I LOVE HIM

LISA POV

“And I just had to find out he's the father of your child”. I felt like I couldn't breathe anymore, I watched as my dad walked to the table and threw everything to the floor yelling. I just stood and watched him.

How long has he known? How did he find out? Does he hate me now? All these questions just kept going on in my head, I tried to take a step to my dad but I felt frozen in the spot. So I decided to speak instead.

I exhaled shakingly “i….I can explain if you let me”

“You had your chance to speak the truth yet you lied to me over and over and over again” dad said in a very deep voice holding onto the table with his back at me, “you haven't been with HIM for long and you're already lying to your father” he spat bitterly.

“Daniel has nothing to do with this.” I didn't know what came over me but the moment I said those words I quickly regretted it because of how fast dad turned to look at me, I swallowed and tried again, “he didn't even know I was pregnant for him at first and when he found out he wanted to talk to you and take resp……”

Dad cuts in “responsibility?,” He scoffs “he just didn't have the balls to face me after what his father did to me” a flash of pain flashes in his eyes but quickly recovered “you're never seeing him again” he said sternly.

I slowly approached him and said slowly to get through to him, “I'm not 18 anymore Dad I can make my own decisions. Whatever happened between you and Mr Winston, I'm sure it can be settled if you can just tell me what went wrong we can ……”

“What has gotten into you?” Dad yelled and I stopped when I got to see his face and saw he was not happy at all, “you never defy my orders, can't you see he isn't good for you? He is changing you. What do I have to do for you to know that?.”

“Dad listen, you just have to know him and you'll see he isn't a bad person” I tried again trying to reach for his hands when he held my arm hard.

“Why are you trying so hard?” He yelled

I couldn't hold it back and yelled “because I love him” breathing heavily. I can't believe I said that for the first time, I just realized that I loved Daniel but the first person I had to tell was my dad “I love him Dad, please just…just try to get to know him” I say softly now.

My dad drops my hand and takes a step away from me “Dad…” he raises his hands and cuts me. He stood tall and said

“Lisa Amelia Downs you're forbidden to step foot out of this house and everywhere will be heavily guarded so don't even think of running away” dad said sternly and bitterly.

“Dad…. Dad no…Dad please you can't do this” tears forming in my eyes.

Dad walked to his chair and pressed a button soon security swamped the place. He quietly sat down and I could see the mafia king, the beast himself had manifested.

“Take all electronics from Lisa and search her room for any device at all, seize it all and bring them to me. She is to stay in her room and this house until she gives birth to that thing in her” in instinct I quickly covered my stomach like my baby could hear his words. He looks me dead in the eye “understood?” And he glared at the security men.

They all responded together “yes sir”.

I just stood there shocked and staring at my dad and the security men as they divided themselves into two groups the first set searched me and my bags to collect my phone's and other devices, while the second set went up to my room to seize my laptop and every other thing called an electronic device and handed them to my father.

“Take them all to a place she would never find it even if she searched for it” the bitterness in his voice became more evident now and he looked at me “you can go to your room, I'm done with you”.

I scoff “you’re done with me?, Is this how you want to show your authority?” I asked angrily

Dad signaled for the security to leave “I'm only trying to keep you safe” he said sternly.

“By showing me who's boss?” I couldn't hold back the anger anymore.

“What are you talking about?” Dad was clearly confused but right now I didn't give a fuck.

“I am the boss now not you, you don't give orders around like that” Dad stood up and walked over to me and said,

“And I made you the boss, I still have the right over you and this empire”

“I worked my ass off to be worthy to lead this empire,” I scoff angrily, “This isn't about Daniel or Mr Winston, it's about you not trusting me to lead this empire. I got pregnant and you immediately took me off the throne like you were waiting for the opportunity” I spat angrily.

“You have no idea what you're saying, you are my daughter so this belongs to you…”

“That's what you want to believe, but you and I both know you would rather rule till you die”

“If your mother was alive…..”

“But she's DEAD” I yelled and Dad slapped me. It echoed in the house and I heard the door squeak, I turned to see uncle Ben standing at the door. I turned back to look at Dad and tears dropped down my cheeks.

I breathed in and out and chuckled, cleaning my eyes but it kept falling, “you keep talking like you were the only one hurt from mom's death, I too was hurt and I'm still hurting, I have a lot I want to say to her every single day. I grew up wanting her to join me in school for PTA meetings, mother and daughter race every fucking time but guess what she wasn't around.” I sobbed

“Lisa….” Dad tried to speak to me

“I'm sick and tired of trying to please you, I don't give a fuck anymore” I turned to leave when he said

“This is for the best, soon you'll understand……no one is allowed to come into this house except I and Ben. I didn't even turn to look at him, I just walked to my room and slammed the door screaming and throwing everything and anything I could find around.

I bent down to pick something to throw when I felt a sharp pain in my stomach and I remembered I was pregnant, and slowly sat down on the floor holding my stomach crying “I'm sorry, I'm sorry baby” I kept mumbling to myself hoping my baby could hear and feel my sincerity and know how much I still love him no matter what.

I felt like I was losing strength but kept mumbling to my baby, I could feel the darkness surrounding me and it slowly swallowed me.
