66: Between the Two

It was a peaceful night for the both of us. I slept with a peace of mind because there is no killer vampire hunting for me, and Carter  just by my side.

The next morning, Carter was nowhere to be found when I woke up. He only left a message saying that he left to change and that he will be back afterwards.

I did my morning routines with my usual pace. I was already combing my hair when I heard a different noise outside. I looked through the window, thinking that maybe it was Carter driving a four-wheeled vehicle rather than his Diavel. But to my suprise, it wasn't Carter I had seen. It was Jaxon who got out of a black jeep.

Since I was done with everything necessary, I went downstairs at once. The image of Jaxon with all those werewolves is still so fresh to me that I feel like I don't know what to say around him. Nevertheless, I should still face him. After all, he is my friend. And I believe that he will remain to be
