Chapter 3

In the lobby of Roberts Group, Leonard led a group of people in charge into the lobby. As soon as he entered the door, he noticed the young man sitting in the middle. This person wore gold glasses and a carefully tailored suit. Compared to the sharp Leonard, he looked gentle, elegant, and leisurely.

“This must be Mr. John.”

Based on the previous documents, Leonard concluded that this was the CEO of Gelex Group in North America.

“Mr. Leonard, nice to meet you.”

Because the two people's personalities were completely different, the atmosphere between the two was a bit strange when they talked. Leonard was too sharp, while John was too gentle.

“Tell me, how much will you pay for this project?” Leonard sat down and threw the documents on the table.

“Mr. Leonard, the problem is not the price. The problem is that we want to have the right to buy this project,” John said with a smile.

“Buy first, we can give it to you, but the price your company offers is not sincere at all.”

The two talked for half a day without any results. The lunch break had just passed, and it was already three o’clock in the afternoon.

Nina was still standing at the gate as usual waiting for Lucas to finish school, but after waiting for ten minutes, he still did not come out. She ran in anxiously.

“Teacher, where is Lucas? Have you seen Lucas?” Nina pulled a teacher’s hand and asked.

“Lucas? He just left.”

“Oh my god. Did he leave?”

Nina was so anxious that she quickly took out her cell phone and called Adrian: “Adrian, I can’t find Lucas, come back quickly.”

In the tense atmosphere of the negotiation, the melodious ringtone of the phone suddenly rang, and everyone paused for a moment. As usual, when going to a meeting, the cell phones were turned off. But this elegant CEO not only did not hang up but also openly admitted that the caller was an important person.

“Nina, don’t worry, calm down, I’ll be there soon.” The gentle voice with a hint of comfort rang out softly, this sound made everyone here open their eyes wide. Just like that, the CEO of the multinational corporation hurriedly left the hall: “Sorry everyone, I have urgent matters to attend to.”

Everyone opened their eyes wide as he left, secretly turning back to look at Leonard.

“Is this sincerity?” Leonard angrily threw away the pen and walked out of the hall.

“General Manager, the selection of child actors for the new toy commercial is open, do you want to see it?” The assistant asked Leonard.

“Um..” He reluctantly tried to cheer himself up, turning on the audio-visual equipment. In the pictures of those boys, each child looked different, all of them were quite good, but none of them satisfied him. His finger gently pressed against his wrinkled forehead.

“Nina, where are you?” Adrian first ran to the kindergarten but couldn’t find Nina so he could only call out to her.

“Adrian, the teacher said that after school, Lucas went out alone. I'm going around looking for him." Nina said in a panic.

"You just stand there and don't go anywhere, I'll be right there."

"Lucas, Lucas, where are you?" Nina's voice was full of sobs, she ran along the main road outside the school to find him.

"Nina, get in the car." Adrian drove. "Nina, have you seen anything unusual about Lucas these days?"

"No." Nina clenched her fists, her small face pale and wrinkled.

"Then where could he have gone?"

"Adrian, could Lucas have been kidnapped by someone?" Nina nervously pulled Adrian's sleeve.

"No, we just got here and there are no enemies. Nina, think about it, these past few days, has Lucas said he wanted to do something or think about something?"

"Oh, I remember." Nina suddenly remembered the day Lucas said he wanted to join the cast of a certain company.

At this moment.

"Police officer." Lucas picked up the recruitment poster of the Roberts Group and pulled it to the side of the road. "Police officer, I want to come here."

"Where are your parents?"

"They're all waiting for me here, can you help me?"

The police officer looked Lucas up and down, feeling that something was wrong. What kind of parents would leave their child alone? Moreover, looking at the way this child was dressed, he didn't look like a normal child.

The police had no choice but to carry the boy into the police car, thinking that he would first go to this place to see and then take this child to the police station.

“You see, there is a very cute boy here, let's see if he can audition for this role.” Leonard anxiously picked up the TV remote, intending to turn it off, but at this moment, an extremely handsome and cute boy appeared and was caught in the lens. The boy's lively and cute appearance and innocent face immediately attracted him. Although it was only a short five or six seconds, it left a deep impression on everyone. Filming a commercial with this boy would have a very good effect.

 Leonard immediately called out the door, wanting to call the security guard to go find this boy. But suddenly there was a strong feeling that made him involuntarily want to see this boy with his own eyes, so he quickly ran towards the outside door.

"Little friend, your parents aren't here, right? Come with me to the police station. It's dangerous to go alone."

"Uncle, I want to get involved in this but my mother won't let me go, so please help me. When I get home, I will explain to them."

Although Lucas pleaded, the police's attitude was still to take Lucas back to the police station.

When Nina and Adrian ran over, they happened to see the police carrying Lucas away.

"Adrian. Did that policeman keep Lucas?"

"Yes, let's chase after him."

"Assistant Harry, how is it over there? I just said to go find that boy, have you found him yet?" Leonard talked to his assistant while driving.

"We are still looking for the boy."

Leonard was worried that the boy would get lost, so he drove faster. Suddenly, a police car appeared around the corner in front of him. He slowed down to avoid the police car and turned right, but not far behind the police car, there was a Bugatti Veyron following closely. Leonard couldn't avoid it in time and overtook the car. His car and the Bugatti Veyron both broke down at the same time.

"I'm sorry sir, we have urgent business. Here is the contact phone, we will come back to handle this." A woman's face appeared hurried and pale, through the car window, she discreetly handed Leonard a piece of paper with her phone number written on it and left.

Although Leonard was very angry, he didn't pay attention because he was looking for the child.

"How is it, has the child been found?" Leonard asked his assistant.

"General Manager, we have searched everywhere but still haven't found the child you mentioned."

“You guys are useless.” Leonard looked at his assistant coldly. “Keep looking for him until you find him. Get out.”

“Yes, General Manager.” The assistant left in fear.
