I went to the tree where the pup`s scent was still strongest and with my nose to the ground followed her scent trail until it was joined by another unfamiliar scent that was mixed with fear and the strong smell of blood. I mind linked Thomas that I found her parents scent trail and from the amount and smell of blood that they died from their wounds trying to lead the rogues away from the pup.

After we found what remained of her parents we went to the pack’s camp and saw no survivors and the ground littered with blood and the ones who had died in battle. I sat on my haunches with my head tilted towards the sky howling my sadness to the sky as my packmates joined me. After we buried the dead, we went back to where her parents had fallen trying to protect her. After Thomas carefully placed her parents on mine and Clarence`s backs we walked back to camp to report to Frank. After we got back home, we laid her parents down in the center of the clearing. Ruth as Rain decided to cal
