Leonard wanted to ask more, but at this moment, Aaron had already escaped from his grasp and ran away.

It turned out to be the nun from the orphanage.

“Mr. Leonard, we are very grateful for what you have done for the orphanage. Aaron, come out quickly and thank him.” The nun pulled Aaron’s small arm, but he still refused to come out.

“Madam, I want to ask about Aaron’s situation,” Leonard spoke his mind, the thought of adopting Aaron flashed through his mind, making him extremely excited. “Aaron, go out and play.” She pointed at Aaron, speaking nonstop.

“Aaron entered the orphanage more than four years ago, a pitiful child abandoned in an ordinary hospital, doesn’t like to talk, has an introverted personality, and is a bit autistic.”

“Can I adopt him?” Leonard suddenly exclaimed, his words shocking everyone present.

“CEO, there’s no need to be like this. You’re the single CEO of the Roberts Group, and you adopted a child who doesn’t look very good? If the media finds out, they’ll write nonsense again.” His secretary said in a low voice.

Everyone looked at Leonard as if waiting for his confirmation. But he remained silent in the chaos.

“Sorry, let me think about it a bit more.” Hearing him say that, the secretary let out a soft sigh. “General Manager, you have to think carefully. If you like this kid, we can come here to visit him often.”

“Sorry, I still have work.” Ignoring everyone’s horrified gazes, Leonard strode straight out. When he started the car, he suddenly saw Aaron hiding in the corner outside. Seeing him, Leonard’s pupils seemed to light up. He turned the car around, opened the door, got out of the car, and watched him quickly run away.

“It’s just a kid.” Leonard gently reassured himself that his emotions had never been so out of control like today because this kid reminded him of what happened five years ago.

Seeing a group of kids on the way home, he slowly walked away.

“Mom.” Lucas pulled Nina’s hand and happily told the story of his day at kindergarten to his teacher. “My friends all said I was healthy and beautiful, hehe.”

“Are you satisfied this time?” Nina gently pinched Lucas’s nose and hugged him.

“Mom, the teacher said we will go to the orphanage to visit our friends there tomorrow, and Mom and Dad have to go with us.” Lucas hugged Nina’s neck.

“But I still have to go to work tomorrow.” Nina was a little embarrassed because her leg was injured, and she hadn’t gone to work for a few days, but she couldn’t bear to disappoint Lucas. “I will try to go there, okay?”

“It’s okay, Mom. If you can’t go, then it’s okay if you don’t go. I will go with the teacher.” Lucas was very good at understanding people’s hearts. Sometimes, Nina felt that she didn’t speak like a five-year-old child, perhaps the underlying reason was her previous life. Thinking of this, Nina felt a sharp pain in her heart.

Today was the first day of the orphanage’s activity. Because Nina was busy with work, she only brought Lucas there.

“Lucas, I cannot go with you today, I am sorry.”

"Aaron, why don't you go out and play with your friends?" The orphanage director gently pulled the little boy's hand and asked. In the orphanage, Aaron was one of the children that everyone loved very much. This child was very beautiful, also very understanding, except for not liking to talk, he was also very good.

“I don’t like it.” Aaron lowered his head.

“You don’t like the other friends?”

“Yeah, they all have parents, I don’t.” The small, innocent face looked up at the principal seriously; his black pupils seemed to be covered with a layer of mist.

The principal was shocked in her heart; her eyes also began to dim.

“Why don’t my parents need me?”

“No, your parents should be…” The principal suddenly didn’t know what to say.

“Then…” He was sad, his small head was lowered, and the principal tried to comfort him but couldn’t find the right words.
