One by one, seconds passed and turned into minutes. Then, minutes turned into hours and at one point, I realized the night had passed by without any changes.

Xabat was growling restless. He insisted Eden was looking for us and the fact that Titus didn’t open his eyes started to worry us both.

It couldn’t be that this didn’t work. Doing what I did was the biggest damn risk I had taken in my life, but I still refused to let myself think of the possibility of failure.

Titus had to live. If I didn’t manage to keep him alive, I would find someone to bring him from dead and then kill him myself simply because he didn’t fight for his life.

Our mate wasn’t a coward, he never gave up, so I hoped he wouldn’t give up now either.

“It’s still a possibility,” Xabat muttered, catching me off guard.
