61: Don't Worry

He stepped on the gas and the speed went like crazy. His speed didn't scare me anymore. It feels like I'm already used to it. What makes me worry is the fact that a vampire is after my head and is willing to do anything to kill me. It sounds like a scene in some suspense movie, but I can't feel any kind of thrill at this point. I am afraid that the hunter would end up killing somebody else since he could not touch me because I am under a powerful vampire family's protection.

I got my phone in my jeans and searched for Mom's number in my contacts. She won't be home soon, so we cannot talk in person. So I am left with no choice but to talk with her on the phone to say my alibi. In that way, she will not worry over me if I won't be home for the next few days.

"Hello, Eve. What's with the call?" Mom asked on the other line.
