Eden pov

Cold shivers ran down my spine at the mention of the name of the very man who had crushed my heart with the help of my wicked step-mother.

Richard knew better than to bring him up, especially in situations as such. I needed to get him out of here, not to chit-chat about a man that held no value in my life.

Besides, I still had to think of how to avoid everyone, who apparently wanted to sell me off to some mysterious giants. I had my whole life ahead, but so did Richard and that baby who just lost his mother, so I had to move faster.

As I got back to the task of freeing Richard, the door to the cells opened and shut with such force, the sound echoed against the walls.

I froze and held my breath, for some reason, thinking no one would notice me standing there if only I didn’t breathe. Not that I left two dismembered bodies behind either, eh?

“Told you she’s a wild one. Knew that ever since I saw that spark in her eyes.” Although his voice was laced in so much pride, I felt

Unknown pov“Is she near?” I asked the general. “I believe so,” the general grunted, skimming through the paperwork. I still had no idea why he wanted that bug-sized girl. He had mentioned something about how precious her blood was, but even without her, we could survive for a couple of hundred years on the frozen reserves we had. Deep down, I knew there had to be more than blood. The general had never acted this out of character, he had never wandered the place like a lost child, stuck in his mind. But what could be the reason for a man such as a general to act like that? Ever since I had known him, he has been the most level-headed individual I’ve had the pleasure to meet. A loud groan caught my attention and pulled me out of my thoughts. General sat down and tossed some of the paper pages away, making more frustrated sounds. “What’s wrong?” I asked, careful not to appear too excited to find out more. Out of all of us, he was the one who hated any display of curiousness the

Eden povEverything happened so fast, I couldn’t follow it all. At this point, unbeknownst to me, somehow I had managed to position Titus in a way his head laid on my thighs and my hand cupped his cheek. His breathing was labored and eyes kept closing. I didn’t feel the burning in my throat, despite the blood that gushed out of him and even Kanox did nothing but howl in agony. “Don’t you dare to die on me, Titus! Don’t you dare!” I hissed at him as I tried to focus on nothing but his heartbeat. Although I wanted to watch how Xabat dealt with Asher and his fucking friend, I couldn’t bring myself to pull my gaze away from Titus. I feared he would give up if I didn’t keep watching him. “Do I look like a dead giveaway?” Titus chuckled, still finding a way to add another joke even in a situation as such. I couldn’t hold back the tears anymore. I had always known Titus was important to us, but I barely found out that he was so much more than I thought just minutes ago. I couldn’t lose

Lucius povAll I saw was red. Not for a second did Xabat allow me to see what was happening. He didn’t stop at locking me out of the body, no, he locked me out completely. I could still hear Eden’s screams in the background, but I couldn’t tell even one word apart. Xabat claimed she was cheering us on, demanding bloodbath, but I wasn’t that sure anymore as he was blinded by rage and hurt. It felt like we found our third piece of happiness just moments ago, all for those fuckers to take it away from us. Neither of us was willing to give up on Titus. We refused to let the guilty ones live for what they did. Only when Xabat stopped did he let me see the aftermath. I had seen many awful things, burned down my fair share of vicious packs and killed even more, but the view… I think I vomited in my mouth a little. Within a second, I stood next to my lovers, completely naked. Eden couldn’t stop muttering something, but what worried me more was the fact that I could barely hear Titus’ hea

Lucius povOne by one, seconds passed and turned into minutes. Then, minutes turned into hours and at one point, I realized the night had passed by without any changes. Xabat was growling restless. He insisted Eden was looking for us and the fact that Titus didn’t open his eyes started to worry us both. It couldn’t be that this didn’t work. Doing what I did was the biggest damn risk I had taken in my life, but I still refused to let myself think of the possibility of failure. Titus had to live. If I didn’t manage to keep him alive, I would find someone to bring him from dead and then kill him myself simply because he didn’t fight for his life. Our mate wasn’t a coward, he never gave up, so I hoped he wouldn’t give up now either. “It’s still a possibility,” Xabat muttered, catching me off guard. “Huh?” Was the only word I could form, stuck in the haunting thoughts. “Titus, not making it. Don’t get me wrong, the same as you, I refuse to believe it could be a possibility, but we c

Eden povI couldn’t deny that although I knew Lucius asked me to leave for a reason, I still felt hurt. The fact that I couldn’t be near while Titus was in critical condition broke me. Titus was as much mine as he was Lucius, wasn’t he? Besides, I wasn’t starving, even with all that blood surrounding me. And yet, I did what I was told and left them behind. It had to be the hardest thing I had ever done, but deep down, I knew it was for the best. Even as I navigated my way through the forest, Kanox tried to calm me. At first, I didn’t walk far from the castle. I hid aside for about ten minutes just to return, free Richard and get him the medical attention he needed. Then, I found the baby those bastards were hiding and locked the men in the cell that was used to torture Richard. There were a couple of men I recognized, so I ensured they caught all the newcomers and locked them away until Lucius could deal with the traitors. During the process, I found out that the new head of sec

Eden povAll anger and annoyance faded from Kanox as the hunters were getting closer. Once they were in a distance I could see them, I realized he was right. They were, indeed, carrying a massive metal cage. Now, that made me think about their target. Who were they planning to catch? Clearly, they didn’t think of killing anyone if they brought that cage. Their intention had to be to kidnap someone. “Help!” I screamed and dug my nails in my leg, to add more pain to my voice. The men dropped the cage and ran towards me. It was getting a little hard to fake fear and pain without breaking out in laughter. But, since I had changed and learned so many things about hunters from the hunters themselves, I knew the only thing they did was make the so-called ‘monsters’ forget their humanity. If they didn’t go out of their way to hurt and kill, no one would bother them. “There. A girl! See, I told you I heard a scream!” One of the men shouted as he was getting closer to me. To up my game,

Lucius povThat day, when I took Titus back home, both of us were excited to see Eden. What we didn’t expect was to meet her in front of the castle just as we returned, covered in blood from head to toes. She refused to tell us what had happened even after a whole week passed. During the week, we carefully followed Titus’ recovery step by step. He got better, almost perfect health and it seemed that he was adjusting to his new self. Leo took the change pretty easily so that was a massive weight that was taken off my chest. And yet, up to this day, Eden still refused to tell either of us what she did in the woods that night we spent in the damn cave. It didn't matter how many times Titus and I asked the questions. We even tried to bribe her with the weirdest offers and she still refused to budge. What we did find out from her was that Asher was connected to giants somehow. He had gotten a family member in, that was how he found an easy access to the castle. The thoughts ran throug

Titus pov“Why did you bring me to the forest?” Eden gazed up at Lucius as they walked hand in hand. Her head was tilted to the side and eyebrows furrowed together. I wondered if she had any idea how cute she looked when she was confused. Lucius didn’t speak. Once she realized he wouldn’t give out anything, Eden glanced at me over her shoulder. I winked at her, but didn’t give her an answer either, siding with Lucius. Since I didn’t speak either, Eden pouted and peered at Lucius again. “You had me wear something pretty just for a walk in the forest?” She whined. But again, she was met with silence.Clearly, she wasn’t happy, contrary to how she acted minutes ago when she discovered pockets in her dress and grinned like a maniac. What was it with women and pockets? Ah, scratch the reasoning, whatever it was - the smile on her face was enough for me to want to buy her all the dresses with pockets I could find. Lucius led her to a small clearing we found on our way back to the cast

Eden povI was beyond nervous as I tried to stop my hands from shaking while cutting up the vegetables. I hadn’t had enough time to figure out how to come clean with my family, but this really felt like the right time to do that. Lucius and Titus were probably already playing their guessing game about whatever they had done wrong and I wouldn’t disturb them doing that. Honestly, both of them have been acting like two hormonal teenagers these days, so they deserved a little adult worthy stress. As some of the kitchen ladies joined me and started up the usual conversations, I felt more at ease. However, every time when I glanced at the clock and saw the dinner time nearing, a new wave of unease surged through me. “Are you planning to prepare some desserts for little Magnus, my Queen?” Mayra asked, flashing me her usual bright smile. I hummed, thinking if sugar was a good idea right before bedtime. But then again, this dinner had to resemble sort of a joyful moment, so maybe it wou

§Three months after the wedding.§Titus povEden was officially ours and no one could do shit about it. Our journey had been nothing less than a deadly fucking rollercoaster ride, but the outcome was so worth it. Looking back at how things went, personally I went from thinking I wouldn’t find a mate, to finding one and being rejected, and finally, to finding out that my best friend and the woman I had grown extremely protective of were my own ‘it’. But best of all, I didn’t get only them. With them both came a family I didn’t dare to dream of and an awesome son. I didn’t tell Lucius and Eden, but if I had to choose, I would always choose Magnus. The little dude was awesome. At least sometimes he was.And now, while Eden and Lucius were busy running around the castle and fucking on top of every surface they could find, my little man Magnus and I were nearly done with building the most badass lego set ever. Well, we would be done with it ages ago if the little shit wouldn’t accuse m

Eden povThe next moment, Titus shoved me on the bed. Both my amazing mates, now husbands, didn’t return the favor they did when they were undressing me. Instead, they took off their clothes torturously slowly. Piece by piece, they dropped everything next to their feet and grinned at me like lunatics.Rolling my eyes, I groaned and turned to my side to mumble, “since you two are taking ages to undress, I might as well take a nap while you’re at it.” I knew I was playing with fire, but what was life without some spark in it? It didn’t take much time for both of them to grab my ankles and pull me to the end of the bed. Lucius instantly dropped to his knees and spread my legs. The moment his tongue ran between my folds, Titus’ lips captured mine in a passionate kiss. All of my moans were muffled and silenced by his tongue, tasing me and exploring every bit of my mouth. When Lucius slid his tongue lower, I bit Titus’ lip to break the kiss. “What?” He asked, breathless. “What is Luc

Eden povWith Richard and Magnus by my sides, I felt at ease. The door opened and the music started. As soon as we stepped on the beautiful white carpet laid down the aisle, Lucius and Titus turned their heads to look in our direction. The moment their eyes set on me, blinding smiles spread across their lips. I had never thought about my wedding day, but I never imagined that my husband-to-be would cry seeing me. In reality, I had two men who were ready to die for me, and both had tears in their eyes. As I slowly walked down the aisle, I couldn’t tear my eyes away from them. Both were wearing perfectly tailored suits, a rose in their pockets. And best of all, they were holding each other’s hand. When I finally reached them, Richard squeezed my hand, whispered, “I’m so proud of you,” and then held my wrist to offer my hand to Lucius. Magnus did the same, but he whispered that I looked beautiful and he would punch his dad’s asses if they hurt me. Richard and Magnus took their assi

Eden pov A week had passed since we returned home, like one, united family, better than ever. Lucius made it his life goal to ensure that my old pack had everything under control. As it turned out, the old Alpha was a liar, not a man of honor. He faked his disease to get rid of the responsibilities of leading a pack and while everyone worried about his health, the old Alpha lived a life of luxury. That, of course, was sponsored by the wealth left to me by my mother as well. Recently, the new Alpha and his Luna found out that the pack was nowhere near struggling financially even without my money. They had loads of cash hidden all over the place and multiple incoming money streams. We all agreed that it had to be the plan of the old Alpha and my step-mother. They had to have been planning to save up as much as they could, bleed the pack dry and take off. But as for us, our life was great. My mates were better than ever, Richard took it upon himself to bond with our son and b

Eden pov This was one of those moments when I really needed Kanox. I needed his advice or at least to hear his voice. While I had no idea what I was supposed to do, he would definitely have the answer. My eyes focused on the sick creature, wearing someone’s else’s skin as if that was no big deal. He looked human, but didn’t smell like one. Honestly, if he were to walk among other humans, I had little to no hope that anyone around him would understand that he was a sick, sinister creature, not one of their own. When he stepped so close I could smell a hint of sulfur on him, I realized he wasn’t just another supernatural. This was the first time I caught on the smell as well. “Will you first tell me the full story about my parents?” Clearly, he saw through me. I wanted to know, yes, but I also was using the question to stall, to win some time for my mates. “Of course, anything for you,” it said, grinning. I gulped, growing more nervous with every second that passed, but

Titus povI had no idea how Lucius felt about this, but what I found extremely fascinating was how the old man spoke about Eden. He sounded amazed and scared shitless at the same time. Sure, I wasn’t the best person to judge one’s character without massive amounts of information, but I could have sworn that he was just as clueless about what this ‘special’ trait was as we were. “And?” Lucius broke the silence, urging the old man to tell us more. The grunt that left him clearly was a proof of his unwillingness to tell us more, not that Lucius cared anyway. “Richard, we are done playing games. It is our mate you are talking about, Titus and I deserve to know what’s so special about Eden and exactly why that creature is after her.” My eyes darted between them two as I imagined an intense tennis match. The ball went from one side of the court to the other, never reaching the ground or the white lines surrounding them. At this rate, this imaginary match could go on for ages. “There a

Lucius pov“Where?” I growled the word as I stomped to him, grabbed his throat and squeezed it until I cut off his air supply. I trusted this fool. I trusted him with the safety of my mate and this is how it came out? He ran like a bloody coward while our mate was taken by some mad lunatic and brought Goddess knew where? Richard’s hands grabbed mine as he struggled to get out of my hold, but I had none of it. Whatever would happen next was out of my control - this time, I would allow Xabat take the fucking thing he loved almost as much as he loved our mates. Richard’s spine. Titus rushed to my side and carefully placed his hand on my shoulder. “Xabat, babe, let him go. Trust me, we need him alive. It wasn’t his fault. Don’t make this harder than it already is. Listen to what the old man has to say, maybe he has ideas where that fuckhead took Eden. We need the old man.” Honestly, I wouldn’t have released Richard. Ever. He had to pay for his carelessness and lack of attempts to save

Eden povMy eyebrows furrowed in confusion. I understood that this thing was on some weird quest because of my late mother, but why was her blood so damn important? While I was busy trying to figure it out, the creature snapped his fingers and suddenly, my eyes opened with ease. The weight was gone and nothing held me down, except for the restraints on my legs. “See, it wasn't so hard, was it?” It mocked me.My eyes scanned the dark room until they set on the black blob of nothingness in the furthest corner. I might be freaking dreaming because I could have sworn the thing was grinning at me. It had no mouth, no eyes, no limbs - nothing. And yet, I could feel his eyes on me and see the non-existent grin across the lips. “Do not worry, my lovely. I shall help you see me in a better light soon. You see, I have brought a friend with me. Trust me, you’ll love him. I chose him to fit your liking. I told you that I’ve been watching, haven’t I?” With that being said, the thing disappear
