LYING

LISA POV

This past week has been the best so far and I can't believe I'm saying that, I thought smiling at my reflection in the mirror. I was sitting down and my maid was carefully making a few touches on my face.

“Miss Downs, you're glowing even more today,” Ella, my maid , said smiling.

I smiled at her from the mirror and said “thank you”, she carefully took a step back, I looked at her “are you done?” I asked and she nodded and left.

I stood up to stare at my short floral yellow dress with pink flowers and looked at my face. I was smiling a lot, and why wouldn't I be?. Daniel has been the best this past week. We went to lunch to eat together,we went to the hospital to hear our baby's heart beat and now we're going on a dinner date so why wouldn't I be glowing?.

It's been so nice ever since I told him the child belonged to him and I feel at ease I thought smiling. I give myself a nod of approval before carrying my handbag and leaving my room.

Walking down the stairs I called my driver “Bob get the car ready I'm coming out” I heard his reply and ended the call. I got to the last step when I heard my dad's voice.

“Going somewhere princess?” Dad asked with a glass of drink standing in the sitting room with uncle Ben sitting, also staring at me.

Oh, did I forget to say Dad and Uncle Ben don't know about Daniel and I? Well they don't know.“Yeah...I'm meeting up with Maya… for dinner” I said looking straight at Dad.

“Oh” he said smiling “I haven't seen that trouble maker in awhile” and Uncle Ben joined to laugh with him, “why don't we join you guys today you two seem to be enjoying by yourselves,which is unfair”

“Yes that will be nice” uncle Ben said standing up “we should get dressed maybe those single moms will notice us” laughing.

“NO!” I shouted. Dad and uncle Ben froze confused

“Is something wrong darling?” Uncle Ben asked.

“of course not” I shuttered “we….are just…we just want to be in our own”

“Sweetie we will leave immediately after dinner” Dad said concerned

“Yes darling, we won't disturb your other plans tonight” uncle Ben said with a wink

“No… come on it will be so weird and plus we just want to be alone” I said walking to the door.

“Weird?” Dad asked

“Nothing is going to change, you'll just pretend we're not………..” and I slammed the door before uncle Ben could complete his sentence, “wow she's feisty today…pregnancy hormones?” Laughing and taking a sip from his drink.

I was able to leave and distract my driver before meeting up with Daniel. We just finished eating and decided to talk a little.

“So your Dad didn't suspect that his princess was lying to him,” Daniel said, smirking.

“Hey” laughing “don't be like that, I hate lying to my dad you know… I just don't want to annoy him any further” I say sadly.

“Hey babygirl,” resting my hand on hers on the table “I understand okay let's not think about that for now……though I would really love to come out to your dad” she looks at me shocked “but since you don't want to I won't” Daniel said smiling.

Smiling I say “thank you” and pecked him in the cheeks “how's work mafia and all”

“Ohh does someone miss working already?” I laughed.

“You try to be pregnant and your dad says you should ‘stay low’ how would you feel?” I said annoyed.

“I'm sorry baby but your father is right. If you're caught they will use you to threaten your father and I won't stand back and watch my woman and child in danger” Daniel said seriously.

I smile shyly “your woman?”

He smiled and shifted close to me in the booth “what? Aren't you my woman” he said with his hands on my thigh going up slowly “or do you say otherwise?”

My breath hitched “no I wouldn't” his hands kept going up and I couldn't think straight. We haven't had sex since the last time in his car and I wanted him so much it hurts “should we….” I trailed off.

He whispered in my ears “should we what?” His hands grazed my crotch up and down repeatedly and I couldn't breath well.

My body didn't react to someone like this before except Daniel and I didn't mind.

“Should we leave? No I want to leave” I said out of breath

And he leaned and kissed me softly before pulling back “I told you no sex for now” smirking.

“Oh my god”I said, covering my face”did you just…” laughing.

“I'm sorry I just had to” he said laughing. “Laugh more often baby, I love hearing you laugh” he said sweetly staring straight at me.

“You're funny," I say slowly.

I can't believe I'm feeling this way, shy? Was that even a word to me before,but wow, what has Daniel done to me?

“We should leave it's getting late before my dad gets too worried and sends a search party” I said with a chuckle.

“Alright baby girl” .

We paid and left the restaurant. Daniel made sure I got to my car before kissing me on the forehead before leaving.

I got home and casually walked into the house and my dad's voice echoed in the house.

“Why so late princess? You know you're pregnant” he said, sitting on a single chair facing me.

“Dad, did I keep you up? I said sweetly.

He ignored my question and stood up. He walked until he was right in front of me and he said,

“Who's the father of your child?” The sudden question cut me off guard cause I didn't know that he would ask that question again.

“Dad what are you talking about, we've been over this” I tried to walk past him when he held onto my elbow harshly and pulled me.

“When were you going to tell me?” He said in a low deadly whisper. This is when I usually get scared around my father, the beast is finally out.

Trying to get loose I said “Dad if you could explain…..” and he pulled me even harshly and I whimpered.

“Stop playing games with me Lisa” and he angrily smashed his glass of whiskey on the floor “when were you going to tell me you were seeing the Winstons” he pushed me and took off his jacket, I slowly touched the area where he held me to soften the pain.

“Dad, are you spying on me?” I say calmly.

“No, I was keeping an eye on you to keep you safe. I waited everyday for you to tell me why you keep on seeing HIM but you lied to my face repeatedly” he angrily yelled.

“I understand how you feel…..” and he cuts me off

“And I just had to find out he's the father of your child” he said in a deadly way. I love my dad but when he's angry he can be the devil himself and the devil just paid me a visit tonight.
