Chapter 89

Rae’s POV

I heard the whistle just in time to spin away from the arrow. I feel more than hear Toby running up behind me.

‘Rae, drop.’ He screams in my head.

I drop down to the ground and glance up. I gasp as shock hits me. It’s the guys from the bar. The one that was always trying to hit on me. What are they doing here?

‘Hunters, Rae. They’re hunters.’

He says as he goes after one of them.

‘What are hunters?’

‘They’re the reason that we are almost extinct. Stay down.’ He screams in my head.

I want to listen to him but I can’t. Serenity is snarling in my head. There has to be about fifty of them. Before I know what is happening, Serenity pushes forward and I’ve changed into my wolf. She charges towards the ones closest to us. I hear Chris running out as well. I don’t know what he was saying though, as Serenity grabs a hunter by his arm.
