All anger and annoyance faded from Kanox as the hunters were getting closer. Once they were in a distance I could see them, I realized he was right. They were, indeed, carrying a massive metal cage.

Now, that made me think about their target. Who were they planning to catch? Clearly, they didn’t think of killing anyone if they brought that cage. Their intention had to be to kidnap someone.

“Help!” I screamed and dug my nails in my leg, to add more pain to my voice.

The men dropped the cage and ran towards me. It was getting a little hard to fake fear and pain without breaking out in laughter.

But, since I had changed and learned so many things about hunters from the hunters themselves, I knew the only thing they did was make the so-called ‘monsters’ forget their humanity.

If they didn’t go out of their way to hurt and kill, no one would bother them.

“There. A girl! See, I told you I heard a scream!” One of the men shouted as he was getting closer to me.
