FIND HER

DANIEL POV

I kept getting pissed over little things, I haven't been able to concentrate. Why wasn't I able to Lisa? Is she okay? Did something happen to her? I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that she just disappeared without notice for 2 weeks, she wasn't even coming out of her house.its like she's not even at home.

I checked all airlines and railway stations to find out if she might have left but there were no records at all. It keeps frustrating me. I angrily banged my hands on the desk and everyone was startled by my sudden outburst.

Yes, I'm in a meeting and my workers were briefing me about a new project we were about to launch and I didn't hear a thing because my mind kept drifting to why I couldn't reach Lisa, but as always I have to be the boss and pretend I was listening. No one can know I was thinking about a woman.

Just so you know everyone has been walking on their toes around me for the past few weeks. Apart from Mark who has been smiling sheepishly at me but as always I ignore him.

“How can you be so clumsy?” I quickly scanned through the proposal given to me and realized a few mistakes and used it to liberate myself.

The worker presenting the document stammered “I…I don't understand sir” she stammered.

“How would you understand when you can't see little mistakes like this” I touch the bridge of my nose and signaled for her to come closer, which she did and I pointed out her error and said in a deep whisper “we don't copy other brands we make ours, even if you want it steal or use it as an inspiration don't let the company's name show, understand” 

“Yes sir, I'm sorry sir” she kept apologizing scared.

“Do it again” and I threw the proposal on the table and stood up. Everyone followed pursuit. “This meeting has been cancelled’’ and I walked out to my office and Mark was quick on my trail.

I got into my office and stood at the glass wall running my hands through my hair.

“Woah my man nothing is going to remain on your head if you keep pulling your hair.” Mark said cheekily, obviously trying to make me spill the beans.

“Shut up” I pulled out my phone to check for any missed calls or text from Lisa but still none “fuck” I threw my phone on the wall and that got Mark's attention. 

He stood and walked to me “come-on dude it can't possibly be that clumsy mistake that got you all pissed again” he turned me to face him “if you don't say what's bothering we're never going to fix and for ducks sake I'm rooting for you and Lisa why won't you just tell me what the fuck is going on with you”

I guess he already knew what was bothering me, just wanted me to confirm.

I sighed and sat on the floor and he joined me “she disappeared” that was all I said and Mark stared at me for more. I chuckled and said “sometimes you're so dumb”

We both laughed a little and I started to explain to him how our last date ended well and how she promised to call me afterwards like she always does but that night she didn't she just went MIA.

“Dude this is serious, have you thought of checking if she might have left the country or state?” Mark asked.

“I have…I have tried doing everything I fucking can to reach her, I just don't understand what went wrong” I say

“Could it be her Dad……nah that can't happen right? Mark asked.

And for the first time my mind went to the fact that her father must have found out about you. How can I be so stupid, he was once the mafia lord for fuck sake how won't get trail his daughter's whereabouts.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck” I stare at Mark “I must find her” I started thinking of a plan and it clicked as I smiled, Mark smiled too,

“Ohh already have a plan?” Mark said when he realized that he was part of the plan his smiled dropped, “no, no, don't even think about it, I don't even want to know your plan anymore…..just…just forget I ever asked” he tried to stand but I dragged him back making him sit back down on the floor.

“Come-on marky,, you don't even know what I'm planning, just listen…okay.” Mark nodded and I smiled “you're going to a gay club” 

“What the actual fuck Dan? I fuck women not men, I love seeing pussy get wet” he said shocked

“It won't be that bad and you don't even have to fuck a guy, just find Maya tell her you're with me and I will be waiting in the car, see simple” I said with a shrugge.

“If it's so simple, why don't you do it yourself?” He said about crying, well I know he's joking he won't actually cry, right?

“Are you crazy? Why the fuck will I go to a gay club?, Just get dress I will drop you off” I said patting his shoulder and standing,

“Wait….you….but…” he tried to say

“You're right Marky I feel better now, thanks” I said smiling and walking out of the office, while Mark sat on the floor still processing everything.

I hope to find Maya, Lisa told me the name of the club once I hope I remember. I wonder how she's coping. Is she locked up or not? Is she eating well? Is she happy? There are so many questions I just want to ask Maya but first I have to find out which gay club she's at and what time.

 I pulled out my phone and called my personal assistant. “I need information on someone. I will send you her name” I hung up and sent the necessary details to be able to track Maya and hope my PA would be fast to find her. Stay strong baby girl I'm coming.
