Chapter 6

“Are you awake?” The gentle and soft voice sounded like a blessing from heaven. Nina opened her eyes and saw a strange young man sitting in front of her hospital bed.

“I…. where is this?”

“This is the hospital. I almost bumped into you just now, so the CEO ordered me to take you to the hospital. Moreover, the CEO said that you are not allowed to come to the company to send flowers anymore.” The man’s words filled Nina’s stomach with resentment.

“Nina, you are really good. You can make Leonard sign the receipt.”  The flower shop owner's eyes lit up with admiration. Although Nina had gotten Leonard's signature, she also encountered many difficulties.

“Do you know why I still can't find a flower delivery person? Because most of my bills are from Roberts Group and Leonard, as you can see..." The salesman said softly. After Nina heard that, she felt scared all day yesterday. If that unexpected event hadn't happened, she would have returned home in a mess. Why is that CEO so arrogant?

"Nina, another mission has arrived. So today's sunflower bouquet is for Leonard's assistant Lena."

Why Roberts Group? Nina frowned.

"Don't worry, an assistant is probably much easier than a general manager."

Nina held the bouquet and walked into Roberts Group. The staff heard that she wanted to deliver flowers to Lena, but no one stopped her. It's just that she was still a little worried. What should she do if she met Leonard again?

What the hell is this? The nameplate clearly said that this room was the assistant's office, but why were there so many people meeting there? Nina was stunned by the scene before her eyes. Everyone's eyes were focused on her as if they wanted to burn her to ashes. Leonard frowned, making her feel a dangerous aura. But she only came here to deliver flowers.

"Why are you?" Lena stood up in surprise.

"Let's stop here today." Leonard adjusted his clothes a bit and quickly walked out the door. Nina covered her face with the bouquet, afraid that he would see her. Suddenly, however, her arm was grabbed again. Nina raised her head and saw Leonard's cold face.

"Hey, let me go." She struggled.

Leonard didn't say a word, and in front of everyone, he pulled her into his office.

"Tell me who sent you. Red Shadow Group, Sun Company, or New World Group?" His eyes narrowed, Leonard pulled Nina into his chest and looked straight into her eyes threateningly.

"What?" The man's heavy breath blew on Nina's face, making her face red, she was both scared and quickly pushed Leonard away. "I don't know what you're talking about?"

"Don't know? Then why do you keep barging into Roberts Group?"

"According to what you said, anyone who comes in and out here can do it, why does it have to be me?" Nina was a little angry, this man really didn't know how to reason. Hearing her say that, Leonard loosened his grip.

"I remember I said I didn't let you appear here?" Leonard grabbed Nina’s wrist. “What’s wrong? Fine, tell all your company employees not to accept flowers, I won’t come again.” Nina’s eyebrows rose in anger, and her courage also increased. At this moment, the phone suddenly rang, Nina took advantage of Leonard’s phone call, quickly broke free from his restraints, and ran out.

“Miss Lena, these are your flowers.”

Lena hurriedly signed and asked, “So you’re the flower delivery person now? It was Jack before.”

“I don’t know.” Nina was upset, so her words were very unfriendly. She was about to leave when she was called back, “Put these things in the box and throw them away for me.” Seeing her arrogant and domineering appearance made Nina very unhappy. But thinking about it, she was an employee of the flower shop, so it was inconvenient to say anything. She held a bunch of trash, wishing she could immediately disappear from this building, but in fact… just because she rushed to the elevator when it was closing, she didn’t pay attention, didn’t think about anything, and went in. As a result, Leonard was inside.

Nina was petrified on the spot, wasn’t this a case of enemies meeting?

“Don’t you see this is the CEO’s private elevator?” The space shrank, and Leonard’s cold words suddenly made Nina a little panicked. She hugged a pile of things and stood in front of him, feeling like he had lost the ability to speak.

Leonard carefully examined her face, the more he looked the more he felt like he had seen her somewhere before, could it be just a coincidence?

It was only a few seconds, but Nina felt like tens of thousands of years had passed. This man in front of her made her feel like she couldn’t breathe, could it be because she was too suspicious?

“You.” Leonard couldn’t help but tell her to get out of the way.

Nina foolishly turned around, causing Leonard’s white suit to be instantly stained. Nina was momentarily stunned, feeling like the gaze above her head seemed to want to kill her on the spot.

“Get out of the way.” The mixed sounds were angry. Nina knew she had caused a big problem, didn’t dare to refute it, and obediently moved aside. “Mr. Leonard, I’m sorry.”

Outside the elevator, a group of people were waiting for Leonard. Seeing Nina and Leonard walk out of the special elevator together made everyone momentarily surprised. In this Roberts Group, no one was allowed to use this special elevator, but this flower delivery woman was. “Mr. Leonard, I’m sorry,” Nina anxiously followed Leonard but couldn’t find a word to say.

“Harry, prepare another suit for me immediately. Also, the meeting this afternoon is delayed by five minutes, and all the activities at the orphanage are canceled. Wine Party, you tell Timothy to replace me.” Leonard’s face was gloomy, continuously assigning tasks to a group of people in front of him, all of them were silent, and he didn’t tell them that the CEO’s mood was not good today.

“Mr. Leonard, I'm sorry." Nina still wanted to apologize to him but couldn't get close to him.

Ah, so it turned out that this person had soiled the CEO's suit. Harry looked at the pile of things in Nina's hands.

"I didn't mean to. Otherwise, I..." Nina hadn't finished her sentence when Harry interrupted her and scolded her: "Otherwise, what? How do you want to compensate? Do you have enough money? Do you know how much this suit is worth? You still don't want to go?"

Nina lowered her head, her face burning. She unconsciously touched her face and quietly walked out. But after thinking for a while, she turned back and bowed her head, "Leonard, I'm sorry."

At this moment, the people behind her suddenly laughed loudly. It turned out that her face was dirty because of her. Seeing her appearance, Leonard couldn't help but twitch the corners of his mouth, but Nina just happened to see it. The whole world instantly became quiet before her eyes, only ugly faces distorted and smiling, at this moment she turned into a big joke. It turned out that this was the real world. She hated Leonard for a moment, his bright eyes were accidentally covered by a layer of steam, she turned around wanting to run away from this place, but her feet slipped and she fell heavily.

Really…. If she could choose, she only hoped that at this moment, she could lie here forever and never have to get up, so that they wouldn't see her besides her material and messy face.

Leonard saw Nina fall, and his heart suddenly trembled. This feeling was not a surprise, not pity, but inexplicable. Before he could figure out what it was, his two feet had automatically gone to where Nina fell.

"Are you okay?" The kind security guard saw this scene and immediately helped her stand up in front of Leonard. This made Leonard stop.

"It's nothing, thank you," Nina said it was nothing, but her right leg was in severe pain, obviously sprained. Nina limped out of the Roberts Group. Except for Leonard behind, everyone seemed to be watching a comedy. They pointed and laughed, only Leonard's face did not change.

"Harry." He didn't change his expression as he called Harry to his side, "Looking at your performance just now, I think you're no longer suitable to work at Roberts Group. So you can leave this place."

Leonard's words were like "Thunder in the clear sky". Harry's legs went soft, and he fell to the ground in the hall. Everyone was scared stiff, and in a flash, everything became silent. Although they didn't say anything, they were all sweating. It seemed that the incident just now had shaken the CEO's nerves.
