka who loves you so much," muttered Mona still in disbelief, she opened the drawer to get the medicine but instead she found a paper.

"What is this?" Mona asked and brought it to the bed to read it.

The content of the letter

Mona, you left with the man you love. You can't stand Arka, he's too stiff and unromantic and even weak in bed. Meanwhile, you have wild fantasies. You stay with him, I've written a letter to him too. Do good and obey, so that you can achieve the goals you want. Replace Brother as his wife, serve him.

From Dinda to Mona

Mona crumpled the paper and threw it, crying hysterically. Then she threw the books that were lying on the bed unopened. After pouring out her frustration and disappointment, the girl fell asleep.
